Don't show surveyors the shape_area field. Hide that one. It only causes problems.

Yes, static meaning to calculate them outside of AGOL. I would never have surveyors create polygons in an app or in the field, and expect them to be accurately measured. The surveyors I know would lose their mind of over this, haha! Many surveyors do not see GIS as an 'accurate' measuring tool so they know that when calculating areas in GIS that they will not get the desired results. Typically, all AGOL maps are in WGS84 Web Mercator, which is the main source of the issue, that I have found. You would need another mapping application to give you more accurate, in-field measurements. Perhaps a Portal system could be in your native projection but I'd still be cautious of its measurements.

Wow, thanks for making this thread. I was poking around for a while trying to find this option as it is pivotal to many of my dashboards. The focus mode thing just wastes to much valuable real estate and makes dashboards truly worse! I hope this gets reconsidered by Esri.

Katie, I am curious to know what you find out about this. There seem to be a few posts on the boards about issues with the June 2026 update, so I wonder if a 'patch' needs to come out and address these issues! I have not seen the issue you are seeing but my category selectors only zoom to one map/layer. I have noticed that I no longer see the option for a user to fully expand a widget like they used to since this update, even though I still have the 'allow re-size' checked on

Jose, I am not aware of a GeoAI tool that can do that but I would be curious to know what would happen if you were to take that same list and throw it into a 'regular' AI tool like Claude, ChatGPT, etc., and see if it can parse out the information you need. Those tools might be smarter in that aspect since it is look at text explicitly and not necessarily dealing with spatial features. Another idea, depending on where you live, is to create a web crawler that can validate the address against a true postal service database. In the United States, we use the USPS website and a web crawler (like Selenium) with a python script that will run each address across the USPS database and have it return the true/valid address into another field. This works for true postal addresses but not sure about intersections like you mentioned above.

Nicola, I too have had issues with measurements in AGOL versus anything else and my rule of thumb is to NEVER use AGOL to properly and accurately measure anything. I work with surveyors where accuracy and precision are very important. We have found that the best way to represent anything regarding measurements is to have a 'static' field in the feature that gives the correct measurements that the user needs to see. Thanks, Adrian

How do you have the field set up? Is it in connect or in the web builder? I have a Survey123 Connect form that has a "dateTime" field that shows date and time for the user entering in the data (and it does have a default set to 'now()' but can be edited) Can you show an image of your connect form for that field? Is it possible that a calculation is in place or maybe readonly is set to yes?

One thing came to mind. I don't have any mobile workers so I can't see this in my org but maybe you have to make a new user type and assign it to these mobile workers. I had to do this with my viewer user types to participate in groups outside my org. Here is a screenshot of where I did this at.

It sure does look like you're coming up on a normal roadblock here, and you're right, the documentation is seriously lacking in this capacity. I would think someone from Esri would chime in on this to set the record straight on what is allowed with mobile worker versus creator. If you look at the licensing comparison chart https://www.esri.com/en-us/arcgis/products/arcgis-online/buy They, don't even list mobile worker next to the creator level, so you can't even compare the two. It's like a completely different, non-friendly category. Out of curiosity, are you able to add viewers to this group?

That doesn't look right at all! Are you storing a large aerial image in that new template? That would be the only thing I would think would increase the size like that.

Hmm, maybe I am not understanding the data very well. I notice that if I try this with some data that I have, it shows me a 'count' of all points that occurred on those dates. This is how it looks natively (similar to yours, except it shows a '1' instead of a 0). But if I choose Parse Dates, it looks a little more spread out Maybe that could work in yours?

These are pretty big questions and hard to answer without knowing more about you. CAD products can be somewhat similar to Pro but there are many differences and they all have a learning curve. My best advice is to go ahead and get your feet wet with using these programs as that knowledge is very valuable. Are you a student? Are you employed by an company who has these software programs? What do you want to do with CAD software? What industry do you work in?

What happens if you do a filter for those values (where the value does not equal 0)? Does it truncate your chart in a way that does not look good?

This is a very interesting dilemma. What kind of map series are you using? I haven't tried it but it seem like using a Thematic Map Series could potentially solve this problem: https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/help/layouts/thematic-map-series-and-dynamic-elements.htm However, the python script above might be better!
