To share a story properly into a group used on your Home, edit the story then open options (...) and click sharing settings: Then share the story into the group used on your home page. If a user is prompted to authenticate when you share the link, that indicates the story is not shared publicly and only shared within your organization. I'm not sure how you are getting the link (am suspecting you are grabbing it via the browser URL) but for a public story the surefire way to get a link is from share, which only appears for public stories.

Using, understanding, and analyzing climate data is an essential part of the process to build climate-resilient communities. However, not all climate data is of the highest quality. As GIS professionals you shouldn’t have to waste time sorting through lots of models to find relevant and accurate data. Click to view blog article New, highly accurate climate models now available in ArcGIS Living Atlas facilitate a wide variety of climate analyses without the need to track down and process large amounts of data. For more information, see Getting started with new multidimensional climate models by Abigail Fitzgibbon.

Living Atlas basemaps are updated frequently and continue to evolve. The latest additions are considered to be in beta and are not part of the default Esri basemap gallery, or discoverable via the basemap categories at the Living Atlas website. But if you find any of these interesting, you can use them now by creating a custom basemap gallery for your organization. See How to use beta Living Atlas basemaps to learn how.

When wildfires occur, questions about fire size, proximity to people or towns, and the potential environmental impact often come to mind. Integrating 22 data layers, the new Wildfire Aware application in Living Atlas helps improve awareness and understanding of wildfires and their impact on surrounding areas. Click to open Wildfire Aware There are 22 data layers in Wildfire Aware from authoritative sources in ArcGIS Living Atlas of the World. The combined presence of these layers enables viewers to learn about a fire and characteristics of the surrounding area. The links to these layers can be found in the about window accessed at the top-right of the application. For details and more information, see Be Wildfire Aware with this new application.

Economists at the Bureau of Labor Statistics measure the rate of price increases, also known as inflation, and they publish these rates in the Consumer Price Index (CPI). Some of the most popular attributes in Living Atlas, such as median home value and median household income, are affected by inflation. As GIS analysts, we can use the CPI to adjust for inflation when comparing these measures over time. For more information, see Inflation is coming. What's a GIS Analyst to do?

There isn't a way to do this currently, and this is consistent with the way Map Notes were handled in Map Viewer Classic. That said, in Classic, you could export the notes layer, add it to you map, and view it in your legend. Sketch layers in Map Viewer will also be evolving and will include export capabilities in the future. If you have any ideas about what you like to see, submit them to the Ideas section.

It took a while (apologies), but I finally got the source for that map from our UC Events staff. That map was created by Charlie Frye on the Living Atlas team. The map is described below: Title: The Stunning Diversity of South America's Topography Description: The World Named Landforms layer is most detailed description of the Earth's geomorphological divisions, provinces, and landforms. Names and codes describe topography, process, and structure for the Earth's land surface. The Named Landforms of the World layer is in Living Atlas and can be found here: https://www.arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=f975b762b9ca447cb4b7dd1438133d09

I have stories dating back 10 years or so in both personal (public) and organizational accounts and I have never had a link to a story cease to work. Your link points to a story you have created with ArcGIS StoryMaps and also a story collection. You've not mentioned what type of account you were using when you made your story, but one thing that I can think of is that if you made this using a student account at a university, it's possible that your contents may have been cleared.

There is a Search tool available in new Map Viewer, though it is not automatically displayed as it was with Map Viewer Classic. To find Search, go to the Settings (light) toolbar (on the right) and click Map Tools at the bottom of the Settings toolbar. Map Tools enables you to open the Search as well as other tools, such as Direction, Measurement, and Location. If you want to always display a search tool for viewers of your map, then a good solution is to use one of the Instant Apps (like Basic Viewer) and configure it to always display an open search tool.
