Just ran into this problem today in ArcGIS Pro where I had a text box and was trying to use the bold and underline formatting for the top line and it wasn't working (it would just print out the <BOL><UND></UND></BOL> as text). Turns out that I did have ampersands (&) in subsequent text in the block and this was causing the issue. Wanted to mention this in case anyone else comes across this issue. It's weird because I was using a project that I used last year, in Pro version 2.9, and I used ampersands there and didn't seem to have this issue. I've upgraded to Pro version 3.0 since then so I guess it must matter now for some reason.

I am new to Python script writing, but I am trying to learn! I wish to write a script that will create a Workforce assignment depending on the results from a fire hydrant inspection. Both the inspection feature service and the Workforce service are hosted on our Enterprise Portal, version 10.9.1. I tried to follow the section on this page Managing Workforce projects | ArcGIS API for Python that talks about creating a new assignment but I keep coming up with errors that I can't figure out how to fix. I only really need three attributes to pass over to the assignments creation (geometry, assignment_type, and description) and looking at the page arcgis.apps.workforce.managers module | ArcGIS API for Python section for adding assignments it looked to me that all the attributes are optional, but I kept getting errors that there needs to be a location and the status can't be none so I added them as well. Here's the code I've been trying: And here's the output I'm getting: I've done all the googling I can for now so I'm hoping to get some help here in either how to fix this code, or find a better way to script creating a new assignment. Any help would be appreciated! Brian

Hi Zach, Currently I only see AppStudio Player 5.3 available to download and we are getting similar errors when trying to log into that: For AGOL: For our Enterprise URL it will not even recognize it as a valid URL, even though I quadruple checked that it is correct: Thank you, Brian EDIT: I saw that AppStudio 5.4 was available this morning so I installed it and tried it, got the same errors as above.

Hi Zach, I am a co-worker with Jay and am seeing the same issue with 3.15. I tried logging in to our Enterprise portal and got the following error message when trying to add our Enterprise connection: I tried both with and without using an external browser for sign in and got the same error. And this is the error we get when trying to log in through ArcGIS Online: We don't even get to the screen where it askes for our AGOL credentials. I captured a log while trying to sign in to both AGOL and our Enterprise and have attached it to this message. Hope that helps! Thanks, Brian

Hi David, Not sure if this helps, but I had a situation this week where our Trimble R2 was connected to an iPhone through wifi as well as bluetooth and was causing all sorts of problems. (I didn't even know we could DO that!) Once I went into the wifi settings on the iPhone and forgot the connection to the R2 then everything was working fine. Anyway, just something you might want to check.

Hi Maria, We did find that with the newest version of Survey123 Connect (3.13.251) that we are able to publish surveys to our Enterprise Portal again. We just recently upgraded to Enterprise 10.9.1 so I don't know if that is required also to solve the 401 unauthorized error.

Hi Maria, We started seeing this issue over a month ago when publishing a survey that referenced a hosted feature service from our Enterprise Portal, version 10.8.1. In working with Esri Technical Support we did find that if I reverted to a previous version of Survey123Connect that I could publish without the 401 Unauthorized error. Unfortunately I had a really old version of Connect (3.11.123) and it doesn't really help me with another issue we are having with Survey123 and Enterprise Portal with IWA. We were told by the Esri tech that if we upgraded to Enterprise 10.9.1 that it resolved the 401 Unauthorized error, but we just upgraded to 10.9.1 yesterday and I'm still getting the error. Anyway, if you can find an install file for an older version of Survey123Connect you can uninstall the new version and then install the old version.

Hi Rachel, We never found a solution to this problem. Once we started encountering this issue we then started saving our survey data to a hosted feature service on ArcGIS Online and would append our related table on SDE on a regular basis.

We have a survey that we use quite often for the last 2 years that is embedded in a dashboard and today we got this error message: So I go to the Survey123 website and when I try and access the survey's settings I get the waiting to load screen: And I get this when trying to access all the surveys that I have published. I checked the AGO Health Dashboard and all is green. Is anyone else seeing this issue??

@StuartMoore I couldn't export some data from the Survey123 website a couple of days ago. I saw a post from 2019 that suggested to try and download the data directly from the ArcGIS online feature service where the survey data is hosted and that worked for me.

Thanks for this tip! We were using a URL callout to open a survey from Field Maps and it was opening the survey just fine in the app. But it wasn't carrying over any of the field parameters from the related feature class we had put in the URL and we couldn't figure out why . . . (Actually it did work in the Windows 10 version of the app, but not the iOS or Android version of the app which added to our confusion.) Turns out the first field parameter we were trying to pass over had a "#" in it and it was ignoring the rest of the field parameters after that in the URL. Altered the first field parameter to another attribute and it all works as expected. Thanks again!!

Hi @ZacharySutherby , thank you for the reply. We do have our Enterprise deployment configured with IWA so this is most likely the cause of our error. I know we have had other issues with the Enterprise version of Survey123 and IWA previously so I guess that makes sense. Hopefully this bug is fixed and I can move forward with this survey's deployment sometime soon.

I created a survey about a year and a half ago in Survey123 Connect that is hosted in our ArcGIS Online environment and is accessed via a webform and its been working great. I am attempting to move this survey to our newly implemented ArcGIS Enterprise with Portal environment. I published the recreated survey and it works fine in the Survey123 app, but when I open it as a webform I get the following error: I'm using the pulldata() function to calculate the geopoint question to place the point at specific addresses within our city, which has lat & long coordinates in a .csv file that I've placed in the media folder of this survey. I'm following the recommended workflow of pulling the lat & long coordinates and doing the locationcalculation in separate rows and then just reading that result into the geopoint question. I've also checked that there are no blank rows as well as having simple column names without special characters in my .csv file. Like I said, it worked fine in the app, and the geopoint question was working correctly putting the points at the correct address locations. I'm at a loss at what else could be causing this error, seeing as this same survey and .csv file that is hosted in ArcGIS Online works via a webform. Is there something different in the ArcGIS Enterprise environment that I need to take into account for this to work? I've attached my .xlsx form and .csv file for review as well, just in case there is something in there that I've missed
