I'm not that great at the back end of SQL. How do I check on this to see how to change this?

The thing is, the machine is just as it says my GIS server. So the only thing that should be causing locks at all is the GIS services. Seems a shame to have to shut down all services to make a simple schema change to one feature class.

But how do you keep the users from reconnecting. I have the box unchecked that says the Geodatabase is accepting new connections and yet my GIS server reconnects on longer GPs.

My services lock my SDE so fast I can't run this long of a model but I think combining the models doesn't work. Some additional background: I am trying to copy features from a feature service layer into my SDE and it is such a headache. This is the only way the county will give me the parcel information. I'm trying to make this as simple as possible but building the model is proving very troublesome. I have issues somewhere everytime I run it.

Ok, I still have issues with locking and would like to just stop all services in order to clear locks but I can't seem to make a script a precondition.

Does the output before the precondition affect the input of the next operation though? They are all separate feature classes, just a bunch of copy feature processes that have to be done pretty regularly and its just easier to use a model. If this works, I can actually combine two models into one.

I have a number of processes that are related but independent of each other, I would like to force them to go in a particular order as its easier to diagnose issues when looking at logs after the model fails. For instance, I have found that my services tend to lock my SDE after a short period and I would like to run the longest process first in order to make sure it gets done and doesn't have to be rerun if locks develop during the model run. The one at the bottom should run first since it is so long. I know rearranging the graphic wont help a bit. The top four processes are much quicker and should be run after the long one.

Maybe I am missing something here, but I am able to have annotation in AGOL now. I can't produce it in AGOL (like you can with labels), its done in the map service but the annotation layers for parcels for example display just fine in AGOL and my webmaps.

David, I will try to remember this tidbit if it happens to me again. I read through your thread too, almost identical issue to mine. Oddly, even though multiple people are reporting this, Esri didn't seem to know what was causing this issue. In my case, this wasn't the first time I had had the issue with the particular feature class I was working with. What was most frustrating for me was that it didn't throw an error of any kind and nothing showed up in the logs, it just didn't work and the only way to show the problem was screensharing or a video like bokeefe posted.

I'm convinced SDE has a lot of problems, either that or somehow AGOL is corrupting my services. There seems to be no rhyme or reason why a service suddenly becomes corrupted and the other solution seems to be (from Support) to export the offending features class(es) to a file geodatabase and import them back in. And, of course, Collector uses AGOL to function.

Ultimately, this had to do with a specific feature class that had somehow become corrupted. I exported it out to a file geodatabase and then imported it back into my SDE. Here is the solution write up by Support: Issue was due to a specific feature class. Able to configure pop-ups after exporting this feature class out to a new feature class and then publishing.

That's exactly what I am trying to do, but when I hit configure, nothing happens. Or maybe I am missing what you are saying. Are you suggesting I do this in ArcMap before I publish the service? I can certainly agree with you on that point, but I still need the ability to change the text that shows up for the link. "More info" doesn't really make sense for what I am wanting the user to do.
