Jay Sandhu, you appear to be the network analyst expert. Could you provide any feedback?

Hoping the network analyst experts can give an opinion of best approach in terms of speed and performance. Use case is a fairly large number of origins and destination. End result is we need to know the closest facility in minutes/miles, if there is a facility within 60 minutes. If closest facility is outside of 60 minutes, that's all we need to know (do not need to know minutes/miles for these). Do not need to return any route geometry, strictly tabular. Estimate there are 350k origin points, and 10k destination points. I recognize ODCM runs faster than CF. Given the volume of origins and destination, would the fastest option be to run ODCM with a cutoff at 60 minutes, then run summary statistics on the table to find the minimum travel time value for each origin ID (since there will be tons of duplicates within the ODCM output table)? Or, would CF not take much longer than ODCM since there's no summary statistics required? What's a general ballpark of how long it would take to run either scenario given Pro installed on a machine, input data stored locally in a GDB?

Since the intent of the buffer model is to be used in Web AppBuilder for ArcGIS, which would use Web Mercator, how would you properly define the coordinate system of the model? I've set the model up several different ways, including the use of Web Mercator, but the measure tool in Web AppBuilder from input centroid to buffer ring does not return the actual input buffer value. However, when you run the model in ArcMap (with the data frame in Web Mercator), the ArcMap measure tool does measure as expected. I know it's related to coordinate systems/projections-- but is the issue actually with the measure tool in Web AppBuilder or does the model need adjusted? See image. This is a 5 mile radius buffer, however it does not read that way in Web AppBuilder:

Has there been a published "issues addressed" and/or improvments/enhancements list for Ops Dashboard 10.3.3? Generally, I'm able to find these for other Esri releases, but I'm only finding the statement from esri that 10.3.3 contains "bug fixes and improvments".

Thomas, see bug here, could this be what you're running in to? http://support.esri.com/en/bugs/nimbus/QlVHLTAwMDA5NDE1Mg== We attempted using WAB Dev GP widget, but would get a spinning wheel when validating the URL and could not go any further. It was determined by Esri support that the GP widget doesn't support IWA.

I can confirm this is well. When troubleshooting a connectivity issue between WAB Dev and AGS server, the browser was throwing No Access-Control-Allow-Origin headers in the developer tools, but esri support indicated that error is commonplace and can be ignored. I had found a thread a while back that also said this can be ignored, but can't seem to find it right now.

I believe WAB Dev Edition 1.3 provides an interface for selecting the input for GP widget-- is that what you're running? I would check but WAB Dev GP widget doesn't work if Portal/web adaptor uses IWA.

UPDATE: After multiple esri support teams working on this for a few weeks, it's officially been logged as a bug with the GP widget in WAB Dev. BUG-000094152: Unable to configure the Geoprocessing widget in Web Appbuilder for ArcGIS (Developer Edition) when ArcGIS Server has Windows Authentification enabled on the web adaptor. The print widget, query widget, etc., connects to GP services without any issue, but the GP widget routes through proxy.js and won't connect to any sort of service. It returns a 401 error.

Interesting, looks like that's new to Portal 10.4, not part of earlier version. Just as a note.

Could be a thread in and of itself, but how many of you actually value cover letters? Seems likely that the responses will depend largely on perspective. My experiences have basically pointed to 'don't waste your time'. Private consulting hasn't wanted anything to do with them in their hiring processes. Hiring manager for business/finance at a University in the area also doesn't look at them even if they're submitted with the resume. Also know several others in HR realm that don't care for them. Then again, others will say they won't review a resume without a cover letter submitted.

Additional details: Using WAB integrated with Portal, the GP widget works properly and will execute with an output. Importing the functioning app to WAB dev and launching it, the GP widget exists but it is missing the input options before clicking execute. Looks like this:

Langdon-- I'm working on something very similar right now. Are you using WAB dev 1.3 paired with Portal or AGOL? WAB dev isn't accepting any of our GP services, but if we use WAB built in to Portal it works just fine. Trying to troubleshoot...did you have any issues?

It's full Portal 10.3.1. WAB dev connects to Portal and everything else has been working fine so far. Portal is secured behind the corporate firewall, but the feature services and GP services are not "secured" beyond that. Because I can interect with Portal items from within WAB dev, and I'm sourcing a web map on Portal for the app and it's accessing the feature services just fine, I'm not sure why it would be restricting GP services. I'm hoping someone on here who uses Portal can validate if they are having the same issue or not, before going the esri support route.
