Right, so you're referring to the discussion happening around ArcGIS Pro 2.2.0 and Python Package Manager and in the comments of https://community.esri.com/community/events/user-conference/blog/2018/07/10/esri-uc-day-2-updates We'll be sharing knowledge articles about these issues very soon. Hope to be publishing those today...

ArcGIS Pro 2.2.1 Patch is Available But reading up this thread, I think you're referring specifically to the "python environment issue". I don't think a fix made it into the patch but we have a couple of knowledge articles that should be publicly available soon (hopefully this week). Those have details about how to remedy the situation. Stay tuned and thanks for the patience.

Hi Sheila, Good question. This came up in Re: Is there an 'Identify Route' tool? My response on that thread: I wanted to follow up to make sure the community is clear on the roadmap for linear referencing. While we have the geoprocessing tools in Pro, we currently do not have the equivalent commands from the ArcMap toolbar. Pipeline Referencing is a new extension for ArcGIS Pro and since that is currently available to customers, there is an Identify Route tool associated with that extension. There is work to be done on the development side of things to bring linear referencing capabilities to Pro that are equivalent to (and better when possible) ArcMap. The work just hasn't been done yet. So Joe, I don't want this thread to be ended with the misperception that doing your linear referencing work in Pro will now cost you something. It won't. The plan is to provide functionality in Pro that will allow you to complete the linear referencing work that you currently do in ArcMap. We just aren't there yet. Thanks for the patience as this is built out in Pro. Hope this helps.

Thanks, Tyler. I really apologize that you're experiencing this crash. I was able to reproduce it, so we have the crash dump file - not necessary to get anything else from you at this point. Of course we never want to see crashes, but when they do occur, please fill in the error report along with your email and a description of what happened. This can help if we end up needing to reach out for more info. More here: Report software errors—ArcGIS Pro | ArcGIS Desktop "Error report files have the extension .dmp and are saved to the application data location on your local hard drive, typically C:\Users\<User Name>\AppData\Local\ESRI\ErrorReports. The 10 most recent reports are saved." Thank you.

I apologize that you're experiencing this issue. I tested this workflow and to me it appears to be a bug that the ranges don't update. I've logged [BUG-000115732: Update Symbology Ranges by Data does not have any effect when using Apply Symbology From Layer with raster data.] If you're experiencing this issue, please call technical support to verify and get attached to the bug for tracking purposes. Thank you.

I found these two related ideas Notes Bar (Like in Power Point) in ArcMap and Notepad in ArcMap On those ideas you can see comments similar to what Dan has mentioned; i.e. storing a txt file with the project. You can leverage geoprocessing history to understand what processes have been run in the project, and also use metadata. Now in ArcGIS Pro, you could use Tasks to record info like this. It isn't necessarily what tasks were designed to do, but very possible to take some notes about what you were doing in a project and what remains to be done... What is a task?—ArcGIS Pro | ArcGIS Desktop

Tom - you said you repro'd so I tried again with the second raster as a layer in the map and got the crash. Will get this to the framework team right now to analyze. Thank you!

Tyler, does this crash for you on 2.2? I followed the steps you provided but Pro doesn't crash. Could you send me example data and steps to reproduce so that we can take a look? Thank you!

You'll see that Open ArcGIS Pro without having to Save is marked as In Product Plan and we should see this with the next release, ArcGIS Pro 2.3.
