For what it’s worth… if I am following this conversation correctly… my Save Session Widget copies correctly to any of the widgets I placed it in. I’m using FireFox. The only other option I could see would be to make sure that you Copied the correct Folder. When these widgets are unzipped you see a SaveSession file folder. This is not the correct folder to copy to the server. Make sure you copy the next folder in, which should also be named SaveSession. ~ Nick

Solved my own problem by commenting out line 429... this.saveToFileForm.submit(); of the widget.js I'm not sure if this is totally correct...but it works.

Hi David, Nice Widget. It seems to work but I am experiencing a couple errors. It successfully creates my session with the layers active and the extent saved. It also stores it in the table. However, when I click on the download map button or Save to file link it errors our. It tries to redirect me to a website and I get a 405 error. Now when I click on the Save to File it gives me the 405 error but still allows me to download the file. I can import the file successfully without error.I get the same results regardless of whether I have the Use Server to Download option checked or unchecked. What should I be placing in the URL ... or where should that be directing to? I'm also using the local layer widget so I'm not sure if that has anything to do with this. Thanks, Nick

Hi Robert, I have an idea for a Security Widget to add to this list of totally awesome widgets you create. I hope I can explain this well enough. Let me know if this just won't work. I have my splash screen displayed every time a user hits our website. The user cannot get by that splash screen (as far as I know), without checking the box and clicking OK. So could that idea be modified to contain / pass username and password credentials to a database? No matter how many times a user hits the index.html them will always be prompted to enter a username and password. The site will not work until correct credentials are entered and verified. On the back end of the widget the user would be prompted to select a table (SQL?) that contains the username and password information. The widget config could also ask the admin to setup the username and password fields in the database. If the database is in SQL users can create the table in ArcDesktop and even manage the accounts from ArcDesktop. Maybe I have over simplified this in my mind, but it seems the easiest way to secure the website is to have a WAB widget that opens at startup and forces users to enter correct information before they can use the site. Thought? Thanks, Nick

Robert, Quick question. Do you have any plans on creating an Aloha Widget similar to what you had in Flex or do you know of another way of getting this into WAB? Thanks,

Is there a version of the LocalLayer Widget that works with WAB1.3? Will LL1.2 work?

Ok...so a follow-up to the previous message. I changed line 143 this.matchingCheckBox = null; to this this.matchingCheckBox = true; and line 145 from this.matchingMap = false; to this this.matchingMap = true; and it works. The thing I am missing is that the check box does not show as being checked. When I click on the check box the record count doesn't change. When I uncheck the box the record count shows everything in the dataset.

Hi Michael, Those sections of code were for 1.1. There may be something else in the code that is controlling the behavior. I would make sure you clear your browser cache and I've also found I need to back out of WAB builder and get back into after making certain changes.

I asked the same thing... he pointed me in the direction of the geoprocessing task which is nearly identical as his flex widget. The geoprocessing task has been working well for me.

Tim, Funny…we were just looking at our sites today and thinking the same thing about the AT. One workaround that I found was that you can resize the AT in the website. So users can also click just below the minimize button and drag the AT down so it takes up very little space. When the user searches it doesn’t open to the original size anymore. Another solution would be to set the initial size of the AT to be very small and make the use increase it in the App Tim Jacobsen ~ Nick

I'm not sure. I found it fairly annoying but simple to add this code into the Query widget.js code... var layerId = this._getLayerIndexByLayerUrl(this.currentAttrs.config.url); if (layerId === 17){ queryParams.orderByFields = ["STATION"]; } else if (layerId === 18){ queryParams.orderByFields = ["DEPARTMENT"]; } Just match up the layerid with the correct field name of the service.
