In a highly available ArcGIS Enterprise deployment, what is the best practice for setting up the ArcGIS counters in ArcGIS Monitor:
- 1 ArcGIS Server counter for each ArcGIS Server in the deployment; or
- 1 ArcGIS Server counter pointing at the load balancing URL/web adaptor; or
- 1 ArcGIS Server counter for each ArcGIS Server in the deployment and 1 ArcGIS Server counter pointing the load balancing URL/web adaptor
I suspect it is "1 ArcGIS Server counter for each ArcGIS Server in the deployment", but in this scenario if there was an issue at the load balancer/web adaptor tier, Monitor (or at least the configured ArcGIS Server counters) would not pick this up. Setting up counters for the servers and the load balancer/web adaptor seems like it would be collecting a lot of redundant information.
