One of my users notified me on Nov 14th at 10:45 am EST, that he is no longer able to edit his submissions using the form in the survey123 dashboard. Neither the form nor his privileges have changed since last week when there were no issues. Is it possible the system update that occurred this week affected this functionality?

I'm using MAKE to automate report generation and route it to specific emails. Once in a while the scenario will stop and the error will say "maximum number of repeats exceeded". Which is strange because there are no repeats in this survey. On the MAKE community board, searching for this error message gives zero results. In this case I didn't realize the scenario had stopped. After turning it back on, it ran without any errors. Has anyone ever received this error, do you know why it occurs and how to mitigate it?

@abureaux I mistyped in my original post. Instead of dashboard I should have said map in the survey. I'm following the "Storing the location of an address as a point geometry" section in this post about storing geopoints from using the geocode appearance. I have since discovered the real reason it returns 0,0: one of our locators is not returning the full JSON like the ArcGIS World Geocoding locator does. This is what it returns: {"address":"111 MARYLAND AVE","location":{"y":0,"x":0},"attributes":{},"score":-1,"extent":{},"spatialReference":{},"searchText":"111 MARYLAND AVE","candidates":[{"address":"111 MARYLAND AVE","location":{"y":0,"x":0},"attributes":{},"score":-1,"extent":{},"spatialReference":{}}]} How should our local locators be configured to return the full JSON as it does from the ArcGIS World Geocoding locator? UPDATE: only one of our local locators is not returning the proper JSON. I can use a different locator.

@abureaux ESRI Support confirmed that each repeat record can have its own geopoint. My issue appears to be more of a time out issue. In our testing on the support call, sometimes the second or third pulldata call would bring in the x,y and sometimes it wouldn't. Our organization locator is a composite locator with 4 different locators. The last one is the ESRI World Geocoding Service.

I have a form with a repeat that contains both an address question using the geocode appearance and a geopoint question that accepts the coordinates pulled from the address question. After publishing the form from Connect and submitting a record with different addresses for 3 repeats, the dashboard only shows the map coordinates from the first repeat. The other repeats show coordinates of 0,0. Isn't each repeat record allowed to have its own geopoint?

We are having this issue also. The survey is public and allows anonymous submissions. First submission was 9/19/22. After 53 submissions this is the first time we have seen this error. The author submitted anonymously, after the failed submission from the public, and it worked.

I understand that it is possible to update the attribute values of existing attributes in the spreadsheet. And it is possible to push those changes up to a feature layer but it is not possible to geocode a new record so it adds to the existing feature layer. I have since learned how to use the ArcGIS connectors for power automate: find address candidate and create record in feature layer. I've added these steps to the end of my current flow that is writing the customer address and other details to the spreadsheet. I know now that I could add this map into Excel so the user could interact with it.

I understand that there isn't a Create Filter option in the ArcGIS for Excel map. I did discover that it is possible to select features on the map and it will filter the spreadsheet. I was going to say that it's not possible to filter the spreadsheet and have it filter the map, however, when I filter on a column in Excel, while the same number of points are showing on the map, the popup values don't correspond with the filtered Excel rows. A new issue to troubleshoot.

In the What's New in Microsoft 365 for August 2023 post it states that the Find address candidates and Geocode addresses actions now support custom geocoders. Where do I set the custom geocoder?

First time using this product. I have a spreadsheet that adds customer information, including an address, to an Excel spreadsheet through a separate process automatically. I manually geocoded this spreadsheet to create a layer and to display the map. However, as new addresses are being added to the spreadsheet, I want these locations to be added automatically to the existing layer. Is this possible? EDIT: Michael Bishopp posted this same question in October 2022. The answer was No. Has anything changed since then?

First time using this product. After geocoding the addresses in a spreadsheet, I shared the map to my account. I didn't find a filter tool in Layers so I added the filter in Map Viewer. However, it doesn't appear that it is showing in the Excel map. I tried reloading the map but that didn't work. Is this possible?

The answer is no. The other organization in the partnership cannot share this data beyond the group. I asked this question at the conference last week.

Trying to setup this tool on a geometric network for a sanitary sewer system. I've used these configuration file in the past but never for the profile tool. I don't remember seeing this particular error. When I activate the tool and click on a manhole a popup window appears with "A Location was not found." Clicking anywhere on the screen causes this error to appear. Is it the config file or is it something else?

As a follow up to this post, if I share an item that my organization owns to a group in a partnered collaboration, can users from the other organization share that item outside of the collaboration? Like publishing it? Is there any setting that prevents another organization from copying the data to a new item?

Thought about it a little longer and I remembered that it is possible to include content that doesn't appear in the dynamic content. In this post from 2018, in the section "Handling Dynamic Content from Survey123. A few tips", it describes how to include hidden content. In PA, I set a variable and initialized a variable with an expression to convert the UNIX time to readable time. addseconds('1970-1-1', Div(triggerBody()?['feature']?['attributes']?['closing_date'],1000) , 'yyyy-MM-dd') This allows the content to be added to the email body.
