Thanks, I wish this was included in the help for the widget. That would have saved some time! Question though, I made the change to the security of the organization but the apps still use HTTP. When I try to manually change it to HTTPS, the app will not load. UPDATE: I made an edit to the webmap and now it does try to access using HTTPS but the app still wont load.

Why do I get a message that says The widget is only available when the app is accessed through HTTPS in this browser when I use the My Location widget in a Chrome browser? On my phone it doesn't even display the message, the icon is just grayed out.

Why can't I install the Water Utility Network Tools add-in? Every time I do this I get an error that says "No GUI components found in this Add-in. Add-in version does not match. I am using 10.4.1 and this appears to be the most recent version of the add-in.

I'm not that impressed with Pro. I won't be using it by next summer unless something happens to Desktop.

I honestly can't remember what I ended up doing. Most likely I called technical support to resolve it. I do know that I don't have the issue currently.

This new Idea vote up down feature is a bit clunky. I clicked on Vote up and noticed the score went down....odd. I was included in the list of users that voted it down. I think I got it fixed but who knows. Esri admins??

For this particular project I am working at a single scale. I will try switching to classic snapping to see if that resolves things. I haven't noticed this behavior before this project and primarily use the simple snapping for other projects. Not sure what it is about snapping to points that causes some issues. It's as if the line shifts as I am double clicking the last vertex to finish the sketch.

I am working on a project where I essentially am connecting points together with a line in a sequence. There are hundreds of points so I move pretty quickly and I've noticed that even though I have snapping turned on, I will often get points that aren't snapped to properly. I thought maybe it was my snapping tolerance. I checked and it was 10 pixels so I adjusted it to 20 pixels. I am still having this issue. I am using the simple snapping instead of the classic snapping. Any thoughts on an appropriate snapping tolerance? I am working at 1:1128 scale.

Thats a good set up you have there. I was hoping to actually convert my powerpoint into a story map, just not sure how to get started. I'd like to see if anyone else has tried what I am thinking about.

Thanks, I am trying to test this out but everytime I try to add a map, it tells me the layer is not responding. I can open up the same thing in ArcGIS Online just fine. Ever experienced that before?

I've seen lots of story maps and apps for things like Comprhensive Plans but I haven't really seen anything related to regular staff reports for things like rezonings, conditional use permits etc. There is a public comment app but I am wondering if anybody has ever done a staff report using dynamic mapping presenatation. Planning Commission meetings can be a rather dull thing to go through as much of the staff report is full of technical jargon and sometimes repeating of the same answers in the case of the Golden Rules that we use here in Kansas. Anything to spice up a boring powerpoint presentation.

I understand that, but there is very little attribute information with these other feature classes, in fact, I'm not even sure how I would do a join or relate based on the data dictionary as there is no unique id. Of course this could be added fairly easily but the idea of the this model is that you shouldn't have to do that much tweaking to make things work.

I am thinking about adopting the Local Government Info Model for my road network but I don't understand why the attributes are all separate feature classes. Looking at the data dictionary there doesn't seem to be a relationship between such things as surface type, number of lands, speed limit etc with the road itself. I intend to combine these into one layer called Street so that it makes more sense. Then of course separate layers could be created in the TOC but would easily relate to each other.

I think part of the problem may have been that the reference data was versioned. I made sure the latest one was with the Default version. My server could probably use a restart as well. Restarting the server is such a major hassle though I don't like to do it very often.
