@LindsayRaabe_FPCWA it looks like that was the dev link. Should be all sorted now - we updated the link to https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/get-started/whats-new-in-arcgis-pro.htm

Note that Refresh Excel was added in ArcGIS Pro 2.9: https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/tool-reference/data-management/refresh-excel.htm (that is the GP tool, but Refresh is also possible on an Excel workspace from the Catalog pane or view). This allows users to make edits in the Excel sheet and refresh it in place in ArcGIS Pro without having to close and re-open the application. If you are interested in editing the table directly in ArcGIS Pro and having that write to the Excel spreadsheet, see https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-pro-ideas/edit-csv-using-attribute-table/idi-p/1265721 There is also this related about having the attribute table refresh button trigger the Excel workspace refresh: https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-pro-ideas/refresh-excel-data-using-attribute-table-refresh/idi-p/1264584

@ChristophHoeser We're listening! We're just putting the final touches on the video and blog to share with Esri Community members to let you know that we have implemented ~66 of your ideas in ArcGIS Pro 3.1 - status change coming soon... Have you checked out ArcGIS Pro 3.1 yet? https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/get-started/whats-new-in-arcgis-pro.htm See https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/help/analysis/geoprocessing/charts/pie-chart.htm. With the ability to morph from a pie to a donut, these are by far the most delicious charts in ArcGIS Pro.

@Anonymous User sorry to hear that you're hitting a crash. I think we can see the cause (thank you for including your email when submitting the error report!). Question, it looks like part of what causes the crash is having a composite layer (i.e. a group layer) inside a map service that is in the map/layout being exported. Can you confirm that is the case? While we think we understand the cause and will try to put in some guards against the crash in a patch, we do not currently have a reproducible case. It appears that the export does not cause an immediate crash, so when the application closes, it might appear that you're doing something else, but in reality, it was the export that kicked off the problem. It would be great if you could work with Technical Support to provide us the project or example map that you're working with. We may have somebody reach out to get more information to expedite us solving this. Thank you.

Hi @MzCPE can you give us an example directory that would be acceptable to your organization/admin? Because add-ins are zip files that contain a .dll and .dlls cannot be loaded while still in a .zip file, it is necessary to have a location where we know the user is able to write (i.e. extract the files from the add-in into that user's directory). Since your organization doesn't allow files to be executed from the user profile location, what location do they allow files to be executed from? Can you also share what the root concern is - is it security? Are there scans that happen on other folders that do not happen on the current user profile folders? We're trying to understand the problem that would be solved by allowing an organization to designate where the add-in AssemblyCache folder resides. Thank you in advance for more specifics and context that you can provide!

Hi @LarsArneson Each status has a hover tip with additional info. Under Consideration means that we do have an issue for an idea in the development backlog but it has not yet been prioritized into a release plan. More about idea statuses can be found here: https://community.esri.com/t5/community-help-documents/arcgis-ideas-submission-guidelines-and-statuses/ta-p/904874#toc-hId--1516391307 I'll say that this is something we're considering doing, but it is not in the Pro 3.2 release plan (October/November 2023) at this time. Hopefully we can pull it in after 3.2.

@jluong ArcGIS Pro 3.1 does require the latest version of License Manager, as explained above in this comment https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-pro-documents/arcgis-pro-3-1-is-now-available/tac-p/1262613/highlight/true#M382 The current license manager version is 2022.1 and you'll need that to run Pro 3.1

I realize this is an old ArcMap idea, but wanted to follow up to note that we updated the ArcGIS Pro documentation to confirm that the SpaceNavigator mouse is supported. https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/help/mapping/navigation/overview-of-3d-navigation.htm

Hi @RobertHooley sorry that you're running into issues. The community thread that you point to cites a bug that was fixed in ArcGIS Pro 2.6: https://support.esri.com/en/bugs/nimbus/QlVHLTAwMDExNjY1MA== I found another potentially related bug here that indicates it was fixed in 2.5.1: [BUG-000115414: Including arcpy.env.workspace in a string in a Python argument in an embedded script tool in ArcGIS Pro results in a g_ESRI_variable being added to the script when the project is shared as a template which can sometimes break the script.] Since it appears that the problem you're referring to is either a bug in a current release (TBD) or a bug that is already resolved, I am closing this as an idea. What version of ArcGIS Pro are you currently on? If it is a version later than 2.6, it sounds like this should be reported to Technical Support and investigated as a bug. Thank you.

@Bud Yes, given that this request is asking for the ArcMap functionality (which is discard) we plan to implement that and would close this idea at that time. It would be more helpful if after the functionality is provided, users feel that additionally undo on nonversioned data is necessary, tracking that separately would be best. Thanks

@DaveFullerton are you referring to Command Search in ArcGIS Pro? This idea wouldn't be about that as it is from 2016 and Command Search didn't exist then. In fact, I'm pretty sure this is about Find in ArcMap. In which case the Locate pane resolves that request: Let us know if you're referring to Command Search as I'm sure there are some other related ideas out there... Thanks

I am sure that our geoprocessing team will take a look at this. In the meantime, can I offer a couple of thoughts to help you be even lazier? (because personally hitting Alt and then A and then TS sounds absolutely excruciating to me). 1. Add the Tools command to the Quick Access Toolbar. Then hit Alt and the number (6 in my example): So we've just saved a couple of clicks to aid in your laziness (ahem, increase your productivity!) 2. But why settle for that? Have you tried Alt+Q to launch Command Search? Because you can just search for your GP tool there without even having to first launch the GP pane... Anyway, like I said, just hoping to aid in your efforts to remain as supine as possible while using ArcGIS Pro!

This is offered through the application management settings workflow described here: https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/get-started/application-setting-management.htm See the Catalog settings section: https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/get-started/administrator-settings-list.htm#ESRI_SECTION1_D5FBAC4B1B414CC98F762F2F9B1157C2

>> It sounds like that's what ESRI is doing with these changes but I just wanted to be clear. Yes, sounds like we're tracking 😊 >> BONUS POINTS: It would also be really great if ArcGIS Pro could allow users to roll back individual edits within a non-versioned SDE edit session. This is not currently planned. We need to first provide parity for ArcMap user workflows and then we can evaluate Undo vs. full discard. To be clear, if this is needed in the future, it would be to Undo edits in reverse order, not pick an edit out of the middle of a stack and undo it.
