Hi Nevin, What are you not wanting the users to do? It seems like just a simple web application would do what you are asking. I mean, take a look at this map http://www.arcgis.com/apps/OnePane/basicviewer/index.html it's kind of crazy busy and has "a lot" of functionality, but the general public can't really "do" anything with the map besides pan, zoom, click on pop-ups, and turn layers on and off. You can even restrict more of that by configuring the app (like not allowing a table of contents to have people turn layers off, etc.). Are you wanting to restrict this more? The above example is the "classic" viewer. Better yet would be using the "simple view" web app. There is not a lot you can do with that: https://www.arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=21f8e7d08a4140d1a33b9089446dd8de (though I am having a hard time getting the app to actually load)

Hi Dan, I really appreciate the reply. I have looked through those links before. The overview discusses the different LAS tools which includes adding files (which basically takes an existing LAS dataset and adds additional .las files to it). The original data in .las format may be what I need but I am hoping for some more clarity from folks who has used this type of data before. I appreciate your help!

That is interesting. What account are you on now? Have you tried logging into AGOL using the username of "moremountainbiketrails" with your google plus password?

Hi Everyone, I think this is a super easy task, but I am not sure if I am missing something or not. I am hoping that one of you GeoNet geniuses can help me make sure I am doing this correctly. I am creating a TIN for a project. Here is the exact wording of the request: Provide an integrated bare earth surface model that combines both aerial LiDAR data and ground-based survey data, including survey points from the submerged stream channel (as applicable), in ESRI triangulated irregular network (TIN) format. Now, I see my .las data (in which I am able to create an LAS Dataset and then convert it to a TIN), and I see some survey points as well. Though, I don't understand how I am to supposed to include both of these data and make a TIN out of it. The LAS Dataset To TIN—Help | ArcGIS for Desktop tool that I am using only asks for the LAS data. Would it be safe to assume the the LAS Data already has the ground-based survey control points integrated into it (since the LAS data does have elevation and classification)? Or am I completely missing something here? Please help and thanks! Oh, I am using ArcGIS Pro 1.2 but also am using ArcMap 10.3.1 - either way, it does not matter (I don't think). I also have 3D Analyst. Managing Data Federal Esri Surveying GIS for Hydrographic Surveying Land Use / Land Cover / Forest Cover Mapping

Hi Malgorzata, When you run this, are you getting an error? Or is it not updating any of the rows? It looks like there may be an issue with your if statement. What are you wanting to see in column [0]? The single quotes are throwing me off. Can you explain that more? Also, you may want to consider adding your code to the syntax editor by going to "Use advanced editor", click on the double arrows, choose Syntax Highlighting, and choose Python.

also, take a look at this sample code for graphics layers: Create circles | ArcGIS API for JavaScript I had another thought... I'm not a javascript programmer, but have you tried re-ordering your functions around just to see if it would work or not (like putting "graphics" in front of "graphicslayer")?

Glenn, I am not sure if this makes a difference or not, but does it help to name your graphics layer variable a different name (just something like 'glayer' to make sure it is different)? Have you tried toying around in the Sandbox: ArcGIS API for JavaScript Sandbox It might help others here to see your code blocked out. To do this, Use advanced editor in your forum post, click on the double arrows, click on syntax, and then Javascript (or html).

Richard, I really am at a loss. I tried toying around with this in the sandbox and could not get the basemap to change. I feel like it has something to do with this line: var map = response.map; ...but I really don't know. Just some advice, it might help to put your code in the code editor (click on "Usa advanced editor" > double arrows > Syntax > Javascript)

Oz, Unfortunately, these types of advanced functionality come at a cost. It sounds like the least cost option is to go with an unfamiliar open-source-type of software and learn the process from there. Since you will be doing this over and over, you will need a more permanent solution that will be easy for you to replicate. It might be worth looking into the tools mentioned by Ron Fisher or Chris Donohue, GISP since they surely can't cost more than an Advanced License.
