Applications are often updated with newer more functional better looking templates as they are developed. For example, I'm sure many users will update applications to the latest Basic viewer included with the June 2016 release of ArcGIS Online. However when you do this you are going to have a new application URL. Users may have bookmarked or stored an older version of the viewer. If there were an option to 'redirect' users to the latest version of the application when the old retired version is opened this would be never be a problem. ... View more

It would be great if you could filter points depending on the user that logs into Collector. At the moment you have to create a webmap with a filter for each user, which in turn means you have to create a group for each user if you don't want all of the field workers to see lots of webmaps! If you have a workforce of 40+ that's a lot of configuration! We have a customer who wants to use Collector to update feature attributes. The points each user should see has an attribute with their username. If this attribute could be used to filter the visible points that would be ideal. ... View more

This request is similar to the Table View in Collector, but slightly different in that I'm not looking for a 'table' view. It would be great if you could view feature attributes in list view, very much like how assignments are displayed through the Workforce app. Perhaps there could be an option to configure what attributes would be shown in the webmap when you configure the popup (i.e. with the View/Edit attribute options). There could be a 'List' and 'Map' view similar to the Map Tour AppStudio template and you could select/edit point attributes from there. I have found that for some customers the spatial aspect of the data is not the most important and they would rather be able to sort by attributes, e.g. Order ID, Name, etc. ... View more

I have found many users wondering how they can view the data they have gathered with Collector/Survey123. This is very easy when you have basic data as you can view it in a table/on the map with popups/using charts via Operations Dashboard/Web AppBuilder/ArcMap/ArcGIS Pro. However, for more complex data this can be hard to achieve, for example with related data and attachments. This kind of data is becoming more and more popular with Survey123 as it provides a very simple interface to create this kind of data. A Reporting Configurable Web Application in ArcGIS Online would simplify the reporting aspect of this. It would input a feature layer, and have a number of functionalities: Section One - Display summary of data   This could be configured to display whatever fields are necessary using various chart types It would include charting information for each field from the configured feature service much like what is offered via the Survey123 website/charts configured in Operations Dashboard/ArcGIS Pro/ArcMap Section Two - Display each feature one at at time   For each feature, have a small map with it's location Also display a list of attribute data related to that particular feature       If there is related data associated with the feature, list all of these records       If there are photo attachments display these Section Three/Throughout - Option to export the report as a PDF or Excel Document   First section displays summary of charting data, and perhaps even generates Excel charts Subsequent sections display individual results from each feature in the feature service including photos and related records ... With ArcGIS Online, you have the ability to 'Add Layer from Web' as in the screenshot below: This is a very easy way of adding a wide variety of services to your map. In ArcGIS Pro there is no equivilant functionality. You have the option to add layers to a webmap and sync with an ArcGIS Pro map, or search for services registered with a portal but this isn't wuite as flexibe - you have to either register the services in your portal or add them via a webmap. Two features that would enhance it's functionality are: Ability to set default values Ability to set required fields You can already set required fields by having them configured as required at a database level. While looking for a suitable point symbol, you have to chose a category from a drop down menu as below: Then you have to scroll through the symbols in this category until you find a suitable symbol. There is currently no way to search these symbols (although you can add your own symbology). It would be really useful if tags could be added to each of these symbols so a user can simply search through the symbols (like in ArcMap and ArcGIS Pro pictured below). ... View more

I would like the ability to download ArcGIS Online templates (such as the Basic Viewer and Public Information applications) post configuration, similar to what you can do with Web AppBuilder (you can import into the developer edition). At the moment you can get the source code with default settings only. The documentation doesn't go into detail as to best practices for configuring the templates. On a Windows machine in Chrome, Firefox, IE and Safari, if you use the scroll wheel on your mouse the map zooms in/out of the map. On a Mac machine in Safari and Chrome, if you use the scroll wheel on your mouse you pan the map. I know you can zoom in and out by using the shift key, but should it not be consistent across all operating systems? Google and Bing maps maintain this consistency and I think that it confuses users when this is altered. ... View more
