Zhifang, I am getting the same error that Chris was back in 2018. The survey is unique since the project is actually a Field Maps project where the data and photos are being taken in Field Maps (I simply created a survey from the feature service for the sole purpose of being able to get a feature report). I am aware that I can't control the size of the photos coming in from Field Maps with the custom report template. Some of the reports (Word docs) will generate, but ones that are larger in size are getting this Word error (same as above) where they are being created but you can't open them in Word. I am attaching all my docs. The third doc is a report that is broken. Thank you kindly. Amy

The design of the project I need requires clicking a feature type first (point, line or poly) and followed by 3 quick attributes (show below in 3 groupings- blue, orange, and green). Preferably the attributes are just button clicks that do not bring up a large white page at all. We just want to hit the buttons that stay on side of the map page so that we can still see the map screen while traveling at high speeds the entire time (from a helicopter). The choice lists follow a 6, 8, 6 pattern for the 3 attributes (first choice is pick one of 6, second choice is pick one of 8, third choice is pick one of 6) shown on the attached .jpg. It sounds like this will be included in the Sep. beta release, but I wanted to send over this .jpg anyway as a visual for the dev team. Thanks for all you are doing. @Mandy_Li

Hi, I also would like to see this functionality in Field Maps. Does anyone have a status of the ENH-000102471? Or, is there a work around that is suggested? Thanks.

We have staff who survey exotic vegetation from a helicopter. They love the split screen and large and quick buttons to add attributes to features. However, they need to draw polygons around vegetation on imagery that they see out the window of the helicopter that is never at their exact location. After digitizing the polygon of say a stand of melaleuca trees, they need to rapidly add many attributes to it such as species, abundance, and habitat type. The freehand draw polygon tool found in Survey123 would be the perfect tool to do this.

Kevin, This is extremely helpful, thanks for taking the time to explain. I will try that Save As using the MVB.

Kevin, I have experienced the same behavior but in the regular AGOL web map, not even the Beta Viewer. Any change to anything in the web map with a resave will cause the Field Maps form to disappear. If you change a popup, layer name, filter, symbology, etc and resave, the Field Maps form will be gone and you have to start over. I could share my project with you but I can't afford to risk it getting deleted again. I don't understand how to make copies of the items for you. Would you like me to share the originals and you can make copies for your testing? Amy Peters

James was able to help me. In order to check if there are answers in a repeat, the syntax should have been: ${if (repeat1 | getValue: “count”)>0} Thanks James!

James, I am getting this error when trying to run a custom feature report from a hosted AGOL survey and I'm officially stumped: Failed to parse ${ if[object Object]} Attached is my template and my survey xls. Thank you so much.

Thanks so much Brett! Yes, I accidentally duplicated it and couldn't delete it. I responded to Phil in the other post. You can delete this one for me if that's possible. Thx.

Philip, I really appreciate your response and I'm glad I asked it so that I didn't spend too much time trying to see if I had the ability to change the display of the decimal value via the syntax in Connect. I will submit an enhancement request with ESRI Support. Thank you so much! Brett Stokes's Blog

Hi, My watermark is working great using the bind::esri:parameters column using this statement: bottomRightWatermark="Photographed on: @[datetime:d MMM yyyy HH:mm] \n At: @[latitude longitude] \n Direction in Degrees: @[direction]&color=yellow&outlineColor=black&haloColor=white&size=32&bold=true&margin=10". However, the photo direction shows way too many numbers after the decimal point. Is there a simple way to round this number directly in the bind::esri:parameters column statement? Thank you! Ismael, Is this still the case? Have a customer who wants to do a signature in the web browser while filling out a survey. Thanks, Amy

Thank you Johnathan. The project is ongoing so we need to get the customer a new solution as soon as possible. This is because their current solution is a product called GeoLink that is failing due to Windows updates and the software not being upgraded. They map exotic vegetation species from a helicopter which is why they need to draw polygons of areas with infestations that are never right below the helicopter, and the collection of data must be very quick as they are flying fast to cover huge areas along transects with each flight. Each time they fly with the antiquated GeoLink system, they run the risk of the software not working and wasting thousands of dollars in helicopter time/gas.ismael chiviteJohnathan Hasthorpeismael chivite

Hi Ismael, Any update to the above idea? We are now in the final stages of researching/selecting the app(s) that would meet the requirements listed above in James Crandall's post. I have read about the Field Maps app but I still believe we were closer to accomplishing our complete project goals with the split screen tablet view in Quick Capture. The only functionality missing is the ability to draw a polygon offset from the location of the device. ismael chivite Thank you.
