I am trying to learn how to use the GeoEvent Extension for ArcGIS Server (both on version 3.1), and the GeoEvent tutorial keeps referencing a Registered Managed Database. I've read a lot of websites on the subject, but am still confused by the difference between a Registered Database and a Registered Managed Database. Also, I've got my SDE already in ArcGIS Server as a Registered Database. Can I add it in again as a Registered Managed Server? Do I need to change it to a RMS? If I do so, will it break things that I've already got working in SDE, Server, and our ArcGIS Online Organization? ... View more

I have an Operations Dashboard with several widgets. The map has the points symbolized by one attribute and the widgets provide a summary of those attributes, as well as graphs and charts of other attributes in that same layer. I would like to be able to click on a bar in the bar chart widget and have the corresponding points on the map be highlighted or selected. How can I make that happen? ... View more

I'm updating the map books for the electric utility and have created two different map series in ArcGIS Pro. One for the map grids and another for the developments. Although there was a significant learning curve, everything seems to be working well. However, I would like to put the legend for the entire map book on one separate layout page. I don't want to have a map frame on the page, just the legend. I can only get a legend to show up if I add a map frame to the layout, and then the contents of the legend only show what is in the map frame - not every layer possible for each of the map series. Is this even possible? Or am I going to have to create a legend in ArcMap, save it as a pdf, and then combine the legend pdf with the map series pdf in order to create a single map book? ... I work at an electric utility. We have miles of line that get inspected every year. We have invested in a drone and D2M to help with those inspections. I want to be able to have a map shared to my AGOL organization that shows our line and poles, but also a layer of the flight path and photos taken by the drone. The end product would be to allow any of the Operations managers to log on to AGOL, open the Line Inspections map and click through the photos of poles and line in our system. I would also like them to be able to edit the points to show which have been reviewed and which show damage that needs repair. The crowdsourced webapp that the City of New Orleans showcased at the UC and, more recently, the one of the flooding in MS and LA is very similar to what I want to do. I created a survey using the web design page, but now I want to change the thumbnail picture for the survey. Can I do that in the web design? Or is that functionality only available in Survey123 Connect? Is there a way to get the surveys I create on the web show up in Survey123 Connect, and vice-versa? ... View more

I created a quick survey to become more familiar with the app, using each of the types of questions available. The design page in Survey123 is not showing all of my questions, nor is it allowing me to edit the questions I have already written. Yet when I publish the survey, all of the questions show up in the mobile app. I saved the test survey as another survey and went to try and edit the questions again, with the same luck. ... View more
