Robert, I saw this post. I know I already mentioned this to you but adding the attribute table, or in some way hijacking the attribute table that is present in the WAB, and using that with the eSearch tool in a similar way as the Flex builder would be greatly appreciated. The current attribute window is ok... but there seems to be a lack of control about what layers get shown in it... not to mention it can be slow since it is trying to find all records in the visible extent.

Hi Tim, Thanks for getting back to me. I don't think that I can share the basemap... it actually isn't a basemap. I added an imagery service from my server into the Web Map in AGOL as a basemap. The projection of that service is in PA State Plane NAD 83 North Zone. The conversion of the units works correctly. My problem is that the tool does not zoom at all when using my local projection. Everything works correctly using the Web Mercatur projection, or whatever the standard ESRI basemap uses. Hopefully this info helps. If you absolutely need a services / basemap in PA SP NAD83 North then I can see what I can do. Thanks,

ok...so here is an update. I actual do not have to reproject my services. However, I must use an ESRI basemap when making the webmap in AGOL. Then the tool works fine. The same problem exists...how do I use this with State Plane Feet? Nick

Tim, Very nice widget. I found that it works perfectly in the WebMercatur projection (or whatever the default is for ESRI Maps). However, I think I am asking a similar questions as Thomas. I am unable to get this widget to work in another projection. Our websites run in State Plane Feet. I noticed that the conversion works correctly but the zoom to location does not. I suppose I could get around this by reprojecting the service into Web Mercatur and everything would probably work fine. I would rather not do that if I can avoid it. Any other solutions as to how I can get this to work in SP? Thanks, Nick

Robert, Are there any future plans to add / hijack the attribute window that is currently in the WAB and use to in the same way as the FLEX eSearch widget? I like that ESRI added the attribute window, but there seems to be a real lack of control in what layers show up in the attribute window. Just a thought Nick

OK…so now I see the changes. I removed the tool…for the 3rd time from the entire WAB. I created a brand new app, and finally I see the changes. I think I’m good now thanks. Not sure why they wouldn’t show up before. ~ Nick

Tom, Maybe this is a dumb question, but you mentioned that I should be able to specify the units in the configurator. Do you mean the Web App Builder? I downloaded the latest version of the widget and everything looked the same in the WAB. 03/04/2015 - stacked area measurements added logic for calculating using map units (specified in configurator) added ability to change the measure text size and color ~ Nick

Tom, Would I change that in the following folder? WAB_Java\server\apps\4\widgets\Measure\setting\Setting.js<file:/// WAB_Java\server\apps\4\widgets\Measure\setting\Setting.js> I tried this but nothing has been changing for me. Now when I make those changes the conversion numbers don’t even change. ~ Nick

Tom, I just read back my last respond and I think it failed to paste the correct location. I changed the setting where you initially add the widget so the WAB can see the widget. This changed nothing. The other location is the settings.js that apply to the specific app. When I changed those settings the conversion numbers in the config in the WAB changed but the measurements on the screen were still incorrect. Basically, if I use meters I get the correct measurement that should be in feet. Sent from my Verizon Wireless 4G LTE DROID

Thanks for the reply Tom… So is the this folder…WAB_Java\server\apps\4\widgets\Measure\setting (tried this and it changed the conversion numbers but did not actually change the values on the screen) Or this location…WAB_Java\server\apps\4\widgets\Measure\setting (which is where the WAB looks for the list of available widgets)??? I tried the second like which changed nothing. The values did not change and the conversion numbers did not change. ~ Nick
