Import symbology to subtype group layers

Hello,

As far as I know, when working with Subtype Group Layers, you can only export lyrx file of an entire SGL (at the group level), but only import on a specific subtype layer...

And when importing a lyrx file exported from an SGL at the layer level, it fails with ERROR 000967: The input layer type must be a feature layer, raster layer, or tin layer

is there a way to copy symbology from an entire Subtype Group Layer to another SGL ?

Or to export one specific subtype layer's symbology and import it to another specific subtype layer ?

Thanks

Just ran into this issue over two years later . . . has anyone figured out how to do this?

It doesn't make sense that we can save the symbology for the entire feature class but have no way to import the saved symbology.  And conversely, not be able to save the symbology on the individual subtypes yet are able to import symbology.
