@StuartMoore I couldn't export some data from the Survey123 website a couple of days ago. I saw a post from 2019 that suggested to try and download the data directly from the ArcGIS online feature service where the survey data is hosted and that worked for me.

Thanks for this tip! We were using a URL callout to open a survey from Field Maps and it was opening the survey just fine in the app. But it wasn't carrying over any of the field parameters from the related feature class we had put in the URL and we couldn't figure out why . . . (Actually it did work in the Windows 10 version of the app, but not the iOS or Android version of the app which added to our confusion.) Turns out the first field parameter we were trying to pass over had a "#" in it and it was ignoring the rest of the field parameters after that in the URL. Altered the first field parameter to another attribute and it all works as expected. Thanks again!!

Hi @ZacharySutherby , thank you for the reply. We do have our Enterprise deployment configured with IWA so this is most likely the cause of our error. I know we have had other issues with the Enterprise version of Survey123 and IWA previously so I guess that makes sense. Hopefully this bug is fixed and I can move forward with this survey's deployment sometime soon.

I created a survey about a year and a half ago in Survey123 Connect that is hosted in our ArcGIS Online environment and is accessed via a webform and its been working great. I am attempting to move this survey to our newly implemented ArcGIS Enterprise with Portal environment. I published the recreated survey and it works fine in the Survey123 app, but when I open it as a webform I get the following error: I'm using the pulldata() function to calculate the geopoint question to place the point at specific addresses within our city, which has lat & long coordinates in a .csv file that I've placed in the media folder of this survey. I'm following the recommended workflow of pulling the lat & long coordinates and doing the locationcalculation in separate rows and then just reading that result into the geopoint question. I've also checked that there are no blank rows as well as having simple column names without special characters in my .csv file. Like I said, it worked fine in the app, and the geopoint question was working correctly putting the points at the correct address locations. I'm at a loss at what else could be causing this error, seeing as this same survey and .csv file that is hosted in ArcGIS Online works via a webform. Is there something different in the ArcGIS Enterprise environment that I need to take into account for this to work? I've attached my .xlsx form and .csv file for review as well, just in case there is something in there that I've missed

I think it would be very useful to automatically field calculate an attribute of a hosted feature service when a new feature is created. Something like Attribute Rules in ArcGIS Pro for services in an Enterprise Geodatabase, but for hosted feature services in Portal. For example, we have created a Workforce project hosted in Portal and those services live there. There are additional attributes we have added to this service that we would like to use in an Operations Dashboard and it would be great to be able to have them dynamically update when a new feature is created.

I have a group layer that I've published to our ArcGIS Server, with one of the layers referencing a point feature class from our SDE database so it will be updated with all the additions and edits that are performed. In a web map I have this layer unchecked by default, since it has a lot of points and can make the map quite noisy. This is how it looks like in the Classic Map Viewer content menu: When I open the same web map in the New Map Viewer I cannot figure out how to expand the group layer and access the sub-layers to turn the point layer on/off: When I click on the group layer it just displays the properties of the layers that are checked by default, and I've looked at all the other options that are available and can't see how to access the sub-layers. I've tried other group layers that I've published to our Sever in the New Map Viewer and I'm seeing the same issue in accessing sub-layers. I don't have a lot of experience with the new map viewer, but me and my co-workers couldn't see a way to access the sub-layers. Am I missing something or are group layers coming from Server not supported in the New Map Viewer?

We started seeing this same error too in a survey that we have embedded in a dashboard to edit records from a list in the same dashboard. It was only on one record, so I downloaded that record as an excel file and could not see any special characters. I tried to replicate the error when creating a new record by hitting tab or return to try and introduce a special character in the data before submitting, but I couldn't replicate the error. Has anyone found what could be causing this error? I'm not too worried about it since this is the first time we've seen it in almost a year of using this dashboard and we can still interact with the data outside of the dashboard, but I'd like to know how to prevent it if we can.

We are about to create a Workforce project that will have a large number of assignment types, let's say over 100. We cannot currently filter by assignment type in the Dispatcher web map easily. We would have to type in the assignment type manually to filter through all the assignments we will have. Is there an easy way that we could filter by the assignment type in Web AppBuilder if I bring in the Dispatcher map into a web app, say like in a drop down list or set up a clickable list somehow?

Thanks Craig, I was afraid that was the case in Workforce. Hopefully other users with large numbers of assignments can share what they are doing to accomplish this. I did find this Idea on filtering by assignment type here on GeoNet and upvoted it to help get it on a release schedule soon!

We are in the process of creating a project with a large number of assignment types, say around 100 types. Is there an easier way of filtering the assignments by type in the Dispatcher map after they are created other than just typing the assignment type in the search bar? And if we can't do it on the Dispatcher map itself, is there some other product (like Web AppBuilder or Experience Builder) that we can bring in the Dispatcher map and filter it that way? What has worked for others that have a lot of assignment types to sort through?

Hi Gabriel, I'm not sure if this is the best way, but the way I update features from a table is using the Attribute Assistant in ArcMap. We have fire hydrant inspections that go into a related table off of the hydrant feature class, and I usually use Attribute Assistant before I reconcile & post the edits to the parent version of our database. This updates certain attributes that I have chosen on the hydrants with information collected during the inspection. There is a bit of a learning curve to Attribute Assistant and it is a more manual process than running a script, but once you get the hang of it and get everything set up right then it doesn't take long to update the attributes of the feature class. Good luck! Brian

Nope, none whatsoever. I didn't have a whole lot of time to devote to this and frankly was at the end of my rope when I posted this. My CAD guy says he can work with what I give him and make it look the way he wants so we have left it here for now.

Thanks Michael for your help. Since I'm not too good with Access, I exported the tables I needed as an Excel files from Access and then used the ArcGIS Pro GP tool Excel to Table to put them in a .gdb. Then I was able to use the Create CCTV Pipeline Features tool and it generated the content as expected with no issues. I have also worked with some past CCTV inspection data we received from our contractor. They also had the ConitionID and InspectionID fields as an autonumber as well, so maybe this is a common practice? In that case, perhaps the online help for those running 32-bit Microsoft Office should be revised with another solution that does not involve the Table to Table or Table to Geodatabase GP tools because they will not generate output useable by the Create CCTV Pipeline Features GP tool.

Every so often I get asked by our CAD guy to export parcel owner labels in certain areas of the city in which we will be doing work, as he will be drawing up plans for that project. I use a VBScript label expression on the parcel layer to get the relevant information he needs and in the format that he likes, and when I convert the labels to annotation it appears as he & I want it to look - the text block to be centered and then the center of the text block inserted at the center of each parcel: IN ARCMAP: IN ARCGIS PRO: But when I use the Export to CAD GP tool it seems to ignore all the work I've done, more so in ArcGIS Pro, in getting the labels to appear as we want them: IN ARCMAP: IN ARCGIS PRO: I've played around with as many settings as I can in converting the labels to annotation and exporting to CAD and don't seem to be getting anywhere. My CAD guy says he can work with it in Civil 3D to get it the way he wants, but it seems like something I should be able to do on my end. Any ideas on how to get these labels to show up in CAD like they do in both ArcMap & ArcGIS Pro?
