Thanks for your help. I figured out that if I do the survey anonymously the other locators don't show up and there isn't an error. So, I just created a view of the World Geocoding Service that is for my county and am calling it a day. I'm not going to have so many searches that it's going to impact me a great deal. (knock on wood.)

OK. So I figured out how to set the search layers in the map settings and tested it out and it works. Now I'm trying to figure how to customize the XLS forms to look at the layer. I figured I could set it up in a test Survey123 app and then look at the XLS form to see what it had configured. Except, the Survey123 won't let me turn off all of the locators. I have to have at least one. I see when I go to the survey that it shows the layers as an option, but is there a way to turn off the locators all together?

Buckle up, buttercup. This is a ride. (And, yes, I have looked at the Address Data Management Solution. Still doesn't have the one key component I need.) I spent 2 weeks figuring out Survey123 connect, then found out it doesn't work the way I want and then discovered the Survey Widget and thought I could use it to do what I want it to do. The "survey" is actually a form to apply for a new address. Currently the user fills out this application wherein they have to measure and list intersections. Sometimes the measurements are wrong, sometimes we get hand-drawn maps, etc. I figured if we have a single form with a map right in the form, they would be more apt to use it. And we can have them place the driveway directly where it is going to be without having to measure. My biggest issue is with the map and getting it to zoom to somewhere near where the address is going to be. My thought was to have them zoom to the parcel. The map inside Survey123 doesn't allow you to search by a layer in the map, so I created a locator and had everything working the way I wanted. Only to find out that locators don't work with public surveys. No worries... I'll just build it in Experience Builder where I can use a layer as the source for the search. So, here's the thing, I can't figure out how to make the Survey "look" at the map, and I can't get the map in the survey to turn off, even though I have it marked as hidden. I can get the data to pull from the map to the survey, but not from the survey to the map. When I test it and put in my information, then go click on the map they show up as two different records. I did connect the survey and the map. It looks like this is the way to do it? I tried adding the name and address fields to the connection to see if it would populate the survey, thinking that maybe if they put the point first, I would be able to finish the survey after they did, but it did not populate the existing form, although it did create a feature with the information that I supplied in it. They do supply the parcel ID earlier in the survey and I had thought it would be nice for the map to zoom to the parcel with that information, but it is my understanding that I would need to create CSV with the x, y of the parcel ids to do that. Since there is a good chance these are new parcels I want to make sure the CSV list is updated nightly. Which means another script to run something at night and one more piece where things could go wrong. Any ideas? Am I asking it to do something it doesn't do? Why can't I use my locators? (That last one is rhetorical.) I have attached my XLSForm, and the here is the app I'm working on. (Yes. It's looks bad. I'm working on functionality first. LOL) Please help. Or send beer.

I know I've already upvoted this one, but I am reminded once again, how much of a PITA it is when our server goes down. I'm getting an email or phone call every 5 minutes while IT is working on the problem, even though I posted the information banner and updated the splash screen on the app most often used. I don't have time to go into every app I've deployed and updated them. If esri is going to recommend user-focused apps, there has got to be a better way to deploy the information banner.

I could have sworn I saw something somewhere but I can't find it now. I need something that shows me what settings/functionality is available from Survey123 Connect that works in Field Maps and the Web App. I know I can research each one individually, but it would be nice to see them all in one place. That way I don't spend half a day trying to create a grid in something that will be deployed in web app because I didn't see the sentence about it buried in a tutorial.

I would like to see label options other than centered or offset in Map Viewer for polygon layers. Like maybe edge? I have two layers that are "almost" identical. Zoning parcels and tax parcels. I can't see both labels at the same time, only the one that is on top. If I use offset, for one of them, it sometimes puts the label outside of the polygon, which is problematic for many reasons. I would like to put one or the other along the boundary of the parcel so they don't overlap. I would also like to be able to re-create our property division maps, which has labeling in specific locations for different layers depending on whether the feature is an outlot, subdivision or CSM. I'm trying to do a similar thing, but I want the user to be able to pick from a list. I have a filter with a list set up on the map and I want the same filter set up on the splash screen. When the splash screen is open and I use the filter, I can see the map navigate to the correct place. Then, when I continue to map, the map goes back to the initial extent. Here is the app I created (without the filter on the splash screen but it is in the map.) Is there a way to get it to "stick?" I know it works for searching, but I would like the user to be able to zoom to all the zoning parcels in a town and only see those parcels. Another thing I would like to do is to have the zoning overlay layer only draw for the selected town as well. The list I created filters based on the prefix in the zoning code. If the prefix is 002 it filters the zoning parcels in the Town of Avon, etc. Am I asking too much, or just not thinking of all of the available tools?

Found a solution: Coming back to this question. I was able to fix it by defining overviews with -1 set as the Number of Layers. Then I built the overviews with Define missing overview unchecked. Found the solution here.

Hey @MollyCasey , I didn't even really do a wide release of the OneNote manual. I started filling it out, but it was getting really clunky. I wanted to be able to put in GIFs and that's not supported. It would also have only been available to those people that are in the GIS Data Users Teams Group. I want people who don't have access to GIS to be able to see what we have available.

Updating my earlier comment... The OneNote "solution" for a user manual didn't work like I wanted it to. Instead I made a Geospatial Storefront using Hub on our intranet. Anybody on the network can get to it, with account holders able to see different sections. I can't share the actual site, but I have a Miro Board that I used for a presentation at a conference if anyone wants to take a look. It's still a work in progress and will obviously grow and expand as our GIS does.

My end goal is to have an image service that has downloadable tiles in our open data portal. This dataset will also serve as our imagery basemap. (Unless that's a bad idea to have the open data and the basemap from the same service. If so, let me know, please and I'll duplicate this or the service.) I haven't ever done this before. The total area is 720 sq miles. Most of it is 6" resolution and there is a 3" resolution inset up the center (inside the black outline.) The imagery is 4-band MrSID, but I have it designated as Natural Color. I haven't done statistics or analyzed it yet. Other things to note, I am using ArcGIS Pro 3.3.1 and our server is 10.9.1. I do have access to Pro 2.9.x, and we are upgrading our server next month to 11.3 or .4. (I can't remember which. whatever the latest not ".0" version is. That's IT's call.) I know there are overviews drawing for that area at larger scales. It looks like they pop in at about 1:41000. What can I do to get them to draw at the same levels as the rest of the dataset?
