Thank you for all the feedback we have received on the 17.1.0 release! We very much appreciate your comments - we are hearing you and working on updates now. We want to get fixes out quickly, so will be releasing with the first set of them very soon, and then continuing to work to address others as quickly as we can. The first update, 17.1.1, is expected to be available next week. It will include the issues listed below. Most of these are available to test in beta now, others will be coming in a beta update on Monday: BUG-000106474—Can't see sublayers in the Layers list, or toggle sublayer visibility. BUG-000106478, BUG-000106507—Hyperlinks appear as text and URLs aren't clickable in the pop-up. BUG-000106475—Feature search fails when searching sublayers. [17.1.1 Beta 2] BUG-000106698—Map search settings aren't honored, including disabling search in the app if Find Locations is disabled in the map. Improved performance when searching, identifying, and dropping pins on the map. [17.1.1 Beta 1 for dropping pins, Beta 2 for identify and search improvements] Search results should list features before places. Improve sorting of maps in the Maps browse screen: sorting by title shouldn't be case sensitive, sorting by date shouldn't put oldest maps first. IWA Portals aren't being remembered in the list of recent portals. Support deep linking to Box with box:// and boxapp:// schemas. Explorer 17.1.1 Beta - you can request access to the betas for 17.1.1 by emailing [email protected]. As this is a new beta program, you'll need to request access even if you participated in the beta program for 17.1.0. We are also working on another update, 17.1.2, to address more of your feedback. Although not final yet, here is a tentative list of what we plan to include: BUG-000106480—Pop-ups for map services are not consistently displaying values when the field alias is different from the field name. Note: We tried to get a fix for this into 17.1.1, but could only get a partial fix for map services hosted on ArcGIS Server 10.5 or later, and we didn't have a fix for earlier versions of ArcGIS Server. We have decided to wait and make sure we fix this properly, which unfortunately will take a bit longer. In the meantime, you can try one of the following workarounds: Republish your service so that the field names and field aliases match. Add the layer to the map using the FeatureServer endpoint instead of the MapServer endpoint. For example, https://myserver.com/arcgis/rest/services/MyService/FeatureServer instead of https://myserver.com/arcgis/rest/services/MyService/MapServer. Add the layer to the map using the full URL to the map service layer ID instead of the URL for the MapServer endpoint. For example, including the /0 for https://myserver.com/arcgis/rest/services/MyService/MapServer/0. BUG-000106721—Maps with uploaded shapefiles that contain a z-value don't load Correctly format dates and coded value domains in pop-ups when the field name and alias don't match. Certain layers not displaying and instead showing an exclamation mark beside the layer in the Layers list. Support attachments on map services. Current Workaround: Add the feature service to the map instead of the map service. Improve the speed maps open Preserve the last open map when working without signing in Support using multiple fields in custom attribute displays Honor scale visibility when identifying Identify on tile layers Support for CSV layers through a URL The following are also being discussed and evaluated right now, although no time frame has been determined: BUG-000106841—Add groups to the browsing experience Bring back the magnifier BUG-000106539—Support for sharing a map with others in your organization Thank you for your feedback and our deepest apologies for any problems the 17.1.0 release has caused you. Robb Hodges we completely understand your frustrations with Explorer and appreciate your comments and feedback as well. Thank you for your active participation in the beta program. We are working hard to solve these issues and made a bad mistake in letting the issues that you had reported go out in the release. Note that we will be updating Test Flight soon with a couple of additional fixes and will clearly describe what will be in this update as well as what will not be in this update. With regard to Collector, we are taking a different approach with it's release. We are going to create a separate listing so that the new app can live side-by-side on your device and you can migrate workflows over time. Once again, our deepest apologies for the problems this has caused and we hope to earn back your trust in Explorer and our apps soon!

