So this piles on to "All other option need much more complex products and licenses for very simple task."...I have the same problem, and same lack of desire/time/budget to replace what is normally a simple function with something that takes 5 more steps and twice the time. So we're ingesting GPS collar data remotely, and we need to see the track and direction of the animal over the last 7 days. The following SQL assumes you can get your hands on a SQL DB. The key line of code here is SHAPE.ShortestLineTo(LEAD(SHAPE) OVER (ORDER BY [LMT_DATE])) which orders the GPS points as line vertices in order of time stamp, which not only gives me the track, but orients it in the direction of travel so I can symbolize it with the arrow. I run this nightly, so each day we can look at where the bears are headed (Not kidding, many arrows point to Krispy Kreme!) for the last 7 days. SET QUOTED_IDENTIFIER ON;

The following only works in a FGDB, not an enterprise SQLArchive-enabled Feature class, non-versioned. Sum($feature.ONE + $feature.TWO + $feature.THREE) properly sums the values of those 3 fields in the CALC field. Works in FGDB though. Is there a known limitation to Attribute rules in SQL 2014?

I had (still have) a very similar question. From IIS 8.5 Site Security Technical Implementation Guide :: Version 1, Release: 9 Benchmark Date: 25 Oct 2019: " "Allow unlisted file name extensions" check box is checked, this is a finding." But from Problem: Unable to connect to basic functionality in Portal for ArcGIS: "Portal for ArcGIS and its underlying processes use many custom file extensions. Access to these file extensions is limited when the 'Allow unlisted file name extensions', 'Allow unlisted verbs', and 'Allow high-bit characters' options are disabled in the Request Filtering section of IIS Manager. Group policy dictates the enabled/disabled settings in IIS Manager, and they may be disabled for security purposes."which "appears" to be in conflict with the STIG. There's a reason why group policy turns those settings on. If you really wanted to sleep secure, I'd tweak Request Filtering on your IIS instance to allow only what file extensions you want coming in with your surveys. Or, put your survey on AGOL and use Jame's syncing python thingy, which I'm hoping he updates to Py 3.6 soon! to sync the survey results to an on prem instance where you scan the file attachments on the way (that's what I do). With recent world events resulting in a sky-is-falling response in the ITSEC community, I suspect this topic will command my attention soon.

This was reported as BUG-000108431 When formatting all symbols, the buttons to modify symbol layers and symbol structure are missing from the Symbology format pane when the feature layer uses graduated colors with more than one class and was closed as "Not in Product Plan" with "When more than one symbol is selected, you can only access the basic properties of the symbols. Addressing this limitation is under consideration for a future release" but now shows as In Product Plan.

This is another example of where Pro is clearly and unarguably slower than Arc Map as the OP points out in How to turn off all pulsing-heartbeat and other animated effects in ArcGIS Pro? In the first screen grab, we can see very SLOWLY how first one half, then the other half, of the split polygon is "flashed", with the second half flashing twice. In Arc Map, note how this is instantaneous. When doing a lot of splitting (e.g linear transportation feature where you need to correct a lot of line-meets-intersections, or, even worse in a threat-to-life situation, and you're trying to carve up search or fire suppression assignments very rapidly), the delay adds up, as does what the OP refers to as the animation, which is significantly more noticeable and annoying due to its persistence time. While all of the pulsing flashing is going on, if you go back to the select tool to grab the select by rectangle, then select your next polygon to split, there is an additional 1-2 second delay until tool focus returns. used ScreenToGif - Record your screen, edit and save as a Gif or video and did not slow down the frame rate in the Pro grab, 30 FPS for both grabs. Both same excessively well-equipped computer, same data source (local FGDB). To be honest, I've never reported this or many other performance issues as I've assumed they're already logged they're so obvious.

Unfortunately not in the cards, we have several hundred feature services originally published from ArcMap, and as things come up and make changes, publish those changes from Pro. In addition, even if it's published from Pro the first time (new service), it is not possible to alter the Display Field in the REST using Pro by overwriting.

When publishing a SDE 10.7 feature class to server 10.6.1 from ArcMap 10.7.1, when I set the Display Expression, the Display Field is correctly reflected: In Pro, when I PUBLISH, same behavior, but when I OVERWRITE, whatever I set in the Display expression (attribute value, expression, string) is not honored, and only the original display expression when first published remain. It seems you can't alter the "Display Field" of a feature service using Pro?

Unfortunately not in this case. We have a few feature classes that depend on subtypes, and a fewer that use the subtype as the primary display/symbology attribute. Flipping those to domains removes the ability to use subtypes to manage different editing workflows, and duplicating the subtype as a domain isn't in the cards. I'll probably open a case on this.
