So I've tried adjusting the JSON. "name": "SITEADDID", // field id "alias": "Site Address ID", // label "fieldDescription": "The ID of the address point", // Help text "visible": false, // show this field? "typeField": false, // subtype field? "tooltip": "", // placeholder text "displayType": "text", // text, checkbox, radio, textarea, url, email "defaultValue": "GF" + new Date().getTime(), "locked": true You would THINK that changing Visible to False would NOT affect this field working as it is entered in the JSON... But it does. If you make this field VISIBLE:FALSE then the DEFAULTVALUE that I created doesn't actually enter into the newly created Address. But if I turn is VISIBLE:TRUE then the enduser can change the contents of the field NO MATTER WHAT THE LOCKED ATTRIBUTE IS SET TO. I cannot begin to describe my frustration level.

So I am using the GeoForm so that our Permitting department can add address points that do not already exist and apply permits to those newly created address points. The problems I am having are that : Point Identification We have exactly TWO entry points for creating new addresses and we need to differentiate between them when viewing them. We have a single user converting ALL of our address points using ESRI Desktop 10.5.1 and then there will be this GeoForm available internally only. I need to have ALL GeoForm entries to have a SiteAddID field that shows it's from the GeoForm... so adding "GF" to the ID is Step One of our needs. SiteAddID Customization I have tried a number of options for customizing the SiteAddID field entry from the GeoForm. We have a proprietary system that connects SiteAddressPoints to Permits and it does this using the SiteAddID field. I need to customize the entries for this field through the GeoForm but it's not working. So my current attempt to adjust this field was to try to have the field be invisible to the end user of the GeoForm and create a DefaultValue for the field inside the GeoForm config/default.js file. I figure if I can adjust this then I could use JS to get the adjustment I wanted. But nothing I do causes the defaultValue to change anything if the field is invisible. I do NOT want the user to even see the SiteAddID field because I fear they will cause issues somehow. Just make it invisible and modify the input... Much like using the Attribute Assistant on Desktop. Can anyone help me?

Arcade is excellent. I'm digging in and using it alot. But one of the things I am finding a need for is to generate random numbers. I build a lot of demo maps with fake data. I have to generate fake budgets, fake dates, etc. I generally just 'lorem ipsum' for descriptions but I need to be able to better generate more (close to) realistic numbers. Does anyone know how I could do this with Arcade? My preference would be Random(x) to get a number between 0 and X. But that isn't to be. Anyone?

So in the Capital Projects Dashboard there is a section that displays the project details... At the bottom of that section there is a 'table' (html) that has colored cells to highlight the project phase. PreDesign | Design | Construction | Closeout I am COMPLETELY clueless how to add that in. Does anyone know?

In the past few years as I have made more and more web-maps for various City Government departments and individuals, based on focused geospatial data as well as generalized data, one of the most common threads requested is the 'Kitchen Sink' map... or "Can you add every layer we develop here at the City to this map?" I've just been informed that I'll be tasked with a similar map soon... The project management will be asking for 50-100 feature classes / layers to be added to this map. Other than using the Advanced Search Widget (so that Rest Services can be queried without being included in the map as a layer in the TOC) by rscheitlin I am curious if anyone has any experience with similar web mapping conundrums and how they were handled?

So I dug around in the Routing Service that suddenly stopped working and discovered the URL : http://route.arcgis.com/arcgis/rest/services/World/Route/NAServer/Route_World So I created a new item in AGOL. Added it to the web map. ArcGIS Web Application But now it asks for a login everytime you try to do Directions. Does anyone have an idea how to make this thing work?

How is it possible that I can search for almost an hour just trying to find a URL that I can plug into a Widget in Web App Builder to do Directions...? I thought I already had this solved by having a Public Routing Service in my Organizations group but it suddenly no longer works... So fine... I will create a new one. 45 minutes later and I have no idea where to go to setup a new service or to just get a URL to plug into the Widget so it will work again... Over a year working and suddenly it stops. Frustration with ESRI's overcomplicated means of information handling is driving me crazy.

We are using a proprietary software package that integrates with Portal. It has an optional setting that asks for the ORGID. I know that you can get the orgid from an AGOL Organization... but can you do this from a local / Internal portal installation?

Turns out that the Relational Datastore cannot be installed on a drive other than C: We were keeping these new servers separated out... OS on one drive and apps on another. We uninstalled and reinstalled Datastore... created the ACTUAL DataStore on a different drive and all was fine... But the Apps needs to be installed on C:

Unable to set <server> as the hosting server. Failed to update federated server '<server>:<port> (id: <id>)'. Failed to validate the server managed database '/enterpriseDatabases/AGSDataStore_ds_76i0psz6'. This is the message we get when we try to set the FEDERATED ArcGIS for Server from the drop down in : Portal > Organization > Edit Settings > Servers > Hosting Server We have the following setup... Server01 : ArcGIS Server Server02 : Portal Server03 : Relational Data Server (Data Server Installed and Configured) On Server03 we have installed the Datastore app and configured it, pointing it to Server01. On Server01 it shows the following: On Server02 we have federated Server01. So why am I showing an Exclamation? Do I need to create a GeoDatabase manually? The Wizard for DataStore has been run... Any ideas? Suggestions?
