@JElsinghorst - Sorry, but this is not in my area of expertise. I think you are more likely to get help with this question by posting on one of the 3D boards.

@JadahFrancisco Thanks for posting your questions. Line features are certainly supported in sidecars. You can add web maps or scenes that have line features or add line features in an express map. You can also add headings to a sidecar and create links to them from other parts of the story. For more information, see the "Easier link creation and other new link capabilities" section of What's new in ArcGIS StoryMaps (October 2023) and Add another dimension to your stories with heading links.

@BrandonGuo - Thanks for the demo story. I don't see any controls and your video is autoplaying for me. My guess is that you have reduced motion enabled in your browser or OS. When that is active, all videos appear as click-to-play to respect the user's preferences.

@BrandonGuo - Sorry you are seeing an inconsistency between your chosen options and how the video is behaving. Can you please provide some more information about where this video is placed? Are you able to share a link to the story (if it is public)? One thing you could try is this: switch to another playback option, save, and then switch back to Autoplay without controls and see if that fixes it.

@AmyNewsam -- I apologize, this was my mistake. 😕 Express maps do not yet support map choreography in this way. This is something we are considering for the future, but it is not available at this time.

@AnjaReimer0 -- This capability is not currently available from the ArcGIS StoryMaps content page, but you are able to organize your StoryMaps (and other types of items) in your ArcGIS Online/Enterprise content page using folders.

@SCVOSAGIS_Program - We are not able to reproduce the issue that was previously mentioned in this thread. We are also not seeing any similar issues in our other publishing tests. I would recommend that you plase continue to work with Esri Support on this so they can help troubleshoot what might be going on in your situation.

@AmyNewsam - Make sure that you duplicate the slide with the express map and then configure the next view with that duplicated slide. If you make a new express map, the map won't smoothly transition between views. Please let us know if this helps resolve the issue you are seeing.

Hi @JenniferBorlick - You can do this in the publish options. Just uncheck Update ArcGIS item details when publishing and the item details will no longer be overwritten.

There is some documentation about this here. I don't believe there should be any issue with that. Make sure you initially sign in with the account you want to copy FROM first. Common Workflows | ArcGIS Assistant User Guide When copying a story between accounts (even accounts in the same organization), be sure to initiate the copy from the account that owns the story (or is an admin in the organization).

Oh, of course. Sorry, I forgot there was a JN video in that blog. 🙂 I think what you are referring to is simply the normal experience of navigating a live map. This is typical for all online maps as it's not possible to load in information for all areas at once, so the information is loaded on demand. If you wanted to have a smoother transition between specific places, you could create different maps focused on those different areas. That way when you transition from one slide to another you aren't changing the extent of the same map, you are actually loading a new map. I think that might get a similar experience to the one you are after.

@SaraJL - The Crowdsource Story Map template was only ever a beta/experimental template and was deprecated in 2018. It hasn't been updated in many years, so I don't believe the builder is likely to work any more.

@SaraJL - The data from a crowdsource story is stored as a feature layer. Just find the feature layer item that goes with that story, and you can easily use it to directly create a map tour in ArcGIS StoryMaps. The OAuth credentials are there because the Crowdsource Story Map had the ability to track who was contributing to the app. There's no need to delete them, but shouldn't be any harm in it either. When the classic templates are retired, the items related to them will still remain. So there's no danger in using the original feature layer to create a map tour. However, if you want to extract the information into a new feature layer you can do that using the workflow in this blog: Migrate a classic Shortlist to ArcGIS StoryMaps as... - Esri Community.

@RussGreen - Yes, sorry for the delay. We were looking into this. From the information you provided, it looks like you signed up for a trial subscription account. A trial account expires after a period of time and will have limited capabilities if it is not converted to a paid subscription. On the sign up page, you'll want to use the link at the bottom of the page if you want a free public account.
