Thanks for submitting this @Anonymous User I just tried in ArcGIS Pro 3.0 and do not experience the need to restart the application. You can currently refresh a favorite item from the burger menu: KoryKramer_0-1663252660224.png (This screenshot is from a daily build of ArcGIS Pro 3.1, but that Refresh functionality is there in 3.0). Can you please check to see if that refresh works for you? In ArcGIS Pro 3.1 (scheduled for Q1 next year), we're adding a lot of functionality to the favorites context menu, including Refresh. KoryKramer_1-1663252772943.png Try the current refresh method and let us know if it allows you to connect without having to restart the application. Thanks

Have you tried the Report Bug option from https://support.esri.com/en/contact-tech-support ? KoryKramer_0-1663096095452.png While there may be in-house issues that are addressed in patches, primarily what goes into patches are high priority bug and crash fixes. These bugs originate from Technical Support which is why it is important to get them reported there. That said, I have passed along the above information to the appropriate teams and I'm sure they will investigate. It will still be worthwhile to submit it so that you get a Bug number for tracking purposes. Thank you!

@GISJess You could use Select by Attributes to select records where the values in a field are null. KoryKramer_0-1663073508531.png With the selection in place, then Calculate Field to populate those values all at once instead of one by one.

I'm sorry that you're seeing this behavior - it appears that you are trying to report a bug and ArcGIS Ideas is not the place for bug reporting. Please see the Idea Submission Guidelines KoryKramer_0-1663020590893.png I'm curious about "I thought that the 3.0.1 patch was going to fix this, but it didn't." Was this already reported to technical support as a bug? I couldn't find anything similar reported for ArcGIS Pro 3.0.

@Jimmy_Simpson see https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-pro-ideas/duplicate-both-layout-and-associated-maps/idi-p/1136849 Thank you for the comment @StephenSkartvedt I took a look and it doesn't appear that you added your kudos to the idea. While comments are important, kudos (the number of votes) that an idea receives is one of the primary pieces of data that we use to determine traction and trends as we monitor idea activity over time. Please see https://community.esri.com/t5/custom/page/page-id/arcgis-ideas for a high level overview of how ArcGIS Ideas works. For more details, see Frequently Asked Questions about ArcGIS Ideas Thank you for your participation in the community and for helping us prioritize future development efforts for ArcGIS Pro.

@DiogoFnds just a note that your idea was merged with this existing idea, so please be sure to add your kudos to this one to show your support. Just a note that while the idea's title asks to lock the layout, it is really about locking map frames that reference the same map, whether they are in the same layout or multiple layouts. Regarding that knowledge article that you cited, that seems outdated to me - having to save a mapx file and import it certainly does seem onerous and is not necessary. You can just drag and drop a map into the same Maps container to create a copy very quickly. Then adjust the layers as needed. Point map frames in layouts to the corresponding maps as needed. QuickCopyMaptoModifyLayers.gif When you say "I just wanted to print a single A0 layout with several regions separated in different frames, with different layers turned on or off," does every map frame/region have different layers displaying? For example, you could already have different views from the same Map for Region 1, Region 2, Region 3, etc. But the reason this doesn't work for you is because for each of your map frames, you need to display different layers. Can you show some examples of that? How many layers are you working with, and does every map frame have a different combination of layers you'd be displaying? When you say "I wouldn't duplicate a map and create multiple map references in the same layout just for this," is it because of the number of regions? Would this mean copying your map 5 times? 25 times? What is the pain point with having a map specific to each region that can be completely customized without affecting other maps? We've been discussing this idea quite a bit lately, so I'm genuinely interested in learning more about your specific case. Feel free to respond here, or if you feel it would be more helpful, I'm always happy to set up a screenshare - you can private message me if that works better for you. Thanks!

As noted in my previous comment, the 'Empty feature layers' option in the Contents pane filter should resolve this request, meaning that it isn't necessary to dig through datasets.
