Currently Map Viewer Beta does not yet support image layers, so Tapestry won't show up in search. When Map Viewer Beta comes out of beta in a couple of weeks, it will. That is why you see it in Map Viewer Classic, and not in Beta.

The Living Atlas geocoding team informs me that Esri Canada has been working with them to accelerate the inclusion of addresses into the World Geocoder. This should address your concerns once fully implemented.

ArcGIS Living Atlas recently published the USDA Census of Agriculture layers. The Census of Agriculture, produced by the USDA National Agricultural Statistics Service (USDA), provides a complete count of America's farms, ranches and the people who grow our food. The census is conducted every five years, most recently in 2017, and provides a in-depth look at the agricultural industry. I can't help but ask - why is this something that is needed for a story? There may be a better way (chart or table graphic) to present the excel data within your story. Keep in mind a story is all about creating excitement and interest in a particular topic. An Excel table in a story just doesn't excite many viewers... Just saying... The above said, I did try to embed a spreadsheet and other documents in my Google Docs account in a StoryMap and also got similar results. It might be likely that these (like some websites) are prevented from being embeddable, but am not entirely sure. I will defer to other answers from The Community.

Back in mid-February, the Living Atlas team published the U.S. Vessel Traffic app. It lets you explore the paths of vessels in and around U.S. waters and visualize patterns and trends by time, vessel type, and place. It also provides a simple way to download area-specific data to use in other ways. For more details, see Introducing the U.S. Vessel Traffic application from Living Atlas. A solution for you would be Hub Premium - it provides a way for you to deliver private access to a community of volunteers or other such constituents without having to manage them directly as members in your organization. They can use their own social accounts to authenticate and can only see the private content you allow them to see. This is a successful pattern used by many organizations and Hub Premium is also available under the grant links that I listed. Hub Premium users come with the field worker user type, so they have access to all the field apps too.

New texture tile layers have been added to ArcGIS Living Atlas, making for some really cool creative effects. The layers are discussed in Texture Tiles - a blog article by John Nelson. While these are layers on top of your basemap, you can also move them to your basemap to composite them with other basemap layers for some really interesting effects, and add other operationals layers on top. Make a map with these and add them to your custom basemap gallery. View all texture layers in Living Atlas.

I'm not sure when using Web AppBuilder there is a limit to the swipe widget. But as an alternative you can try Media Map - it's one of the express apps that can be configured (in full setup) with a swipe tool and layer list that you can use to toggle layer visibility for swipe. I just did a quick test with 10 layers with no problems. The app is briefly covered in Apps you can use to swipe and compare.

In the full setup mode you can add a layer list which lets you toggle layer visibility. Save your map with only the layer you want visible, and if you want to show the other layers (and add them to the interactive legend) use the layer list to turn on visibility.
