I want to format my map to display the streets layer with different symbology depending on what scale I am using. For instance, if I am at a neighborhood level scale, I want my streets to appear as a certain formatted symbology but at a full extent scale, I want my streets to display as a simple line. How can you set this in ArcMap? Also it must be similar in ArcGIS Pro? Thanks

I may already know the answer to this question but I thought I would ask the board just to confirm or reaffirm what I think. I have a GNSS receiver which I want to use to collect elevation readings out in the field. Everything is set up and working correctly but if you have worked in Collector and used a GNSS receiver to collect data then you may have notice in the top right corner above your web map there is text that tells you when your GPS receiver is connected and what accuracy you are getting. My question is does this GPS accuracy reading tell you how far off you are standing from your actual position or how far off your elevation reading is from the actual elevation?

Thanks for the reply Joe! A summary table may be the way to go. Never thought about trying that. Everybody is familiar with Excel that's why I had exported it to Excel Thanks! Scott

I have a Hydrology feature which represents all the Hydrology in my community and was tasked with calculating the miles of all the ditches. However, the lines which represent the ditches are broken into segments. This was easy enough to do by exporting the attribute table out to a dbf file and then opening the .dbf file in Access to create the queries I needed and then export them out to Excel to perform the calculation. I just hid all the line segments so they wouldn't have so many rows in my table Now that I have an Excel spreadsheet which contains the information I want, I would like to store it as a table in a file geodatabase. But when I load them into a file geodatabase, all the segments are not hidden anymore. I thought I would just be able to select the rows again in ArcMap and then use Merge under the Editor toolbar to merge all the segments together but Merge is not activated when I do this. Is there another way to accomplish what I am trying to do?

Thanks for the reply Joe! What is mentioned in that article is exactly what I did but somehow the .shp portion of the shapefile export changed the Open With to ArcGIS Pro and I want it back to what it originally was. See my insert

I exported a feature out to a shapefile and I was trying to open a .dbf file in Excel to calculate a value and somehow when I right clicked on the .dbf in Windows Explorer and went to 'Open With' it changed the application used to open a .dbf file to Adobe Acrobat. Can anybody tell me where I can go to change the Open with option to 'dbase' Thanks

I have a custom tool which I built in modelbuilder and the tool works but the order of the parameters isn't the order I would like them to be in the geoprocessing window and I think this is done by setting preconditions for each parameter. However, I can't seem to find how to access the window where you can set the precondition. Can someone tell me how to get to the window where you can set the preconditions of a parameter? I want Input Features to appear above Input Coordinate System

I created a multiring buffer and would like to label each ring with the distance field for the ring but when I enable Label features, it places all the labels in one buffer. What am I doing wrong?

I seem to have solved my own issue cause I opened Pro this morning and my connection is still there. Yesterday when I was attempting to do this, I was right clicking on Project in the Catalog Window, then I would click on New ArcGIS Server Connection, enter the URL to my server and it would connect but when I closed Pro and then reopen it again the connection wasn't there and I had to go through the process again to reconnect.
