What about if I remove the user from the organization? Will that impact any of their submitted survey data?

I have some members in my AGOL organization that I want to rename or remove, but they have submitted several Surveys via Survey123 as well as Assignments and data via Workforce. If I rename the user, will it change the existing data or will the new name show only in the newly submitted stuff? If I remove a user who has submitted data or been a mobile worker in a Workforce project, will their collected data disappear also?

So, I Enabled Attachments on the feature class, added one image (as an attachment) to one feature, two images (as attachments) to another feature, and left the rest without attachments. The feature I added two attachments to is now showing up in my Story Map Tour. All of the others are still absent. Granted, I can't figure out how to tell the Story Map Tour which of the attached images to use as the thumbnail and which to use as the picture, but I'm still further along than I was this morning.

I'm having a similar problem. I had created a story map tour from this webmap last week, but was having problems getting the images to load as I expected. I came back to work on it this morning and all of my points in the story map were gone. I figured it was user error, so deleted the story map and started again with the webmap, sharing as a story map tour. Still no points in the story map tour.

I have a survey that I created and shared with my organization, both to submit and to view. Everything is working wonderfully! Except, when I look at the survey in the Survey123 website I see 249 records. When other organization members look at the survey in the Survey123 website, they see 154 records. Nothing past January 4, 2018. But, when other members of the organization look at the hosted feature service in any other location they see all of the records. I tried unsharing the Viewer aspect of the Survey, but that didn't seem to change anything. Any ideas what is going on and how to fix it?

I have several layers of existing features - poles, transformers, meters, fuses, etc - which I would like to relate to a QR or barcode. Can I do that in Survey123? All of my assets currently exist in a GIS, and I want field crews to be able to walk up to a pole/transformer/meter/etc, scan in the QR code, and pull up the data we have on the asset. If that can happen/does work, could I extend the capability in the future to a complete inspection program via ESRI software? I.e - Lineman Louie walks up to a meter and scans the QR code. Existing information about the asset is shown on the mobile device. From there, Lineman Louie can choose to Inspect or Maintain the device. This would open a new field in a related table that would collect information like the inspection date, meter reading, commentary, pictures, status, etc.

Our IT department is planning a large server and software upgrade and have asked me to determine how the ESRI software will be impacted. We are currently running ArcGIS for Server Standard version 10.3.1 (build 4959) on a Windows 2012 R2 machine. The database server is running SQL Server 2012. IT would like to make the jump all the way to Windows Server 2016 and upgrade the database server to SQL Server 2016 as well. According to this documentation: Microsoft SQL Server database requirements for ArcGIS 10.3.x—Help | ArcGIS Desktop I cannot run my current version of ArcGIS Server (10.3.1) on the proposed Windows Server and SQL 2016 update. Due to related software restrictions, I cannot upgrade my ESRI software to anything higher than 10.4.1. I would rather not upgrade my ESRI software (both ArcGIS Server and ArcMap) at the same time as the big Windows and SQL server upgrades. (Changing too many things at once is just a disaster waiting to happen.) But, the documentation suggests that I am going to have to do so. Do I have to upgrade at the same time? Can I keep my current configuration for a week or two after the IT upgrade and then only upgrade my ESRI software when the server upgrade has sorted itself out? Or should I upgrade ESRI before IT upgrades the server?

I'm not able to find this part: "What you need to do is update the submission url in the new form to point to the new feature service. The submission_url column in the settings tab of the survey form defines an existing feature service where your survey responses will be submitted. You need to provide the URL of the new feature service item (not the service url) and then republish." Would I look in Survey123 Connect or somewhere in ArcGIS Online? I'm not able to find a settings tab that asks for a submission_url anywhere.

I've got several hundred images from a drone that I would like to have in a webmap so that people could click on the area in question and "inspect" the items in the photos. Drone2Map makes a wonderful layer of all the points from each geotagged photo, and in the software I can click on a point and see the photo. How can I get that point layer and photo to a webmap? The idea is to create an Inspection Area webmap/app from the images taken by the drone. I have also used the Story Map Tour to show the map and the photos and it works great for a small number of photos. It's doesn't work so good for several hundred photos over the course of a couple miles. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

1) Yes, I used Connect to update the survey. 2) The names are: LED Light Change Out (original, existing HFS) and LED Lights (new HFS). I did change the title when doing the update. I thought I was just changing the title on the survey, and not creating a new HFS. 3) I updated the existing survey. I added some questions and added more options in one of the dropdown lists. Here are pictures of the data tabs. I'm not sure if this is helpful, but I found it interesting. (old version) (new version) It looks like the data table is still the same name, but the "old" version is being updated while the "new" one is not. When I looked at the form in AGOL, the area under 'Layers' is blank. Does that mean the form isn't pointing to a HFS? If I were to update the survey (using Connect) again and change the name back to LED Light Change Out, do you think the form would update the questions and go back to using the original HFS?

I needed to update my existing survey to help clarify some of the data I had been receiving. Before I published the survey again, I had completed the backup/export of existing data as suggested. Once the new survey had been published, the name of my hosted feature layer had changed. I imported the existing data back into the new(-ish) survey and thought everything had worked as expected. But, now I have two hosted feature layers in the same survey folder in ArcGIS Online. When I look at the Survey123 site, it only shows the data for the new HFL. When I look at the old HFL in AGOL, I can see that data is still being submitted to it. How did I end up with a new HFL with a new name? How can I turn off the ability to submit to the old HFL without turning off the ability to submit to the updated survey?

Well, I just tried Appending the data through the table on the Data tab and it worked like a charm!

That's totally awesome! I've been looking forward to trying this all weekend! But, now that I have, I get this error: Object reference not set to an instance of an object I don't see anything in the match fields dialogue where I would set the object reference. What am I missing?
