In ArcGIS Online, locate the feature layer associated with the survey and open the item details page. Click on Data > Fields and then click on the field name that has the choice list that you want to edit. Scroll down and click on Edit for the list.

Have you also deleted the value from the choice list that can be viewed through the Item Details page of the feature layer?

If you configure and save the pop-up/attribute field order through the Visualization tab of the feature layer's Item Details page, that setting will maintained for any map that layer is added to.

Are you getting a specific error message when trying to send the report? If it's just hanging...double check to make sure the form and feature layer are shared with the correct groups that the inspector has access to, and that those groups also are checked under "Who can submit to this survey?" within the collaboration tab of the Survey123 website.

Clever workaround, thanks for sharing! I am curious what your report template looks like....are the cells that are showing up as empty hard-coded into the template?

Ok. And I see in your screenshot that you are logged in as "Doug"....is that your main account (an administrator, I assume?) Or an account with different user privileges? According to this documentation, "You can manage all surveys in an organization and organization-wide settings for Survey123 on the Organization page of the Survey123 website. This page is only available to organization administrators or users with a role that includes the Organization website privilege." You probably viewed that page already but figured it couldn't hurt to ask - just trying to throw ideas out there!

Hi Ron! How are you trying to generate the reports? Are you using a custom report template?

Hmmm, strange, I also still see the organization tab when I view the website, so I can't reproduce the behavior you're seeing. A silly question, but is there a chance it could be browser related? (i.e. try a different browser, clearing cache, etc.) Also, are you able to view anything when you go to this URL directly? https://survey123.arcgis.com/org/surveys

That syntax looks correct to me and I think it should work for either select_one or select_multiple, but the question is...have you actually tested it? If so, is it producing the output you expected, or returning an error?

Unfortunately, as @MobiusSnake mentioned, there really isn't a good way to do this at the moment. I created an Idea for this a while ago, so feel free to give it a kudos and comment if you want to get it supported. https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-online-ideas/add-and-remove-layers-to-existing-hosted-feature/idi-p/1028128

First off, if you have syntax questions I highly recommend checking out the "Quick Reference" section that's available when uploading a report template! If anything, it can be useful for copying and pasting into your template since it references exact field names from your survey. To answer your specific question, for the first cell in your table next to "a. No Approved Plan", you'd put in a conditional statement like this: ${violations | checked:"noapprovedplan"} That will generate a checkbox in the final report output that will either be empty or checked depending on the answer to the question. Hope that helps!

Hello, I am hoping to move my career development in the direction of GIS Developer (currently GIS Analyst). Unfortunately, I don't personally know any GIS Developers that I could ask this question... I am wondering what environment I should be focused on developing in? Is it standard in GIS development to be comfortable developing in a Windows environment, since Esri software works best on that operating system? Or is it more standard/expected to be comfortable working in a Linux environment? Any advice in general on moving forward in this career path is appreciated as well. Thank you in advance for your time!
