These are all good comments and suggestions, and this is not something new. Over the years (and in past products I've been involved with) we've looked into the potential for integrating Google Maps, including StreetView, more deeply into our products. The limiting factor is the Google Terms of Use (TOUs). Google limits the use of their imagery, StreetView, and other capabilities to within the Google ecosystem - specifically within the context of a Google map. Read the Google licensing for details, but the bottom line is that this is not achievable given the current use limitations. The situation is different for Bing imagery, which is licensable for use within ArcGIS Online and other Esri products. As for StreetView, several Esri business partners (Cyclomedia is one) offer similar capabilities and more, though with additional cost. Because of these limitations, I'm marking this idea as Closed. Not because I, and many others, wouldn't find this favorable, but because it's just not possible at this time.

It's not supported across all styles. The ones that do support it are the predominant category and predominant category and size, and charts and charts and size. And with those, the chart element colors are automatically set to match the style - you can't change them. Chart color customization is on the to-do list, but TBD when that might happen.

Basemaps are the foundation for your layers and while there are plenty to choose from in the default basemap gallery and others to choose from Living Atlas, you can also create your own. Two blogs from Andy Skinner, cartographic designer on the Living Atlas team, explain how. Build your own sandwich shows how you can use the Vector Tile Style Editor (VTSE) to start with an existing vector tile basemap and customize it. Map Bases: Mixing it up also covers VTSE, but adds blending and another option to achieve your desired result. Once you've created your custom basemap, here's how to add them to a custom basemap gallery for your organization.

I forgot to add that those chart colors in web maps made with Map Viewer will absolutely display in ArcGIS StoryMaps. Here's the above map in a test story.

I updated this blog article not long ago to include charts with colors. You can't independently change chart colors in pop-ups but depending on how you have styled your layer, the chart element will match the style color. https://www.esri.com/arcgis-blog/products/arcgis-online/mapping/configure-pop-ups-charts/ It seems I've forgotten to add a link to the sample map in the blog article and I will go back and do that. To share a story properly into a group used on your Home, edit the story then open options (...) and click sharing settings: Then share the story into the group used on your home page. If a user is prompted to authenticate when you share the link, that indicates the story is not shared publicly and only shared within your organization. I'm not sure how you are getting the link (am suspecting you are grabbing it via the browser URL) but for a public story the surefire way to get a link is from share, which only appears for public stories.

Esri continues to enhance World Imagery in Living Atlas with millions of square kilometers of imagery updates. This year, we are happy to announce that we are expanding our subscription with Maxar, upgrading more than 50M km² of existing coverage from 1.2-m to 60-cm resolution, with about half available now and the remainder by Q1 2023. Throughout Q3 2022, the Living Atlas team has also published many Community Maps contributions, along with more than 450 metropolitan area updates from Maxar. While you can store many types of documents in ArcGIS Online, a MPKX file is an ArcGIS Pro map package that contains the map document and associated data. It cannot be opened directly in ArcGIS Online.

Living Atlas basemaps are updated frequently and continue to evolve. The latest additions are considered to be in beta and are not part of the default Esri basemap gallery, or discoverable via the basemap categories at the Living Atlas website. When wildfires occur, questions about fire size, proximity to people or towns, and the potential environmental impact often come to mind. Integrating 22 data layers, the new Wildfire Aware application in Living Atlas helps improve awareness and understanding of wildfires and their impact on surrounding areas. The combined presence of these layers enables viewers to learn about a fire and characteristics of the surrounding area. Economists at the Bureau of Labor Statistics measure the rate of price increases, also known as inflation, and they publish these rates in the Consumer Price Index (CPI). Some of the most popular attributes in Living Atlas, such as median home value and median household income, are affected by inflation. As GIS analysts, we can use the CPI to adjust for inflation when comparing these measures over time. For more information, see Inflation is coming. What's a GIS Analyst to do?

There isn't a way to do this currently, and this is consistent with the way Map Notes were handled in Map Viewer Classic. That said, in Classic, you could export the notes layer, add it to you map, and view it in your legend. Sketch layers in Map Viewer will also be evolving and will include export capabilities in the future. If you have any ideas about what you like to see, submit them to the Ideas section.

We are pleased to announce the availability of Named Landforms of the World (NLW), version 2 in the Living Atlas. Included are four global sublayers representing landforms, provinces, divisions, and their respective cartographic boundaries.
