Wonderful post Ismael! I'm trying to use a field that host unique values and bring in the Survey with the following URL: i.e. https://survey123.arcgis.com/share/dee3b7561f724992838ca374c40de2dy?mode=edit&FireDepartmentId=711 Unfortunately I get the error below, so just checking if it is not supported or whether I need to do something different: Editing is not possible because the globalId parameter was not provided FYI, we are trying use and external application to retrieve records previously created and identified with a FireDepartmentId (the application does not have access to the globalId) to fill in the remaining information though the web form. I understand it is not supported. However, the PDF will open in a new tab directly in the browser when selecting the PDF file in the pop up window. What's the difference? Thanks. Javier

Good morning. Our staff keeps asking for an option to submit a request to generate and download a report for the data they've entered in Survey123 directly from the field app, so just checking if this is actually possible or if there will be a way to get it done in future versions of the application. Good morning. Since yesterday, I'm unable to download or refresh surveys in the Windows Survey123 application. Please advise, since this is limiting my capability to test and verify any updates published from Connect. FYI, I'm using version 3.9.149. Is there a way to fully uninstall all versions of the application. I'd like to install it again to see if that fixes the issue. Thanks. Javier

Hi James. We are having a similar issue retrieving the token through our inbox. The field is set to null, but we still want to retrieve the token when selecting the record from the inbox. We are using versions 3.9.148 (Field App) and 3.9.120 (Connect). FYI, we are trying to check if a record in the inbox has been previously edited by another user through the same workflow, and prevent a second user from updating, submitting, and overwriting the same record. Assigning records to individual users won't work, so we are exploring this option. Any guidance will be highly appreciated. Thanks. Javier

Thanks for the suggestions Phillip. I understand how we could leverage assignments to users to resolve this. However, we'd like to avoid relying on an intermediary to do these assignments, but rather have the users handling requests on the fly. Here is an example of what could happen: Form A - User A1 edits record 1 and sets its status to 'scheduled'. Form B - User B retrieves record 1 ('scheduled') from inbox and updates it to 'received'. Form A - User A2 has not refreshed the inbox, so he pulls the original version of record 1 from the inbox, updates it to 'scheduled', and unintentionally overwrites entry from user B, so the record is no longer 'received' and back in user B inbox. As I mention, our workflow can't rely on an individual to assign tasks, so we can't use the username in a where query clause. Also keep in mind this is an interactive environment where users that have access to Form A come and go and work in shifts, so the same record will need to be accessed by those on duty at any given time. Good moring. Is there anything in place to automatically notify users that a new version of the Survey123 Field App for windows is available for download? It is common for some of our clients to have an older version downloaded, so we need to reach out to them to make sure they have the latest version installed. Prompting windows users that they need to install a new version will be highly beneficial. Thanks. Javier

In our scenario, two individuals are working from different locations, but responsible for tracking items in the inbox, retrieving information, and updating information as needed. Is there any way in Survey123 to avoid the same record from being retrieved and submitted by two or more individuals? Filtering by user name won't be an option, since we won't to keep the number of Surveys published to a minimum. Ideally the inbox would auto-refresh on a periodic basis (setting), but this won't work in an offline scenario, so all I can come out with is the idea of versioning, where a record could be validated before the synchronization takes place. Workflow: Initial record is submitted and flagged as "0" Record is retrieved with the inbox in devices A and B Record is selected and edited in device A and flagged as "1". Record is then updated and submitted, compared to record flagged as "0" in the server, validated ("1 > 0"), and synchronized. Record in flagged as "2" in the server. Record is selected and edited in device B and flagged as "1", Record is then updated and submitted, compared to record flagged as "2" (previously updated and sync in device A), and not validated ("1 >/ 2"). Device B sync error message

Thanks again Doug. Much appreciated. I’ve noticed you have removed the group, but what if I want to keep it for displaying purposes (i.e. I want to keep Field 1a and 1b in a different box to clearly identify them)? I could add a note to show a header and change the font color, but still not sure if the nested group should be treated as a bug. Another questions. I’ve previously used ‘theme-grid’ instead of ‘theme-grid pages’ in the settings. Has anything change? I try to keep up with updates but can’t recall anything in this regard. Javier
