As Brian suggested, you can use editing templates and proceed level by level. But you need to check that you have your z-value adjusted as well. You might snap to the prelim pathway-features if you have any or give the correct default z-value for each level while editing. We are currently developing a Web App to edit POIs and Events. There you have some flexibility to automatically populate field values with Arcade.

Hi @Jinho_Kang it would be cool if the "Import BIM to Indoor Dataset" allowed to choose to keep the absolute elevation... see also: https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-indoors-ideas/support-for-absolute-elevation/idi-p/1104896 Question: for the generated 3D Multipatch, or would that work to just add the absolute value (eg. "z.value+400") in the "absolute height" attribute-expression in the scene and it's ok to adjust the z-Value only for the "2D"- features and Network? Would the paths be shown at the correct height in the 3D scene if you do it that way?

A couple of months have passed, and I have another use case for the use of absolute elevation: In a hilly terrain, outdoor paths above might the enter the buildings e.g. on level 2, whereas paths below enter it on level 0, or even in the basement. Would you give the "outdoor"-pathways-vertices simply the relative elevations of the levels and "interpolate" the vertices in between? It would be much simpler to use absolute elevation and grab the z-values from the DTM... I know from other projects where they use absolute elevation, so it is possible, but the import tools should support it natively to avoid post-processing steps...

We would like to be able to customize Event informations across the different Indoors Applications (Viewer/Kioks, Mobile). It should be possible to make all the available fields from the feature class visible (long name, subtitle, end date and time), and eventually also add custom attributes (e.g. urls) See also the following post: https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-indoors-questions/formatting-events/m-p/1316947#M538 Thanks for consideration

Hi, I'm struggling with the same issue. (See also my similar post here: https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-indoors-questions/custom-attributes-for-events/m-p/1335688 ) I tried to use the existing fields "subtitle" and "long name" to create links (e.g. to website to register for an event), but they are not visible in the panel. The pop-up in the webmap automatically sets these fields as an active link (if they start with https://). The "end date" isn't visible either, which is a bit annoying for events over several days, and people cannot see the duration either (if it's on the same day). Is there a way to make those fields available in the info panel if they are filled? In the mean time I filed an idea for this: https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-indoors-ideas/customize-event-info-panel/idi-p/1397749

With the latest update, both fields ELEVATION_RELATIVE and ELEVATION_ABSOLUTE are no longer present in the ArcGIS Information Model. When importing a BIM file into Indoors, the absolute elevation is converted to relative in the z-values and all information about the absolute height is lost, you would have to create a special field in the units for it, map it with the revit-property and join it to all the other layers... Is there a way to display and make work a 3D Scene with absolute height? Or is this not as indoors is designed? It would really be useful to have terrain information, especially for buildings on hills, where half of floors might be underground and half off ground. The other option would be to create a special scene for visualisation purposes only (building scene layers directly from the revit) but without any indoors functionality (wayfinding, analysis, POI search...) I cannot find the case #02842013, so could you give us a status update here, @Will_Isley / @JunruChen ? Thanks Annina

I agree that the display of adjacent buildings is quite a hassle (in ArcGIS Pro, Viewer, Space Planner), and it would be really great to be able not "leaving" the floor when navigating from one building to another connected on the same floor (other than the groundfloor). In Pro, you can find some workarounds with definition queries, but it's definitely not intuitive. There's another similar idea: https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-indoors-ideas/indoors-3d-hide-all-unselected-buildings/idc-p/1372816

Hi, there's similar idea about handling display of (adjacent) buildings/floors: https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-indoors-ideas/arcgis-indoors-allow-customization-of-floor/idi-p/1303423 I totally agree that navigating through (complex) campuses should be smoother.

Check out these: https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/tool-reference/indoors/import-bim-to-indoor-dataset.htm (revit) https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/tool-reference/indoors/import-ifc-to-indoor-dataset.htm (ifc, new in 3.2) not sure about dxf, the https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/tool-reference/indoors/import-cad-to-indoor-dataset.htm tool (available in 3.2) seems to require dwg or dgn, you probably have to convert the dxf. Please correct me, experts 😉 Cheers

Hi @AbhyanshuGupta it also looks like your lattice goes through walls. Did you specify the correct level (for units, levels, details) when creating the prelim pathways? Did you specify the walls as a barrier? In your "Details": Are there any "wall-lines" on top of the doors? If yes, these will block the pathways. Does your "Levels" feature class contain continuos polygons without holes and parts? If not, delete holes and parts. Best, Annina

The levels created by the Import BIM to Indoor Dataset GP-tool contain holes (often present in a Revit Model, e.g. for elevators and stair cases). When creating the preliminary pathways, these "holes" are not covered. This is particularly annoying for stairs and elevators. It is therefore necessary to remove the holes, connect multiparts etc. manually for each level after import. It would be great if the tool could integrate this step, and create continuous levels.
