Running WAB dev 1.3, Portal 10.3.1. When using the WAB built in to Portal, the geoprocessing widget successfully connects to the GP services without hesitation. The validation screen looks like this and shows the toolbox with the task name underneath. However, in WAB Dev 1.3, the GP widget stalls when connecting to GP services. After pasting the GP service REST URL and clicking validate, the task name displays but there is not a toolbox. If you choose that task and click "Set" for the task, the GP widget endlessly shows the loading bars and won't continue to the widget configuration. Tried the "Add from Portal for ArcGIS" option and got the same result. Attempted to do the same thing in WAB 1.2. Same result. Tried in other browsers, same result. Anyone using Portal experiencing this same issue? Is it a server config thing, possibly?

Robert-- Just plugged the 1.3 version in and noticing a small issue or two. One feature service in the map has 5 layers. All 5 layers have the same visibility extent setting. When zoomed to that scale, all the layers display on the map as they should, however two of them are greyed out as if not visible. I can still toggle them off and on and the map responds appropriately. I confirmed in ArcMap that the visible scales are the same for all layers. Any idea if this is something that needs fixed on my end?

Which file in WAB would you look to change the marker symbol that is currently used for the search widget in dev v1.3? This is a somewhat different request than above. All search widget functionality would remain as-is, just need the marker symbol changed.

There is a bug on that, at least for Portal users. Nothing loads for anyone outside the security group, even unsecured services. I don't know the BUG ID off hand.

By the way, your syntax in the picture of your field calculator is not correct. That might be your true issue. You need to remove the [VerticalAlignment]=, and you do not use brackets on the word center. Just use the domains as Ted mentioned below. Right click the vertical alignment field, choose field calculator, and just enter the number 1 in the box. No quotes, brackets, etc.

If you're in an edit session and have the records selected, you can use the 'attribute window' to change all the selected records at once using the drop down domains...if you're having issues with field calculator.

If you're working with an app in Portal, you could have the 'clip, zip, ship' geoprocessing service plugged in to the geoprocessing widget.

@Ben, here's a bug that was "addressed" in v1.3: BUG-000087830: Web AppBuilder for ArcGIS Developers Edition does not allow anonymous access to an application when Portal for ArcGIS is configured with Integrated Windows Authentification (IWA). The web maps configured with the application are shared with everyone in Portal for ArcGIS.

We'll soon be launching an WAB dev 1.3 app referencing a map on portal 10.3.1...I hope this isn't a bug. Edit: We were working on one in v1.2, but since 1.3 was released, moved to that version. I can confirm though, that if the app was created using the WAB packaged with Portal 10.3.1, we didn't have any issues deploying it on a web server.

Jianxia Song, is an "issues addressed" list published with the WAB releases? This is done for other esri products, but haven't been able to find it for WAB Dev. I know there is a basic summary of "what's new in v1.3", more specifically interested in bug fixes. Thanks

Thanks for the info. So basically, the anonymous users accessing a deployed app will have their app state saved by their browsers local storage until it's cleared?

@Robert, any chance you have had the opportunity to look 'under the hood' to know what storage method this feature is using?

Are all of your basemaps still in Web Mercator projection? That is the default for Web AppBuilder, and is recommended for web mapping in general. Seems this could relate to the issue: "Web applications assume the spatial reference of the output features are in the same spatial reference as its map instance (esri.Map). Hence, the features may not be rendered as expected. To avoid such ambiguities, you should set the outSpatialReference property of the geoprocessing instance to the map's spatial reference as shown in the code below." How about creating a geoprocessing service and plugging it in to the app? After the user drops the incident points, click the geoprocessing widget, which will run the spatial join, reverse geocode, etc. to fill in the physical address? Not super efficient, but out of the box WAB edit widget is pretty limited in functionality.
