Is it possible to link to a file stored on an iPad from Explorer? I've seen the example of how this could be done in Survey123 using the media folder. I have images that are associated with assets. In ArcMap I can click on a URL to open an image on a network folder. I have been able to copy files to the ipad. I've played around with the iOS Files app. I haven't figured out if it is possible to actually link to one of these files. Update: After more researching I learned all about deep linking and found this thread https://community.esri.com/thread/189139-collector-app-ios-hyper-linkdee-link-not-working-now that led me to the GoodReader app on iOS. It works as advertised. However, despite the extensive help system I would not have discovered how to open in "reader view" without the post's image (thanks Brad Bolton) of what the URL should look like. For $5 the app has a ton of features and while it doesn't appear the app is being actively supported anymore it does work. For PDF and all types of files.

I would like the ability to modify the list of URLs in the header panel. Over time I've added 4 URLs to the link area in the header panel for a dashboard. If I want to alphabetize that list or change the order in any way I will need to cut/copy/paste each one individually. I would like to be able to just move them or use arrows to move them up or down.

I'm having the same issue again on a different ipad. Explorer (v18.11), Collector (v18.02), Survey123 (v3.0.132) are all installed. I've signed out of every app. Closed all by swiping away. I'm using the enterprise login. Only Explorer is giving me the option of logging in under a different user. When I login to the other apps it uses the previous user's credentials.

When I try to create a MMPK using SDE vector layers and those layers have feature linked annotation the tool fails. Is there any way to have it ignore those relationships? If not, is the only solution to export those layers to a file GDB?

Thanks for the reply and the screenshots. I did not know about the "out beyond" issue but that is why I was having this problem because the raster TPK was the last layer in the TOC. Once I moved it above the VTPK it worked fine. In my original post I can see why you were confused. I should have written my last sentence as "When I didn't touch the map scale on the layer and created a MMPK it showed up in Explorer but only at the 1:300 and 1:600 scale." I had already found the thread about the spatial reference because I ran into that issue also.

The raster TPK (a TPK with aerial imagery) that I have inside my MMPK appears in Explorer to be overriding all other map scales of a VTPK and operational layers. The raster TPK was limited to two map scales 1:300 and 1:600. Without the raster TPK, the VTPK and operational layers in Explorer show at the scales I set. I noticed that when I added the TPK into the ArcGIS Pro project as a layer it showed at all scales. When I set a map scale on the general tab in properties and then created a MMPK it would not appear in Explorer at all. I know it was there because the file size was 5 gb. When I didn't touch the map scale on the layer and created a MMPK it showed up in Explorer. Great instructions by the way. Super helpful.

I'm starting to learn how to use map packages and tile packages for Collector. If I create a custom offline basemap in a state plane projection for use in a tablet how are new features stored? If I use the tablet GPS location to add a point feature is the new feature added in state plane?

Hi Philip, I did try to force close by swiping. I finally had to uninstall the app. I reinstalled with 3.0. I haven't used it long enough to know if it is still and issue. Mike

Using Survey123 2.8.2 on iOS. I want to sign in with a different user, however, after signing out, entering the enterprise login, the field app automatically signs in with the previous user. Is there a way to clear this previous user?

Alex, The assignments layer is an existing hosted feature service. Publishing against an existing feature service is described in this blog post - working with existing feature services Here are some quick instructions: Look at the details for that service. Click on the 3 dots and choose view item details. On the overview page scroll down to the bottom and copy the service URL In the settings tab of the survey123 worksheet, in the cell under submission_url paste the service URL. (I x'd out my specific values) https://services.arcgis.com/xxxx/arcgis/rest/services/service_xxxx/FeatureServer Publishing from Survey123 is a two step process. Save your worksheet and click publish in Survey123 Connect. If all goes well you will see this message Then click publish survey If you get this message then one of the field names in your survey does not match a field name in the existing feature service. (this message doesn't tell you which field(s). It only tells you how many. In this example, it is one field). Go through your survey again to make sure the field names match the fields in the existing feature service.

The link in this post to the webhooks topic is incorrect. https://community.esri.com/external-link.jspa?url=http%3A%2F%2Fdocdev.arcgis.com%2Fen%2Fsurvey123%2Fbrowser%2Fanalyze-results%2Fwebhooks.htm I think it should go here instead: http://doc.arcgis.com/en/survey123/browser/analyze-results/webhooks.htm

The space was the issue. It was saved in the URL. I typically build and update these URLs in Notepad++ because I can see the whole URL. I know that I need to ensure there are no carriage returns in the URLs before I copy it back to the popup. I missed this. Another item for my checklist. Thank you!
