There are no relevant statements or calculations on the field. There is no default value and it is not even a required field. I can't figure out any reason why the field is completely frozen from a sent survey but not a new survey on my mobile device. Thank you #james tedrick

I tested the Beta 3.1 August Hotfix today by publishing my survey with the Beta Connect app. I did not download any Beta version of the mobile app so I used the same Survey123 mobile app (version 3.0.144) that I've had. The bug I hoped it would resolve was losing the first record inside a repeat with a relevant statement on it after you saved a survey as a draft. I completed repeat, saved the draft, re-opened it, and unfortunately, the data in the first record was still gone.

Hi Philip, Thanks to you and Scott for your reply. I don't have any relevant statements that reference a field outside the repeat. All of them are inside the begin repeat and end repeat and they only reference fields in that repeat. Any other ideas? Amy

James, I have field staff that are also experiencing the same Save to Drafts issue described in this blog. The new data that is entered disappears and does not happen consistently every time, but happens enough that more than one person has reported this behavior. So, I have asked one surveyor to please test out the work flow where we rely on auto save instead of Save as Draft to see if that will be the best method until I can redesign the survey (the requirement to access a survey at a later time is going away since the project manager is requesting data be sent immediately after the field trip). I'll monitor this blog and post when I have an update.

James, I thank you for the super quick response. Yes, I was looking at the wrong format on the webpage. Once I looked at the right one, format-date, I was able to get it to work easily. Thank you so much and my apologies for the oversight. Amy

James, I understand that even though a field in the survey is a dateTime field, I still need to format it in the Instance Name. I can't figure out how to do this. I keeps showing the epoch time and not a string time. Could you please paste in an example of code that will format a dateTime field in my survey as a recognizable date (I don't really need time) in the Draft name of the survey? Thank you! Amy

Charleen, I'm having the same issue as you. Would you mind taking a minute to paste in your instance name in a response here in the blog for me? I would like to see how you formatted the date so that the epoch time was formatted to something recognizable as a date. Thank you, Amy

Is it possible, when using the pulldata function to reference a csv that has a username and password, to replace the password with asterisks so that the password can not be read in the survey? If there are onlookers while the survey is being filled out, it would be best to secure the password by not showing it as a clear word on the screen.

Like many others, we need to send contractors a .pdf versus a .doc so that it is protected from editing. The custom report beta tool is great, but it would be even better if it could do batch jobs and have the option to save as a .pdf. Thank you.

The only ways to select by area to batch update attributes on polygons are to select by polygon or free hand draw a polygon. Otherwise, you can select one polygon at a time (dot symbol). We really need to be able to select polygons the SAME way that you use the regular Select widget. I want to hold down the shift button so I can select polygons that are not adjacent to each other. We have folks spot treating exotic plants in the field and when they use the WAB, they want to be able to multi-select polygons that are spread out miles apart from each other and apply the same information to them.

Could you please confirm that a 1 second option will be available for ArcGIS online (not Portal) for location tracking in Collector 10.5? Also, I was able to configure the JSON to “updateInterval” “1” but our GIS admin had to do it for me. I don’t have the credentials to do it myself in the ArcGIS Online Assistant. Thank you.
