Yes, this would greatly enhance the usefulness of guidance hints. Also, I second was @Merlin said, being able to insert images into the guidance hint (stored in the media folder, I assume) would be *extremely* useful!

Thanks for the response, Deon! I've never done anything with Add-Ins before so I'll have to read up on it, seems like it could be a good solution. As I mentioned, I'm still pretty new to using JavaScript within my surveys. Do you know the answer to my more general question about using libraries within the scripts section of S123 Connect? Or is that the point when I need to look into building custom Add-Ins, as you suggested? Thanks!

Hello, I am fairly new to learning JavaScript but I have started using it in surveys when I need to do more complex calculations. I received a request from the client today and what they want to do is to generate a graph dynamically within the survey interface, as the user enters data for a cross section. It would ideally look something like this: Is it possible to do this in Survey123 using JavaScript? (or any other solution?) I've read a little about the JSCharting but a more broad question is...is it possible to use libraries like this at all within Survey123? Thanks in advance for any advice! -Katherine

Good point. There will be a little bit of back-end work based on how we have things set up, but still way quicker than manually updating all those lists! Thanks again 🙂

Thanks for the feedback, Amanda! That's definitely a good option. As far as existing data in the layers that I need to preserve, I would need to export the current layers, create the new ones, overwrite the existing, and then append the old data into the newly updated layers, correct?

If I remember correctly, the outbox will show you records that you've submitted. But the inbox shows all records for the feature layer and you can select the record to edit the existing point. Check out the "Enable Editing" section of this documentation: https://doc.arcgis.com/en/survey123/desktop/create-surveys/prepareforediting.htm Hope it helps!

Have you considered using Survey123's Inbox feature? And you could also format an instance name that would be more easily read, including probably just the "Date Monitored" and "Box Number", something like that.

Hello, I have several hosted feature layers (one for each client, 35 to be exact) that contain a point, line, and polygon layer. Each of these have a choice-list (domain) with ~100 items in it that I need to update, so that's 105 choice-lists that need to be updated. What is the most efficient way to handle this type of update? Thanks in advance for any ideas and/or advice! Best, Katherine

I had to deal with something similar the other day. What worked for me was going into the symbology pane for the raster layer and changing the value under the "mask" menu:

Oh wow, that was easy. Yup, no errors with only dragging in the .shp file. Thank you! For some reason I thought you had to drag in all related files....oh well! Thanks for clearing up that question!

Hello, I've noticed something curious in ArcGIS Pro (regardless of the version) and wanted to see if I could get some clarification on why this is happening. Whenever I drag all highlighted elements of a shapefile (cpg, dbf, idx, prj, shp, shx) from Windows File Explorer into ArcGIS Pro, I get the following error message: When I check the notifications pane, it has several warnings mentioning an "unsupported data type". However, the shapefile does indeed pull into the map just fine and there are no further issues. Also, if I add the shapefile through catalog and right click > "Add to Current Map", it pulls into the map without an error message. Any idea why this might be happening? As I said, it's not really an issue...but I'm so curious what's causing it!

Webhooks would be the way to do this, but it looks like many of the workflows use the third party companies you mentioned. https://doc.arcgis.com/en/survey123/browser/create-surveys/webhooks.htm Maybe if you show this documentation to your IT department they'd be a bit more trusting? haha

Thanks for all these links, @DougBrowning ! I also need this functionality for many of my surveys. Colleagues keep requesting it and I just have to keep saying... "It's in Esri's hands. People have been requesting it for years." I made sure to follow all your links and upvote.
