Wiki.GIS Has a New Look!
Have you visited Wiki.GIS.com recently? The wiki's main page has been redesigned! The new and improved face of Wiki.GIS showcases the best wiki pages, exclusive system design strategies content, new user help and GIS community events.
The redesigned main page highlights two sections for users who are new to wiki and new to GIS. The New to Wiki page briefly describes the purpose of the wiki and provides basic information about registering, creating pages, editing existing content and formatting using the wiki markup language.
The New to GIS page introduces the reader to the history, concepts and applications of geographic information systems. This page also includes a list of important organizations in the GIS community and links to GIS education.
The new main page also includes a GIS Trivia section, where you can test your knowledge of all things related to GIS, geography, cartography and more. In addition, upcoming events in the GIS community can be viewed on the GIS Events calendar. You can even add your own GIS events to the calendar.
