My problem is that our date fields are not true dates. They are Oracle keys for dates. So it looks like it'll be time to build some views so that I can get actual dates... ah well.

In the ParksFinder there is something I stumbled across that I absolutely love. selectedFeatureID I can craft a URL like so... http://maps.cityoftulsa.org/parksfinder/?selectedFeatureID=Nor-722 I can do so for every single PARKS feature within that map. Which allows me to use off-site linkage to jump users from ANYTHING to that specific park. They can create PDF's with links from park names to that park on our map, they can send e-mails, create digital brochures, etc. What does it take to do the same thing on a WAB-created map? ( or is it even possible? )

Well, on a whim... I remembered that in the "REGISTERED INFO" of the process I USED to have more robust entries. So I entered... http://servername.main.ourdomain.org:3344/webappbuilder/ to the registered info URI section and voila... I don't have time today to see if it will let me save... but at least it's opening now. UGH! That was an annoying 2 hour ordeal...

Download the WebAppBuilder. Unzip. Transfer unzipped files to new folder. ( Avoids having app buried levels deep in folders. ) Double-click startup.bat Browser window opens. Enter my portal... portalname.maps.arcgis.com and hit [Continue] button. Browser window requests App ID. Login to the Portal you specified in the browser window of point 7. Add Web AppBuilder as an item like directed in the 'Get Started Document.' (GSD) In the item details page, click REGISTER under App Registration section like directed in the '(GSD).' In the item details page, copy the App ID under App Registration like directed in the '(GSD).' In the browser (from point #7), paste the App ID into the text box of Web AppBuilder, and click Continue like directed in the '(GSD).' Get Invalid redirect_uri anyway... Head over to ArcGIS for Developers. Make sure your app is all setup. Still doesn't work. What's going on?! It was working fine a few days ago. Then suddenly it stopped saving ANYTHING I did in the Web AppBuilder altogether. It would run during the session, but once I closed the browser nothing I had saved would be saved. So I deleted Web AppBuilder, downloaded a new copy, UNREGISTERED and RE-REGISTERED the App... did everything like before... and still no love. I have maps I need to be making... HELP!

But it only has a tiny line of available options. Our RAW water system is a little more complicated than that.

regan-sarwas/shortlist-storytelling-template-js · GitHub I'm hitting a weird (won't load) issue on this map and wondering if anyone has used this particular template or has an idea. There are a couple config attributes called default_sharing_url and default_proxy_url that have me stumped. Where would a user go to research these two variables?

We're propping up the LGM to use internally and I'm wondering if anyone else has noticed (or has a working solution for) the missing pieces for "Raw Water" and "Fiber?" It just isnt there. Does anyone know if it's coming?

I don't have a direct answer, and I haven't dabbled much in Python yet, but have you checked out the help pages? http://help.arcgis.com/en%20/arcgisdesktop/10.0/help/index.html#//007000000007000000 There is also a question over at StackExchance that might help? python - Automate converting labels to annotation in ArcMap at multiple scales? - Geographic Information Systems Stack E… Good luck and don't forget, if you have ESRI licenses, you can contact the help desk and they can walk you through any pieces you are stuck on. Their staff is great at this.

Key #1) You will see ZERO points or polygons on your map UNTIL you click or search for a location. Key #2) This app is HIGHLY (and fairly simply) customizable.

A fix was discovered for this. <meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=edge" /> This has to be the first element inside of the `<head>` tag. It has to do with Compatibility Mode.

I've submitted a bug / issue in GitHub already but I'm needing an answer / solution quickly so I'm posting here as well. The problem is the app splashscreen is broken in IE 11. IE is the City's standarized browser system and as such we really need this app to work in it or else we have a problem. We use Chrome (and FIrefox) for development to ensure browser compatibility, but it works in those browsers. (technically I haven't checked in Firefox yet, but it works in Chrome) What I see in Chrome is as expected. But IE (see version image above) shows me this... Which, I believe, is not the standardized nor expected option. lol Does anyone have any idea(s) on what could be the problem or solution? EDIT: I forgot to add a link in case you want to test it in your browser. http://maps.cityoftulsa.org/MyGovernmentServices/

Here's my situation. We have a fire department coverage grid. It encompasses the entire city. Each grid is a separate page in our Fire Department Map Book. On a given page there are custom icons showing each apartment. We have an apartment book. Each apartment is assigned a number. Up till now these pages have all been managed by MapInfo. We are an ESRI shop. I want to move away from MapInfo as well as get this data into the LGM. The problem I am having is that I have no idea how to do ONE SPECIFIC NEEDED FUNCTIONALITY in ArcGIS for Desktop what the Map Book creator did in MapInfo. Basically, each map that contains 1, or more, apartments has an INSET DATA block (think spreadsheet) showing a brief tabular block of data. Apartment Number, Apartment Name, Apartment Address I can do inset maps... but I've never done Inset Data. Is this possible to do with Data Driven Documents? I would LIKE to move the Fire Department to the ESRI Fire Run Book but I need to include that little Inset Data block and I don't know how.
