Erik/Hannes, Thanks for your inquiry. This enhancement request is in our backlog but we have yet to implement and unfortunately it will be some time before we can do so. Do not plan to see it in the product within 2017. It would be great to get your use cases/workflows so that we can append them to our backlog item. Here are a couple of questions that will help us out: - Can you describe what you are creating and what you need to snap to? - Are you looking to edit/reshape existing polylines/polygons and need topological operators too? If so, can you provide examples? - Are you simply tapping on the map when you are snapping or expecting to move a position coming from GPS? Thanks! Jeff

Hi Nadine, Unfortunately we need more information to go from to see what the problem may be. Collector does support nested relationships. It is important to note that only GlobalID based relationships can be maintained by the software for you. For example - the relationship between the Point feature class and the service table would need to be modeled using a GlobalID field as the primary key on the Point feature class and a GUID field as the foreign key in the service table. Likewise in the service to meter table. If you do not base the relationship by GlobalID/GUID then the relationship can be viewed in Collector but it cannot be maintained by the system (you will need to maintain them). I hope this helps and if not, please reach out! Thanks for your post! Jeff

Hi Lancaster - from a quick glance it looks as though you may not have set up a location profile in Collector? If you do not set up a location profile, Collector will assume that positions coming from your receiver are in WGS84. However if you are connecting to a VRS network, they are most likely coming in as Ohio South (NAD83). Here is a documentation link describing the location profile: Use high-accuracy GPS—Collector for ArcGIS | ArcGIS Thanks! Jeff

We released a minor update to the Workforce for ArcGIS web app inside of ArcGIS Online today (Jan 31st, 2017). It includes a few focused enhancements that improve the way that you dispatch assignments to mobile workers. Here are a few highlights worth mentioning. Disable Clustering Clustering can be an extremely useful method for visualizing work assignments, especially when viewed at a small scale. However you have asked us to provide the flexibility to turn off clustering so that dispatchers can see individual assignments even when multiple assignments are visible in a small area. To provide the utmost flexibility, this is a subtle switch available to all Dispatchers directly within the web app. You can now turn on/off clustering when you see fit. Filtering Assignment Types and Priorities When creating assignments using the web app we have added some targeted enhancements that help improve productivity. Using the keyboard can be much faster than using the mouse and if you haven’t yet discovered, you can use tab and enter to move quickly through the experience of filling out the new assignment form. To help with this process, you can filter long assignment lists by typing characters that will get you to the type you want to set quickly. We added this same ability to the Priority drop down as well. Worker Thumbnails Take that favorite selfie and making it your user thumbnail pays off in Workforce. It can be difficult to associate the worker on the map with the worker in the list but by adding the worker’s thumbnail image into the icon in both helps Dispatchers make that mental leap. Assign to the closest Mobile Worker When picking the Mobile Worker that you want to assign work to, it can be quite useful to see how far away they are from the assignment you want to give them. A subtle addition into the web app is a recognition of distance away. For a list of all additions to the web app, please read our What’s New. So What’s Next?? You might be wondering when Workforce will be supported with ArcGIS Enterprise 10.5? We are busy working on this right now. Coming either at the end of March or early in April we will provide a standalone setup that lets you install the Workforce web app on top of your 10.5 Portal install. Workforce projects, maps and services will be written to the ArcGIS Data Store. How about Android? Are you going to release it soon? Well yes we are! We are finalizing certification right now and look for an update coming soon to Google Play and the Amazon App Store! We have a lot planned for 2017! Please stay tuned for announcement of future updates as we move into the spring! Workforce Dev Team

Jordan Rogers, GIS technician at Utilities Kingston, saw the value that Workforce for ArcGIS could bring to their organization before the product was released in July 2016. “We created all 5,300 assignments in Workforce for ArcGIS and then categorized them based on the type of work that needed to be done. Within four months, we had already completed 3,100 assignments.” – Jordan Rogers. Gas meter inspections and replacements, previously completed using paper, have transformed into work assignments that are completed using Workforce for ArcGIS with Collector for ArcGIS directly updating their GIS so that asset status is more accurate and always up to date. We realize that many of our Beta customers are using Workforce for ArcGIS in production environments and are not able to discard their Workforce Projects from Beta and start fresh with a new Workforce Project created from 1.0.0. For this reason, we're providing the information on what updates are needed in order to have the same user experience at the 1.0.0 release of Workforce as with the Workforce Beta. Note: Baring an unforeseen issues, we will support these projects and do everything we can to correct issues reported with such a project. With the Workforce for ArcGIS mobile app, you'll notice that when you open the details of an assignment, the Action button is no longer present. This will happen for any Workforce Project created during the Beta period. We've changed how App Integrations are configured for the 1.0.0 release. Follow the steps below to configure App Integrations for your project, once configured, the Action button will be available. Add Navigator for ArcGIS integration At the 1.0.0 release, every Workforce Project comes with Navigator app integration. Workforce Project from Beta will need to have Navigator for ArcGIS app integration added manually by following these steps: Click the Configure command on the Workforce Project card in the web app. Click the Advanced tab. Expand the App Integration section. Click Add next to Navigator for ArcGIS. Note: Navigator for ArcGIS 2.0 or higher is required to integrate with Workforce for ArcGIS Add Collector for ArcGIS or Survey123 for ArcGIS integration In order to use Collector for ArcGIS or Survey123 for ArcGIS at the 1.0.0 release, you will need to configure integration for each app. If the app integration is not configured, the option to “Collect at Assignment” or “Open Survey123” will not be available. Click the Configure command on the Workforce Project card in the web app. Click the Advanced tab. Expand the App Integration section. Click Add for either Collector or Survey123 and select which web map or survey form you want to use for the integration. Note: Collector for ArcGIS 10.4 or higher and Survey123 for ArcGIS 1.6 or higher are required to integrate with Workforce for ArcGIS Change Display Field for the Workers feature service from “Name” to “name” Click the Configure command on the Workforce Project card in the web app Open Dispatchers web map in ArcGIS Online Map Viewer from the bottom right area of the Overview tab On the Workers layer, click More Options …, and click Create Labels. In the Labels dialog, change the Text: from {Name} to {name}] Click OK You’ll now see Labels enabled and displaying for the Workers. Repeat the same steps with the Workers web map. Note that, at this time, we do not support labeling in the Mobile app. At this time, these are the only changes required for Workforce Projects created in Beta to be used with Workforce 1.0.0 release.

I am not sure who you spoke with Adrian but Collector is perhaps our most used mobile app and we are committed to making it stable and addressing issues so this is really disappointing to hear. Regarding your specific issue, it would be useful to receive more details and ultimately for you to contact our support team to diagnose what is happening. Are you receiving an error message of any kind? If not, perhaps this has to do with how you authored the feature layer itself. I see this quite often where the feature layer is symbolized using a unique value renderer. The renderer is based upon a field like say "Status" and when a new feature is created there are no default values set for that field and the renderer does not include null values. So it actually creates a feature and the feature will sync but it feels like it doesn't exist in Collector or your web map because you can't see it. The easiest way to check is to open the table and see if a new row was created. If you didn't receive an error message, give the above a try. If it still doesn't work then give our support team a call - they are the right resources to help you.