Our plan is to provide a Test Flight build to those that email [email protected]. We already have a working list so please add yourself to it if you have not done so already and would like to test ahead of release - we would like your validation on these issues if possible. In the interest of time, we are submitting our 17.1.1 update for release as well and will make it available as soon as possible. Here is the working list of issues addressed within the 17.1.1 update: - Cannot see or edit visibility of sublayers in Layers list - (BUG-000106698) Webmap Search Settings not honored - Ranking should return features as top result on search - Maps: Sort by Date is putting oldest maps at the top - (BUG-000106480) Workaround for Popup Details not showing for 10.5 and 10.5.1 services - Takes a long time to drop a pin with slow rendering layers enabled - Sort by Title: Should not be case sensitive - IWA portal URLs not being added to the recent portal URL list on the portal Sign in screen - (BUG-000106478, BUG-000106507) URLS not clickable in Popup - (extends BUG-000106698) Disable search if Find Locations is disabled - URL Scheme: Support box application Thank you for your continued support. We are excited to announce that Workforce for ArcGIS is now fully supported with ArcGIS Enterprise 10.5.1! Workforce is a stand-alone setup that you will need to download from the MyEsri website. Once you sign in to MyEsri, navigate to the Downloads section and click on Apps. There you can quickly search for Workforce and find the installer. Before installing Workforce on top of ArcGIS Enterprise 10.5.1, please ensure that you have configured a hosting data store as Workforce writes project contents to it. Once installed, simply navigate to: https://host.domain.com/webadaptor/apps/workforce (where host, domain, and webadaptor are replaced by the information about your portal) to create your first Workforce project! For more information about ArcGIS Enterprise configuration for Workforce, please read our documentation topic. Workforce Team

Jeremy/Doug, Appreciate the feedback and comments and sorry for any frustration this has caused. We have had challenges finding an appropriate solution given the nuances/changes found in Android OS versions and our requirement to support as far back as Android 4.1. What we implemented seemed a compromise we could come to in the short term. We do have in our backlog to improve the way we work with SD cards as we evolve Collector. Thank you for being passionate users and voicing your feedback. Jeff

How to get running again 1. Uninstall Collector from your device. 2. Navigate to “My files” > “Internal Storage” > “ArcGIS_Collector” Open “offline_data” and delete any local content left on the device. 3. Install from the store. It does seem to be happening mostly on Samsung Galaxy S7 and S6 devices. Our apologies for any inconvenience this has caused. We will update the blogs once we isolate this.

On June 5 th , we released a new version of Collector that is now available in the iTunes App Store, Google Play, Amazon App Store and the Windows Store. This is a minor update but adds some strategic new enhancements that will improve the way you work with high accuracy GPS receivers, manage attachments, work with basemaps and use Collector in a connected environment. GPS Averaging – can be used to improve the precision of your high-accuracy collection workflows. You can capture a number of positions and create a location from the average of those positions. Rename Media Attachments - now you can provide a meaningful name to the photos that you take around a feature. This is one of the most requested enhancements. SD card support (Android) - you can use the SD card to store and manage basemaps for easier, faster deployment of data. Continuous Collect Improvements - now supporting feature types that contain relationship classes. Layer Refresh Support - if your feature layers have a layer refresh interval set, Collector will honor the refresh setting. This is valuable when working with maps in a connected state as the graphics of a feature are cached when on the device and this will force a query/update. In addition to these updates, we have several additional bug fixes and minor stability improvements. Please refer to our documentation website for more information. The Collector Team

During a recent EGUG Birds of a Feather webcast, Kurt Towler from Sulfer Springs Valley Electric Cooperative (SSVEC), presented on how they used Collector for ArcGIS with Eos Positioning GNSS receivers to inspect 7,640 locations, capture over 34,000 asset records in just 32 days. That's 235 collections per day! Paired to the Eos Arrow receiver, their median accuracy was 4.6 cm, dramatically improving the accuracy and currency of their data. The webinar was recorded and uploaded to YouTube. You can view it here:

Hi Chad, I made a copy of your web map into my org and was able to successfully load it using the 10.4.2 version of Collector on my iPhone 7 device. I think it would be best for you to contact support so that they can triage the issue you are running into. Thanks, Jeff

Chris, You need to have at least 1 editable feature layer in your map. I would go through the map and check if: Editing is disabled on your layers. If Editing is disabled on the feature service. Another thing to potentially check is that if you sign into Collector using a different account than the one used to author the map and the feature layer/feature service that the map and services are shared in a group that the Collector user has access to. Hope this helps!

Hi Rachael, We currently have an Early Adopter Program set up to support Portal 10.5 now. There were some unforeseen challenges with supporting 10.5 on top of other hot fixes/patches to the product so we have the early adopter program for 10.5 and will officially release support with 10.5.1 this summer. Apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused you. Jeff
