This would be a great addition. I am working on a feature layer of events that will take place over the next year. All the events have different start and stop dates. A displayed calendar would really help show when the events are open.

I would love to be able to include something more eye catching on a webmap / webapp. The pulsing point really draws the eye into a location, no mater the zoom level. Can Esri include something like this in the future? Link to best see the animation https://www.currentla.org/public-programs/la-commons/

Hi GKeily, I have tried playing around with that configuration feature. The problem is we want to append data after the layer in published. It seems using the append in model builder in Pro, when appending the time zones applied to the layer is ignored. The only work around I have found is to have two date fields. One for local time PST and one for UTC. If a user is consuming the data in pro, use the PST time, If they are using the data in enterprise use the UTC field. We are a city so we never need to show things in another time zone. And if a user was accessing city data outside of the area, it would be safe to assume the data is shown in the local time. Of course changing the way time/date is applied to the entire enterprise system as this point would be quite the task. Would be great if there was just a way to turn off the automate time conversion and just use the date exactly as entered. i.e. 12/13/2021 12:00am would always show as that time, no matter the environment it's being loaded in

I would like to find a way to see what maps/webapps/dashboards etc consuming one of an organization/group shared hosted feature layers? I don't mind others using layers I stand up, kind of the point of sharing them. The problem comes if I want to make a schema change. I don't have a good way to notify those consuming the layer. So I could accidently break someone's map/dashboard etc. Which if it's public facing would be bad. Would love to find a way to tell what products are using a feature layer in both AGO and portal.

Always great to be able to click the accept as solutions button. Thank you @IhabHassan I think this is what I needed. I am sure your correct that is likely overkill to use esri css file, we are still exploring how this will be used. //doc.write(divText); doc.write(divText + '<link rel="stylesheet" href="https://js.arcgis.com/4.21/esri/themes/light/main.css" />');

I am working on a simple webpage to allow the printing of a pop up as a pdf. Currently loading an existing webmap as we have many existing projects we would like to add printing to. I am new to javascript so I am sure there is are better ways. Currently I am using the following to get the pop-up information var popUpTitle = document.querySelector(".esri-popup__header-container--button").innerHTML var popUpContents = document.querySelector(".esri-popup__content").innerHTML And passing that to a new window, it works pretty well only I am losing the colored bands to help keep everything to read. Which is not huge but someone will want it. To view my code in code pen https://codepen.io/rbohan/pen/mdMZbdp

I wish there was a way to turn off the automatic time conversions for a layer/table. I work for a city, so everything is recorded in local time, and users assume when viewing that it's displaying local time. Unless we label something as UTC I understand I can set the time when publishing. However if I append data to that set, there is no option adjust the time. Which results in date/time in the same column in two different time zones. Clearly that is problematic. The only work around I can find, is to have two columns, one in local time (PST) and the other in UTC. Letting the user pick which they want to display

I am running into the same problem. I have a table with dates only. When I display it in a dashboard it adds a time stamp. The problem is this also shifts the date by a day. It appears to be a shift caused when appending data into portal. For some unknown reason the table on portal wants to convert time. (this is an error) So if I do the work around to add it to a map and then remove time. Its the day before.

@Anonymous User super excited to hear this is has moved product plan. Fingers crossed it will be in enterprise portal 10.9.1? Currently you have to use map viewer beta on portal to use smart forms for field maps. However html is only supported in classic, and this is a breaks a smart form.

@SOVANHALDER I found a work around. Not sure if this is available to you. I had admin set me up with a built in account. I am no longer using my okta account to sign into our enterprise portal for python stuff. This seemed to be the trick as my old scripts are back and running again. We have recently done some security upgrades so I wonder if that is why the otka login stopped working. There might be a better way to generate a token, fairly new to python myself.

I am also using okta and a python script. It seems I am getting a similar error. Looking at old overwrite scripts I can no longer connect to portal 10.8.1 with out getting an error. user = '######' #username@city.gov password = '#######' #okta password goes here try: gis = GIS('https://webmaps.ourcity.gov/portal/', user, password) un = gis.properties.user.username print("Logged in as: ", un) except Exception as error: print("An error occurred : ", error)

Hi Shital, I am fairly new to python myself. I did find a tutorial on YouTube that really helped. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NfnBLGLRb7Q I also found making a view of my feature layer to share with the public helped once it's published.
