I am trying to synchronize some parcels to a hosted feature layer in my ArcGIS Online account but bc some of the parcel polygons have cul de sacs and are curve, I am getting the error, 'the local edits were not synchronized to the server. Cannot convert polylines or polygons with curves to JSON format.' Is there anyway to work around this error? Thanks

Is this tool supposed to be a model or is it supposed to be a geoprocessing script in ArcToolbox? Also in the tool setup for the Recreate Geometry, is the parameter for the output feature class supposed to be set to Feature Class or something else?

One of my co workers needs to see some GIS layers in ArcReader but I am getting red exclamation points next to the layers when I open the map document on his computer. I know this means a broken path but I can't remember how to fix it. Can anyone help me with this so I can get ArcReader working on his computer? Thanks

I have a mosaic dataset which I made from 2 raster datasets I had created. Both of the raster datasets have their statistics calculated but if you go to the properties of the mosaic datset, it shows the statistics have not been calculated. So my question is would it make a difference in my imagery if I Calculated Statistics in the Mosaic Dataset even though they are already calculated for the rasters which make the Mosaic Dataset? Just trying to understand a little better how to work with Mosaic Datasets. Scott

I want to generate a grid scaled to one square mile per grid cell. Can I do this using the Grid Index Feature? What are the parameters to enter for width and height? Scott

Thank you for that response Jim! Maybe because it's a new year but after reading your reply, I came to the realization all I had to do to find my answer was look at the properties of the data layer and look for the Vertical Units.

I have a DEM and would like to see the Pixel Value displayed in feet Right now when I use the Identify tool to query the attributes of the DEM, Pixel Value = a big number like 128 or something How to I get this to display in feet? Thanks

Thanks for the Reply Juan What your saying makes sense but I don't think that is the answer I am looking for. I think it is just a setting. I had this working last week but now that it is Monday, I can't remember what setting I changed

I have created a Hillshade effect and would like to use the Contours tool on the 3D Analyst toolbar to show me the Contour Elevation in feet. Right now it is giving me something like. 118.258 instead of 7.8 feet How can I change this? Thanks

That program is buggy as hell. I started my whole model again from the beginning and it stopped when it got to this part with the same error but yet it worked when I tried it while we were discussing in this thread.

Thanks guys! I got it to execute but it erased more chars than I wanted. Now I just have to re run the models and change the parameters around when I get to this point.

how do I use that expression on a Field in ArcGIS Pro so it returns values starting at the 5th character?

I am trying to use the Python Mid() function to return strings starting at the 5th character. I have tried !STR_NAME!.Mid(5:20) but that gives me a traceback error Can someone point me in the right direction? Thanks
