Hi @MatShop. It would be great to be able to configure email alerts based on the log level - I guess this is a current limitation of the system. You could try suggesting this via ArcGIS Ideas. If you haven't already, as a workaround you could try to set up rules in your mail client to filter out all but the CRITICAL level alerts. Also, if you have access to it (or something similar), you could use OpsGenie. I have ArcGIS Monitor alert emails sent to OpsGenie, and I've it configured to only act on CRITICAL alerts. Upon receiving an email from ArcGIS Monitor re. a CRITICAL alert, it notifies my team via push notification on the OpsGenie iOS app, and a message to a notification channel set up in MS Teams. Hope these suggestions help.

Hi all. I also ran into this issue recently, and we couldn't put our finger on why it was failing. We ended up going down the same route as Michael Torbett and noticed that the scheduled task in Pro was using the pythonw.exe, not python.exe. We reverted our original task scheduler task to run pythonw.exe and since then it's been working without any problems. Hope this helps.

Hi, I've found a bug in the System Log Parser for IIS Add-on in ArcGIS Monitor. When http://services.ga.gov.au/gis/services/Oil_Gas_Infrastructure/MapServer/WFSServer is added as an item in Portal and used in a web map, the HTTP requests made to the WFS are longer than 255 characters, e.g.: https://services.ga.gov.au/gis/services/Oil_Gas_Infrastructure/MapServer/WFSServer?&service=WFS&request=DescribeFeatureType&version=2.0.0&typeName=Oil_Gas_Infrastructure:National_Onshore_Gas_Pipelines&namespace=xmlns(Oil_Gas_Infrastructure=http%3A%2F%2Fservices.ga.gov.au%2Fgis%2Fservices%2FOil_Gas_Infrastructure%2FMapServer%2FWFSServer) Once this URL is written to the IIS logs being monitored by the System Log Parser add-on, all "Excel" reports generated by ArcGIS Monitor for the time period for which that URL exists in the logs, will fail: This is because the URL is too large to fit in an Excel cell. The workaround is disable the add-on in ArcGIS Monitor Administrator while creating the report, then re-enabling the add-on afterwards (this does mean you miss having any of the add-on specific metrics in the report). If the add-on is revised in the future, can URLs over 255 characters long in the IIS logs be truncated so they can be## written to the Excel report? Thanks, Dave

Hi, I'd like to backup ArcGIS Monitor and I've found the instructions on how to do this - Back up and restore ArcGIS Monitor settings—ArcGIS Monitor Administrator | Documentation for ArcGIS Enterprise. However, I don't care about backing up the data in MongoDB, I'm only interested in backing up what's needed to restore ArcGIS Monitor to the point where all my counters are present and it's ready to start monitoring again. I'm assuming I therefore only need to carry out the following steps from the instructions: Section: Back up ArcGIS Monitor Administrator; Steps: 1-3 Section: Back up the ArcGIS Monitor Server application; Steps: 1-3 Can someone confirm that for me? Thanks, Dave

Thanks Thomas Jones. The Statistics are useful and in my experience are great for quickly seeing the general usage, but due to the number of map services I'm dealing with, it's not practical in this case to use it to identify the most popular map services.

Hi Ben, The client for whom I'm writing the report has just upgraded to Portal 10.7.1, so I wasn't aware of the breadth of information available in the Status tab. I think that'll be useful in the short term, longer term I'm looking to automate the process and others have suggested System Log Parser and the ArcGIS API for Python for ways to extract that information. Thanks, Dave

I'm putting together a report and I'd like to be able to add a chart that shows the 20 most heavily used map services. I could manually go in to the Statistics section of ArcGIS Manager and click through all the map services, but there are hundreds. I was hoping to somehow get this information from the Server Administrator pages. Any ideas will be gratefully received. #arcgis enterprise 10.7.x

Thanks Jonathan Quinn. Is there any documentation that you are aware of describing the different items included in the search index?

Hi everyone, Can anyone tell me what the Portal search index actually indexes? The Portal user index and the Portal group index are clear to me, but what is a Portal search item - is it simply a Portal item? I have a customer whose Portal search index increased by 755, but if I search for uploaded/created content in Portal for the same time period, I only get 39 results. Suggestions and guesses are welcome. Thanks, Dave
