I'm trying to configure popups on a dynamic map service layer. While the popups display and work just fine in my web map in Portal, they will not display when I load the map in Explorer for iOS on my iPhone. The layer is a dynamic map service with several sublayers and I'm configuring popups on several of the sublayers. I have several other maps where this is working just fine with other map services so I'm guessing it must be something unique to this particular map service but I have no idea of how to figure out what it is. The service is secured (token) or I would share the url. Is there any options that needs to be enabled in ArcGIS Server?

I was thinking about this last night and wondered if the same bug applies to statistical queries on tables? I have the same problems with tables that don't have geometry. Same with query layers although I could see this being related to the bug if they use Oracle's SDO_GEOMETRY.

What I've done is to publish another service which uses query layers to tie the inspection items and inspection records together using a SQL join. You could also use a layer join in Arcmap as well. Another approach we've used is to add the inspection table to your dashboard and then use a query widget + list widget to display the results. Users can use the map to get the ID of the item they want to query and then use the query widget to retrieve the inspection records. I think I read somewhere that there is a related records widget being developed or perhaps has been published already. It's just not a core widget.

Thanks for the update! I wonder how long it will take to get this fixed? This is a pretty big deal for us...

While probably not something recommended by Esri, we've done similar things using triggers on the feature class table. There are obviously many things to watch out for here and it depends on your database whether or not this is possible. For instance, triggers are supported by most enterprise database systems but wouldn't work in a file geodatabase. If the intent is to then build a layer that showed items due for an inspection, perhaps you could just add a layer that uses a definition expression to show items whose last inspection was more than two weeks from the current date?

Hi Mark, Good to know we are not alone! At this point I have not found any resolution to the issue and have had to abandon the use of the statistical queries which really limits what you can do with Operations Dashboard unfortunately. Many of the widgets rely on these service calls to get the data. I've tested against geodb feature classes, geodb tables, query layers (which are supposed to be supported in 10.3.1) and have not been able to identify any pattern. Jade

We are doing something similar with catch basin inspections. What we've done is to set up our geodatabase with a feature class to store catch basin locations and attributes and an inspections table that is related to the feature class with a geodb relationship class (1 to many, catch basins to inspections). We then add both to Arcmap and use a definition expression to limit the catch basin feature class records to those that have not had a completed inspection within the last two years. This is then published to our ArcGIS server as an editable feature service and we then include this service in a web map (we use Portal but I believe this would work with AGOL as well). The inspector can then load the web map in Collector and as he completes a new inspection record (by creating a new related inspection record), the catch basin the inspection was completed on will be excluded by the definition expression as it now has a recent inspection record. Two years from the date the last inspection was completed, it will again be displayed on the map. Its working pretty well for us. The only problem we've had is that creating a related inspection record does not automatically trigger a refresh of the catch basin layer so the item does not immediately disappear from the map. You need to sufficiently zoom in/out etc to trigger the catch basin layer to refresh. Hope this helps!

We are setting up a new ArcGIS Server 10.3.1 instance and are experimenting with the statistical queries. However, any time we use the 'outStatistics' parameter, we get a 'unable to complete operation' error. Digging thru the server logs all we can see is a 'general geodatabase' error message. Our data is in Oracle Spatial 11gR2. Has anyone else had issues with statistical queries? It's a bummer as many of the widgets in Operations Dashboard rely on these which precludes their use for us. Here is an example of a typical outStatistics request: [ { "statisticType": "sum", "onStatisticField": "SHAPE.LEN", "outStatisticFieldName": "Length" } ] Thanks!

I don't know and unfortunately I don't have the capacity to deploy a new test system that can be federated with Portal. I do know that the Android version of the application does not have the same behavior. When it receives the token required message, it will display a login dialog and use the entered credentials to retrieve a new token which it then supplies to the secured service which seems like the correct behavior.

We did experiment with that but felt that connecting to ArcGIS server to publish features became extremely buggy. Also, when services were published they were registered with portal automatically which was nice but they were registered under the user account who published the service but they still had to goto portal to actually share the service. There just didn't seem to be that many benefits. The biggest issue however was the licensing impact. We are dealing with a 50 user portal license while we have close to 200 hundred users consuming services thru various mobile applications.

I thought maybe Collector was caching an expired token for the ArcGIS service however I uninstalled and reinstalled the application and saw the exact same sequence of requests and responses. I'm pretty sure that Collector is providing the token it gets for the portal to the secured feature service. Our portal and ArcGIS server our not federated so I don't know why Collector would be trying to do this.

Set Fiddler to delete the Proxy-Connection header and was able to log into my portal and open maps. Looking at the requests in Fiddler, it appears that when Collector tries to access the secured service, the ArcGIS server responds with a 499 Token required error: Collector then immediately responds with another request that includes a token (without prompting for credentials to generate a token). The ArcGIS Server then responds with a code 498 Invalid token error:

Miaogeng Zhang, So we have fiddler setup to act as a proxy server and have enabled HTTPS decryption. We have also updated the proxy settings on an iPhone to route thru this server/port. However, when trying to connect to our portal we get an error message: Portal Not Found Could not find fis.ipf.msu.edu. Please check the URL and try again Illegal start of token [<] Other applications seem to be working fine thru the proxy. For instance, capturing tons of traffic to our exchange server. Leads me to believe that Fiddler is setup correctly and is capturing traffic. Any ideas?
