Inside the Field Maps Early Adopter Program you'll find access to beta versions of the mobile apps for iOS and Android, access to the EA version of Field Maps Designer, documentation, tutorials, and activities that center around what's coming in June, and a place where you can provide us direct feedback as well.
Here's what's coming in the June release:
- Attachment form elements - the photos, videos, and documents you capture are now part of the form so you can direct how and what media needs to be captured when it's needed. You have the full power of form logic and arcade at your fingertips here!
- Multiple choice form element - now you can select all those inspection violations, site conditions, and pizza toppings in a single, comma-delimited string field.
- Improved search experience - we've enhanced how search performs queries and processes results - a long-standing ask. We've also added the how you configure search inside of Field Maps Designer so you don't have to go out to the setting buried in the item details anymore.
- Enhanced GNSS support - we added more GNSS metadata fields including orthometric heights, coordinate systems, and more. If you're using Trimble receivers, we now support tilt-compensation as well.
- Tasks - task filters define how mobile users work through their todo list in the field. Now you can sort those filters based on custom fields and specify what the default sort order should be.
- Branch versioning - when working with the online map, now you can switch between a subset of versions using the Layers tool.
- Location sharing - we're adding support for sharing your last known location and location tracks over a constrained, satellite network so command always knows where you are.
Note that we're bumping to the 300.x version of the ArcGIS Maps SDK with this release as well.
Lot's inside this update and we encourage you get ahead of release by testing with the beta versions. Here's the opt-in link to join if you're not part of the program today:
