I agree this would be useful, especially when working with volunteer (community) users. We currently contact users when a survey is being deprecated and also publish an update to the deprecated form with a note at the top explaining that the form is no longer in use etc. But issues can still occur. ... I agree this would be really useful. Even looking through a list of Members and searching by user's actual names or usernames means ones with nonstandard names (e.g. 'wigglyworm2000' or whatever) are hard to attribute to the real person beneath the username on occasion. This makes assigning users to the correct groups becomes more challenging. ... View more

Thank you for posting this. This could be extremely useful for us. Particularly in managing community user access to specific features that they have not created / do not 'own' themselves, but we need to give them access to. Currently we use various hosted views and Groups as a middle ground for achieving this, but being able to fine-tune the access at a feature level would be a significant improvement.  Does the ViewUsers approach work regardless of organisation? I.e., if the user is from outside of the layer organisation, does that cause any issues? From a practical point of view, we would be looking to manage access to 10's of features (from a pool of thousands) for each user, across several hundred different users. Therefore some way of automating the comma separated listed of users for each feature will be essential (e.g. pulling from a spreadsheet, or from Group membership). ... View more

The performance of this has certainly improved (for us at least) since I originally posted this. One thing that helped on occasion when we were having issues was to zoom the map in the right-hand pane in to a small area so that it wasn't trying to symbolise lots of features. However I still find the view layer creation process to be a bit buggy and unreliable. ... View more

I agree this would be useful. There are several 'global' settings which need to be redone to be set at the site or initiative level. Esri need to consider that their customers might be using Hub to create completely separate sites for different purposes. ... View more
