Hi Adam, The confusion might be happening because of the different ArcGIS software. I am unsure what you mean by ArcGIS Map. Perhaps you mean ArcMap? You definitely do not need ArcGIS Maps for Office (or Microsoft Office, for that matter) to create maps and features in ArcGIS Pro. ArcMap is another desktop map editing client and is a predecessor to ArcGIS Pro, though it is still updated regularly. If you are used to using QGIS, you may find the interface in ArcMap to be a bit more familiar. But for now, let us go back to ArcGIS Pro. If I am understanding correctly, you simply want to create your own feature class to edit in your project? On the right side, you should see a Catalog pane. If you don't see it, you may need to enable it from the View tab in the ribbon at the top. From the Catalog pane, you can navigate to the folder or database you wish to store the feature class. A Default.gdb geodatabase is automatically created for the project, so you may want to create it there for now. Right-click on the geodatabase > New > Feature Class. After going through the steps and creating the feature class, you can drag and drop the new layer into the map, or right-click > Add to Map. To add features to the new layer, highlight the layer on the Contents panel on the left side and click the Edit tab in the top ribbon. There should be an option for Create in the Features section. That is a very basic explanation of how to create features, but I suggest reading the ArcGIS Pro quick-start tutorials as they explain a lot and provide sample data: ArcGIS Pro quick-start tutorials—ArcGIS Pro | ArcGIS Desktop Hope this helps!

Hi Laurynas, Is your Notebook configured to use SSL? Running a notebook server — Jupyter Notebook 6.0.0 documentation (Section: Using SSL for encrypted communication). This documentation seems to go over using a self-signed certificate, but you can also use the same steps to add a domain certificate in the jupyter_notebook_config.py file. Let me know if this helps! -- Rachel

Hi Adam, Do you mean ArcGIS Maps for Office? That is the only Esri application I can think of that requires Microsoft Office, as it is an extension that allows you to view and edit your map data in Microsoft Office products. This is not required to create maps or 3D scenes in ArcGIS Pro; everything you need should be included in the trial download. Could you describe the problems you're encountering in Pro, and what made you believe you needed to install Microsoft Office? Best, Rachel

Hi John, Fiddler is a free tool that is good for capturing inbound and outbound web traffic to see what kind of error codes might be returned when the client is making the request to the server. This would at least help you narrow down what might be causing the issue. You may also consider reaching out to Technical Support, as there could be a number of different causes for this behavior. Hi Derica, This is a known issue with Map Journals when using the Floating Panel layout for a map journal that contains many sections like yours. You may experience better performance if you switch to the Side Panel layout in your Story Map's settings. Hope this helps! -- Rachel

Hi Brian, Does the other user have editing enabled? I don't know any details about your environment or data, but if you both have the MXD open, could this be due to a schema lock issue preventing them from editing the same features? -- Rachel

Hi Kyle, Are you the data owner of the dataset? The option to register data as versioned is only available to the data owner. If you are the data owner, do you have a Standard or Advanced license? You cannot register data as versioned with a Basic license. Source: https://support.esri.com/en/technical-article/000012497 Hope this helps. -- Rachel

Hi Adrian, In your Organization's ArcGIS Online account, check the user permissions under Settings > Member Roles and make sure that the box for "Publish Hosted Tile Layers" is checked. Additionally, make sure that the Organization account has enough credits to publish the layer, and that the user has enough credits allocated to them for use. Hope this helps! -- Rachel

Hi Allen, Which version of ArcGIS Server are you using? There was a bug with version 10.4.1 with publishing XY event layers: BUG-000096129 - When publishing a map service containing a XY event layer that is created from an enterprise geodatabase table, the layer fails to publish and results in this error: "Error 001487: Failed to update the published service with the server-side data location." The bug was fixed with a patch that you can download here: https://support.esri.com/en/download/7397 Hope this helps! - Rachel
