Hi
I have a file geodatabase which have around 23 datasets. under each data set there are a huge number of feature classes. I need to count features inside those feature classes.
is there any automated way to do this? get count tool is a headache in my case.
Regards
If you have the ArcGIS Data Reviewer extension, there is a tool that will provide feature counts for all layers in your map document and you can export that to a CSV file. The Total Feature Count tool.
Thanks for the input, but this will work inside ArcMap which need to add the data to the TOC. the result is also doesn't follow the sequence.
Regards
This may be oversimplifying things, but in Layout Mode you can turn on Feature Count and get the count quickly. It will count any feature you put in the legend. I use it from time to time for customer counts against billing spreadsheets.
this is good if you have a limited number of FCs and subtypes.
Yes, indeed, but when the boss comes asking it is quick.
