Hello there, This is a great question, and one that I can hopefully answer. Publish to web has been a bit of a challenge for ArcGIS Maps for PowerBI. Up until January, there were some scenarios that seemed to have worked (i.e. publishing to SharePoint Online) albeit a bit unstable. As of the January release of ArcGIS for PowerBI, we have officially begun to support Publishing to Web. However, it did bring in a new set of requirements: You must be signed in to a valid ArcGIS account with the appropriate user type. To create a map-enabled report in Power BI, you must be signed in to Power BI with a Pro or Premium account. Consumers do not need to be Power BI users to view published reports. Power BI data used to create the ArcGIS for Power BI map must use latitude and longitude coordinates for locations. If the Location field well contains addresses or standard boundaries, publishing to the web will not work. A published map can contain a maximum of 30,000 locations. The map must not contain secure data. Maps with secure data cannot be published. You must run the ArcGIS for Power BI publishing precheck before generating an embed code for the report. Consumers cannot sign in to published reports. You may notice that the PowerBI Add on license is not mentioned, due to its deprecation around the time of its release. To answer your questions specifically: Publishing to web requires an organizational ArcGIS Online Account (source) Reports that worked in December may not meet the requirements above. My suggestion to you is to log a support ticket requesting which functionality you are missing and request an enhancement be logged. The PowerBI team is very responsive to these requests, especially if they are tied to an idea in GeoNet. Please let me know if I can assist you further!

Hello there! At this point in time, I believe that ArcGlobe (the desktop application) requires elements added to the layout to have relationships to whatever is on the globe. Do you have a layer that uses this color map on the globe?

Hello there! Thank you for sending out your question. Essentially, you are able to update an already shared dataset in Maps for Office. To do so, I took my sample data, and inserted a row ensuring that whatever field I used to georeference my data was filled. Once this was finished, you should be able to see that the maps for office visual update to include the latest addition. There was a temporary moment where it Share button did not switch over to "Update" but once I pushed it, the update workflow took over. TLDR: you should be able to add/updated rows to an already published set of data granting that the column(s) used for georeferencing are properly filled.

Hello there! In my experience, this behavior is actually a symptom of a potential bad geolocator that has been configured in your ArcGIS Online / Enterprise organization. Please confirm that all configured geolocator URL's are accessible from your ArcGIS Online host org.

Hello there, My apologies for not getting back to you sooner! Typically, we see this error when a column name in the excel dataset contains an illegal character. Please go through all of your column names and make sure that no improper character exist. Additionally, please try to publish the file I have attached to this post. This is some sample data that should publish without issues.

Hello Katherine! Excellent question. It appears that you first have to select the drive time layer in the Layer List: After this, you should be able to see the selection tool pop up: Please let me know if this helps! Edit: Added the correct screenshots.

Hey there Hau, Apologies for the delay! This error is usually indicative of an unexpected symbol in the column name. Are you able to publish sample data attached to this post?

Thank you for the clarification, So to start, this the single machine HA deployment scenario is only pertinent to ArcGIS Server. The idea is that you have multiple machines (at least two) that have ArcGIS Server installed. Only one machine is running at a time, and they each have their own Configuration and Site (Not a multi machine site). The procedure would involve: Installing ArcGIS Server on multiple machines Configuring directories and sites for each installation Publishing appropriate services to each Server (while taking careful consideration of data storage) Configuring a load balancer with rules that would enable it to switch over to the passive machine once the active goes down. I would venture to say that the inclusion of a third part load balancer is why we don't see procedural steps like with other pieces of our software. A word of caution: This type of failover scenario will not synchronize services between the active and passive ArcGIS Server. You must have a plan in place to update these on your own, making this a pretty admin involved HA deployment. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Depending on the security settings of those services, it is possible. Tricky is a good way of putting it! I wrote up this into an enhancement on our end: ENH-000131441 Develop a way to import ArcGIS REST based services and tables into PowerBI, feel free to log a case to request your account to be added to this if you would like. Please let me know if you have any follow ups!

Hey there Randy, At this point in time, that is correct: data from your AGOL organization and ArcGIS Enterprise is currently limited to being reference data. That being said, we have enhancements logged toward expanded functionality with these data, so I would suggest logging a case to add you account to the enhancement. Please let me know if you have any questions!

Hey Julia, You are able to add points and polygons to the visualizer but with a catch... To add polygons, you must geocode the layer by a polygon type dataset. Example: If I bring in zip codes into the location field the visual will match up the data to zip code polygons. So if your data is subdivided into these types of data then it should be possible to bring them in as polygons.

Hey there Grant, To sign into ArcGIS Online via PowerBI, you must have an ArcGIS Maps for PowerBI Add on License granted to the account see this link for more information. That being said, there are some changes coming down the pipe with this licensing model that will greatly increase availability for this app, stay tuned! Looking at your screenshot, it appears that you are trying to enter your ArcGIS Online organization ID into the ArcGIS enterprise setting. You will want to use the first option. Please let me know if you have any questions.
