Using Web AppBuilder, it was possible to configure the Query Widget to use a spatial filter to "Only return features that have a spatial relationship with features in another layer" (see image below). This option allowed the user to return all records in one layer that had a spatial relationship with the entirety of another layer. It's a pretty common workflow. For example, we have a frequent need to query all inspections that have taken place on "environmentally-protected parcels". We have over 500 of these parcels scattered throughout our County, and in Web AppBuilder it was no problem at all to use the Query widget to find all inspections that were conducted on these parcels. However, now with Experience Builder, the Query widget only allows for configuring a Spatial filter to filter by "SELECTED features from data source" (see image below). This change requires the records be selected in the data source first, and makes it virtually impossible to accomplish many of our most common workflows. For example, with our 500 environmentally-protected parcels distributed throughout the County, the user would have to select these 500 parcels first before they can run the query. They often don't even know where these parcels are geographically located. We are currently working around this problem by using the Select widget as well, but the experience is clunky and not nearly as streamlined as what the users are accustomed to from WAB. We shouldn't have to inject a separate widget into the workflow to accomplish something that was done exclusively with the Query Widget in Web AppBuilder. Experience Builder's Query widget should allow for an option to configure a Spatial filter to filter by ALL features from data source, NOT just selected features.

Hi Zach, Thank you for your reply. I checked back in with one of the officers who initially reported this issue, but at this point they say the only problem they are having is that they are no longer able to browse to photos on the device and add them to Survey123. Since moving to InTune, they are only able to add photos using the camera option within Survey123 instead of loading in existing photos. I've reached out to our IT department to see if there is a setting within the InTune configuration that could be responsible. Thank you again, Lindsay

Our mobile workforce uses iPads with a combination of ArcGIS Field Maps and Survey123 to conduct hundreds field inspections daily. For the past year or two, our organization has been using AirWatch as our MDM without issue. But in the past couple of months, our IT department has started switching these iPads over from AirWatch to Intune. For the field staff who have made the switch, many have reported issues with submitting their surveys from within Survey123. They are in the mountain area so they mostly work offline and often will have dozens of surveys to submit at the end of the day. All their surveys have at least 2 photo attachments, but may have up to 10. Before switching to Intune, they didn't report any issues submitting surveys. Since the change to Intune, they say submitting surveys often fails. They'll go into their outbox at the end of the day and submit their surveys, but often when they check their device later that evening or the next day, the surveys haven't submitted. We have some downstream processes that need to happen shortly after each inspection is conducted, so having a delay in the surveys getting submitted is causing some issues for our workflow. I understand from this document that deployment of Survey123 with MDM solutions like Intune is not supported by Esri Technical Support, but it is expected to work just like apps that are deployed independently. Have any other organizations out there made the switch to Intune? If so, has Survey123's behavior changed for your field staff since the switch?

Since the change to Intune, they report that it often takes several attempts to sync changes and download an offline map (and each download attempt can take up to 30 minutes, so having one fail can cost valuable time). I understand from this document that deployment of Field Maps with MDM solutions like Intune is not supported by Esri Technical Support, but it is expected to work just like apps that are deployed independently. Have any other organizations out there made the switch to Intune? If so, has the behavior of Field Maps changed since the switch?

Hi Holly, In addition to what Rhett mentioned, I recommend checking the ownership of the map. Only the current owner of the map can manage the map's offline areas. If the map has changed ownership to someone else, your colleague will no longer be able to mange the offline areas. I hope that helps. -Lindsay

We have also run into this issue in my organization. Our field officers are using iPads and have noticed that maps in Field Maps are not loading correctly on their iPads. They are not creating offline maps, but rather are simply loading maps using their cellular connection in the field. This workflow used to work fine no problem (for the past 1.5 years), but suddenly in the last week or so, the maps only partially load. We've run some experiments by simply loading the maps and waiting to see how long it takes them to load completely, and we're seeing the maps now take 40-50 minutes to load. It is a problem because we have a point layer that the officers use to determine where to conduct inspections, so when that point layer does not load completely, they miss areas that should be inspected. Hi Kelly, we don't necessarily have a problem with our app freezing, but we have noticed that when we click the X button to clear the existing search results and execute a new search, the app reports the results from the prior search. With our app here, for example, if I search "380 New York St., Redlands", it will report Redlands as the result. Then, if I use the X to clear the results and search a second address using "670 E. Gilbert St, San Bernardino", the app will still report the Redlands result. I have to fully refresh the app to get the correct search result for the San Bernardino address.

