I see the behavior you're describing. My question, though, is that it seems you can clear the selection and re-select features and the joined fields no longer display in the Attributes pane (that is what I see). That doesn't work for you? You said that you have to close the project and re-open it, but I don't see that... ... View more

Hi @GrantDickins_OX2 I'm really sorry to hear about your attempt at updating to 3.0. While you can see that a few others have experienced some issues, we have seen many thousands of users successfully make the move. Your post led me to look for the support case with Esri Australia and I didn't see any information about troubleshooting that was done.  Given @TimothyRudzik's response about checking the Access database drivers, and I know you said you worked through the Excel recommendations, but we have seen some cases where that needs to be looked at very specifically. Did Support go into the detail that Tim shared below?  Do the projects you've had problems with contain Excel tables? If they do, and the correct drivers aren't in place, that could potentially lead to a project not opening. If they do, and your drivers are installed and working correctly, or if the problem projects do not contain Excel tables, then something else is going on and it needs to be figured out. I'm not sure if you are in a position to share project packages that don't work for you in 3.0 (i.e. have you rolled back to 2.9, and could you package a project there and share it with me?), but if you can, shoot me an email at [email protected]. Thank you for the clarification @LyonMNGIS That does help to understand the workflow. Through communicating here and on the other thread, it looks like, as you've said, you can accomplish the field mapping part and maintaining the attribute rules using Feature Class to Feature Class (I believe the new Export Features tool will serve you well here too). And then if you need to remove the attribute rules, use the Copy Features tool. I understand that the request now is to have an option built in to the tool (FC2FC, Export Features, etc.) to allow you to drop certain things when copying a feature class, but for now, you have a path forward. @LyonMNGIS have you tried using the Copy Features tool? I think that removes attribute rules. Based on the conversation on this related thread, my guess is that you want the field map control in order to reorder fields, etc. and also have the option either keep attribute rules, associated domains, etc. or not. Is that correct?   ... View more

@LyonMNGIS I see that you most recently submitted https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-pro-ideas/remove-attribute-rules-with-feature-class-to/idi-p/1202352 which is the opposite of including attribute rules. I just checked in a daily build and I do see the attribute rules getting copied when using Feature Class to Feature Class. So that would satisfy this idea. Let me know if I'm missing something. A couple of things to try: I noticed that you're running from and to a Dropbox location. If you place your input file and output gdb/feature class in a location that isn't trying to sync with Dropbox, do you see any difference? The other thing that comes to mind is to check that you meet the new Excel driver requirements for 3.0.  https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/help/data/excel/prepare-to-work-with-excel-in-arcgis-pro.htm Though if you can pull that csv into a map and open the table with no issues, it likely doesn't have anything to do with these drivers... ...
