Hello, What service pack do you have installed for Data Reviewer? There was a fix in Data Reviewer's 10.0 SP1 that addressed an issue with the Polygon Grid Wizard, which might be related to what you are experiencing. Since you have core's SP4 installed, you would need DR's SP4. Note that the latest Data Reviewer service pack and patch is SP5 Patch 2, which requires Core's SP5.

Feature records have a geometry associated with it and therefore you can zoom/pan to it. Row Records do not have a geometry. For the "unable to save error geometry for recordID XX" message, is there more text that follows it? There is a section in the help doc that has a list of error and warning messages. You can check that out here.

Hello. "unable to build error geometry for feature XX" and "unable to save error geometry for recordID XX" are warning messages. You should still see records written to the Reviewer table, but instead of capturing the error geometry (the geometry of where the actual overlap) it probably captured the full feature geometry. The overlap geometry could be so that it tries to create a geometry that is invalid. Are there error records in the Reviewer table for feature "XX"?

You can do this in ArcGIS Data Reviewer! There is a sampling check that will randomly select features. You can provide a specific number or a percentage. There two other options too.

An interesting thought. But Data Reviewer does not do what you are describing. May I suggest creating a new session and re-running the batch job to re-validate you data. Any errors that did not get fixed and any new errors that may have been introduced will be written to that new session. And if you want to delete old sessions that are no longer needed, you can use the ReviewerConsole.exe to delete sessions. Also at 10.2, there is a new GP tool to delete sessions.

Hi. The issues you are describing are not hardware issues. Data Reviewer follows the same recommended hardware specs as core ArcGIS. Of course, the faster the processor and the larger the RAM, the faster the checks will run. Regarding #1 - This is related to the spatial reference of the data being validated and the spatial reference of the Reviewer workspace. In order for the error geometries to be stored in the Reviewer workspace, the spatial references must match. Do all of the seven point feature classes you are validating have the same spatial reference? If so, then when you create the Reviewer workspace, add all seven feature classes to ArcMap first. Then go to Session Manager to create a new Reviewer workspace. When you browse to the Reviewer workspace, you can create a new File geodatabase in that same dialog. Select that new File gdb and click Add. Click on New to create a new Session. In the Reviewer Workspace Properties dialog, make sure the "Use Active Data Frame Spatial Reference" option is selected. Then click OK. This should ensure that the Reviewer workspace spatial reference matches the spatial reference of the data that you are validating. Regarding #2 - I do not have enough context as to how the message occured to determine what may be the cause. Could you provide the steps to produce this message? Hello. Question - do you really need to check for NULLs for all fields that have domains in the seven point feature classes? I know sometimes not all fields are being used in the geodatabase, but may be they're for future use. If you check on the "Search for Nulls Values" option, the Domain check could potentially be returning hundred of thousand errors. And since you are using a personal geodatabase as the Reviewer workspace, you could be hitting the max size threshold for Microsoft Access databases, which is what a personal geodatabase is. The max size is 2GB. Try unchecking the "Search for Null Values" option in your Domain checks and re-run the batch job. Or use a file geodatabase as the Reviewer workspace and re-run the batch job. Data Reviewer can validate your features based on the connectivity rules defined in your geometric network. However, we do not define the rules. I suggest posting this quesion in Electric & Gas Utilities forum under User Communities.

If your geodatabase objects are standard ArcFM objects and you are using ArcGIS desktop, Data Reviewer should work. If you are in the United States, you can request for an evaluation of ArcGIS Data Reviewer from the product website. If you are an international user, please contact your Esri distributor.

You should be able to pass the same feature class for Feature Class 1 and Feature Class 2 in the Duplicate Geometry and/or Geometry on Geometry Checks to find duplicate within the same feature layer.

I also wanted to add that for Duplicate Geometry check, this will look for features that are within the database XY tolerance. If the redundant point features may be slightly offset from each other, you can use the Geometry on Geometry check and apply a tolerance. Both Geometry on Geometry and Duplicate Geometry allows you to select which fields you want to compare to determine if it's has the same field values. You can also exclude metadata fields, like last edited date or last edited by, when comparing the fields.

The formula didn't copy over correctly since the 2 in P2 isn't superscript. It's supposed to be P squared (P x P) rather than (P * 2). T = 4pi(A/(P*P)) Hope that helps.

Have you considered using Workflow Manager? At the release of version 10, Data Reviewer provides several custom steps that can help with a QC workflow. The custom steps are: Create Reviewer Session Run Reviewer Batch Job Start Reviewer Session Since there is not a published API, there is no programmatic way that is supported to start an edit session on the Reviewer Table. Don't know if this would help, you can delete sessions using the ReviewerConsole.exe.

The ReviewerConsole.exe will run on Full Database (this is the default) or Changed Features Only (on a versioned gdb) using /changedonly. With the new Create Reviewer Session and Execute Reviewer Batch Job GP tools at 10.1, you can create a python script and then schedule it to execute using Window's Task Scheduler. The Execute Reviewer Batch Job GP tool allows you to pass thru an Analysis Area to restrict the validation on a given extent.
