Robert, at this point, it may be worth contacting Esri support. That type of behavior does not sound normal.

It sounds like you may need to contact the organization to see if the link is incorrect or if the service is down.

Are you sure that you have the correct URL? Can you contact anyone at that agency to verify that the URL is correct? Or maybe the service is temporarily down (or maybe the service has changed)?

Eric, I am guessing your AND vs OR question is directed at your other thread here: Feature Layer multiple definition expressions Robert has addressed that question. For logic questions involving AND as well as OR (and others), you have to think like a computer. "AND" works if BOTH of your conditions are true. "OR" works if EITHER of your conditions are true. For the OR statement Type = red Type = blue True? Yes No Yes No Yes Yes Yes Yes Yes No No No For the AND statement Type = red Type = blue True? Yes No No No Yes No No No No Yes Yes Yes Hopefully that makes sense.

Hi Laura, That is unfortunate that it is crashing on you like this. I had some crashing issues with 10.2.1 (different reason). I was able to resolve those issues with installing a service pack (though I don't recall which one). Do you have the ability to upgrade to 10.4 or 10.3.1 or 10.2.2? If not, maybe try this service pack (was the only one I could find with a quick search): ArcGIS 10.1 SP1 - 10.2.2 for (Desktop, Engine, Server) OpenSSL Update Patch | Samples and Utilities

I am glad some of that was helpful! If you can, can you post your final code to show how you get it to work? Thanks!

Yeah, you can definitely put in bookmarks (different story maps have different functionalities so you might have to toy around with some before you get the right one). I am tagging Owen Evans on this since he is the story map master and might have further ideas.

Thomas, That is a much finer request. This would require some JavaScript programming and a custom web mapping application. I do not have the skill set to create something like that. It would take some time to build. Sorry this isn't more help.

Hi Valerie, This is a tough question. There does not seem to be an easy way to get this data. Most likely you would almost have to speak with each state's department of public safety and even then, they may not always release individual data like that to the public. Your best bet may be to contact the National Safety Council as they have a lot of this info: Contact NSC

Haha, no problem! Sometimes these things are not obvious and certainly not intuitive. If you have found this to answer your question, please be sure to mark this as 'correct'. Thanks!
