I had this same issue crop up today, except it was with a map service I had in my web map.  Had the pop-ups disabled in the Map Viewer, which worked there, but kept showing up in Field Maps.  What worked for me was opening the web map in Map Viewer Classic, removing and then re-adding the map service, and then turning off the pop-ups and saving the map.  Then the layer pop-up was not showing up in Field Maps as expected. ... So after a month of plugging away at this code . . . we've discovered that some of our other scripts that were previously working when we wrote them were now throwing some of the same errors as I was getting with this code.  (This seemed to happen after we upgraded to ArcGIS Pro 3.0)  After some trial and error with the previously working scripts we found that if we just connected with our Enterprise/Portal without specifying a username or password then the script would run as it did before.  I then tried the same thing with this script and it looked like it was going to work, but then after about 7 minutes I get the following errors: It looks like it's connecting to the Workforce project, but can't write the new assignment and times out after some period of time.  Another troubleshooting step we tried was to create a Workforce project in ArcGIS Online and edit the code in the script to connect to ArcGIS Online, then connect to that project,  and then add an assignment to that new project.  It worked as expected. As I said before, our Enterprise/Portal is at version 10.9.1 and we use Integrated Windows Authority (IWA) to have users log into that.  We have had issues with other Esri applications because we use IWA and I was wondering if that could be our issue here as well? Just ran into this problem today in ArcGIS Pro where I had a text box and was trying to use the bold and underline formatting for the top line and it wasn't working (it would just print out the <BOL><UND></UND></BOL> as text).  Turns out that I did have ampersands (&) in subsequent text in the block and this was causing the issue.  Wanted to mention this in case anyone else comes across this issue. It's weird because I was using a project that I used last year, in Pro version 2.9, and I used ampersands there and didn't seem to have this issue.  I've upgraded to Pro version 3.0 since then so I guess it must matter now for some reason.   ... Hi Zach, I am a co-worker with Jay and am seeing the same issue with 3.15.  I tried logging in to our Enterprise portal and got the following error message when trying to add our Enterprise connection: I tried both with and without using an external browser for sign in and got the same error. And this is the error we get when trying to log in through ArcGIS Online: We don't even get to the screen where it askes for our AGOL credentials. Hi David, Not sure if this helps, but I had a situation this week where our Trimble R2 was connected to an iPhone through wifi as well as bluetooth and was causing all sorts of problems. (I didn't even know we could DO that!)  Once I went into the wifi settings on the iPhone and forgot the connection to the R2 then everything was working fine.  Anyway, just something you might want to check. ... Hi Maria, We did find that with the newest version of Survey123 Connect (3.13.251) that we are able to publish surveys to our Enterprise Portal again.  We just recently upgraded to Enterprise 10.9.1 so I don't know if that is required also to solve the 401 unauthorized error. ... View more

Hi Maria, We started seeing this issue over a month ago when publishing a survey that referenced a hosted feature service from our Enterprise Portal, version 10.8.1.  In working with Esri Technical Support we did find that if I reverted to a previous version of Survey123Connect that I could publish without the 401 Unauthorized error.  Unfortunately I had a really old version of Connect (3.11.123) and it doesn't really help me with another issue we are having with Survey123 and Enterprise Portal with IWA.  We were told by the Esri tech that if we upgraded to Enterprise 10.9.1 that it resolved the 401 Unauthorized error, but we just upgraded to 10.9.1 yesterday and I'm still getting the error.  Anyway, if you can find an install file for an older version of Survey123Connect you can uninstall the new version and then install the old version. ...