We are trying to use Zone Lookup to support a workflow in which call center employees receive calls from the public in which the callers provide an address or parcel number. Then the call center staff use the application to search using that address or parcel number, and determine what jurisdictions or districts the searched location falls within. At no point do the application's users have any need for searching using their current location. For such cases, we would like to be able to disable the "Use current location" search option in order to minimize any potential confusion on the part of our users. We envision this change could take form as a toggle in the Zone Lookup configuration settings (e.g. in the Seach settings under "Interactivity"), that - when disabled - prevents the "Use current location" search option from displaying in the Zone Lookup app and instead simply requires the user to search using one of the configured search sources.

I understand from this post that I need to configure my Zone Lookup application with only one search source if I don't want my users to have to use the drop-down to select a source when searching. I'm wondering if it is possible to configure Zone Lookup to use all configured search sources concurrently when executing a search so that the user does not have to select a single source? For example, I would like to use Zone Lookup to allow users to search either using an address or by entering their parcel number. I have configured Zone Lookup to include the parcel layer as a search source (in addition to a geocoder) and parcel number as a search field. However, to be able to search using a parcel number, the user has to specify the parcel search source using the drop-down, which is annoying. I think it would be a much better experience if they could just enter their search term - regardless of whether it's an address or parcel number - and search using all configured search sources concurrently. A lot of our users have grown accustomed to the search experience in Web AppBuilder, which does provide this desired search experience with multiple search sources, so I think coming to Zone Lookup and having to select a search source from the drop-down is going to be a difficult adjustment for them.

We are working on standing up the Citizen Problem Reporter solution that we used the Solutions Deployment Tool in Pro to deploy (we deployed it before the June 2020 release). I now have in my AGOL content the "CitizenProblems" source hosted feature layer as well as multiple views created off of that feature layer (e.g. "CitizenProblems_trash"). I can see that these views are based on the values in the Category field, such as Category = 'Trash', but how is this Category field populated? I don't see the category field exposed in the Reporter app, so it's not clear to me how these values are being populated correctly. Essentially, I'm wondering how would I go about creating a new category and a new hosted view for that category. Any help is appreciated. Thanks, Lindsay Chris Fox

Hello Zhifang, We have a project that fits with scenario #2 in your comment from April 26th. Since it involves a publicly-available survey, the settings have been changed as you indicated, according to this document. However, we are now discovering that when public surveys are secured in this way, we can no longer view the data on the data tab of the Survey123 website, and the Feature Report functionality is no longer available. Generating Feature Reports is critical to our workflow for this project, so the fact that feature reports are no longer functioning when a survey is configured according to Esri's documentation seems like a major problem. We have a Survey123 form (built using Connect) that we would like to make available - in a web form, not the field app - in both English and Spanish. The form has been configured with Spanish strings for labels, hints, required messages and constraint messages. The labels, hints and required messages all behave as I would expect, but I'm seeing that the constraint messages appear in both languages, regardless of what language has been selected for the form. For example, here is an image of the web form being used in English: It's my understanding from this page that translating constraint messages is supported. Hello All, We have a 10.6 Enterprise Portal environment (on linux) that we are using to support our COVID-19 response efforts. We've noticed an issue when layers from AGOL are added to a webmap. After some research, the issue seems somewhat similar to this post, but in our case, we are building the webmaps from scratch, so ArcGIS Online assistant is not in the mix; nothing has been moved or copied over from elsewhere. Here are our repro steps: 1) On our enterprise portal, create a new webmap 2) Add some content that is hosted on that portal and save the webmap 3) Close and re-open the webmap - no problem 4) Now add some content from AGOL (anything that is shared publicly) and save the webmap 5) Close and re-open the webmap - we get an Error: "The layer could not be loaded." From what we can see, all the layers appear to load successfully, but what is the cause of this error? We'd have thought we would be able to add publicly-shared content from AGOL no problem.
