We are still trying to replicate the issue. In the meantime, I will include the task files in the upcoming release of the solution in January. Gert

Hi James, You could try and use the 'Extract Package' tool to extract to a custom location in the meantime. I have forward this issue to the appropriate dev team. Gert Gert van Maren 3D Solutions Engineer +642040792466

Hi Jesse, You only have to install the deployment tool once per Pro install. After that you can use the deployment tool to copy the various solutions from our org to your org. From there you can download the chosen solution to your local machine or make it available to the rest of your organization. However this crash should not happen regardless. Can you share the crash dump please? Gert gvanmaren@esri.com

Hi Abraham, James, I am the author of the Local Government 3D basemaps solution and I haven't seen this issue before. Are you extracting the Pro package by clicking on it or do you use the 'Extract Package' GP tool to extract it to a custom location? It would be good to get to the bottom of this. In the meantime, 1 workaround would be to save the task file by right-clicking on it and save it locally. This way at least you can recover more quickly. In the next release I will add the task files separately as well if we can't find the cause of the problem. Regards Gert

Hi Vamsi, Could you try and install the package to a different location please? For example c:\temp\solar. You can use the Extract Package GP tool to extract it to a custom location. make sure not to use the cache option. Let me know if this works. Gert

Hi Cielia, Shadow analysis is ArcScene is not very well supported. You might to have a look at the Shadow Impact Analysis solution freely available for ArcGIS Pro. http://solutions.arcgis.com/local-government/help/shadow-assessment/ Regards Gert Gert van Maren 3D Solutions Engineer C: +64 2040792466 gvanmaren@esri.com<mailto:gvanmaren@esri.com> Solutions for 3D Basemap and Development Review<https://arcg.is/TfOOG>

Hi Graeme, You are looking at the correct documentation. Let me try and explain how it works... Tier 1 has 1 floor of 58 feet with color #FF2C36 Tier 2 has 10 floors of 12.05 feet with color #83C4EE Tier 3 has 7 floors of 12.05 feet with color #FFD958 and so on.... Roof height drives the vertical space that does NOT get split into floors. Typically you don't want to split of AC units and other stuff that is on the top of roofs. Or pitched roofs etc. Let me know if you have any other questions. Regards Gert

Hi Micheal, you could use our panelizer rule for this. You can find this rule in the Assess Visibility and Shadow Impact Analysis solutions. This rule allows you to create 3D panels on multipatches which you can then use to run analysis on. Let me know if this works for you. Gert

Hi, Could you share the actual error (cache file location is missing)? This is a core GP tool that is being called from a task so it would be interesting to see the actual error. Regards Gert gvanmaren@esri.com

Hi Anton, You can use Esri CityEngine to export multipatch features to a variety of 3D formats including fbx. Please note that the schematic scenes solution has tasks to manually refine the buildings after extraction. This greatly improves the quality especially for buildings with several roof forms within 1 building footprint. In this case segmentation is required for a good end result. Regards Gert
